Y’all have a great line up in the garage! I usually tie down my SXS from the lowest part of the suspension, ie; a arms. That way when you hit a bump it doesn’t snatch the straps.

yes! been waiting for this one! results were pretty much what you would expect given that massive power plant and only the 1 brake application was nice to see..

It stayed consistent and maintain the speed amazingly, can’t wait for the 5.2 powered rumored raptor and GM Silverado which is said to be powered by a supposedly rumored test engine that will be 6.2l and supercharged and only meant for that said vehicle, can’t wait for the muscle truck wars again

Time to start doing Ike and Super Ike gauntlet on tuned vehicles. Test stock then test with tuned/deleted or Banks Derringer or Calibrated Power Emissions intact tuning.

I know plenty of people here in florida with Raptors and TRX's towing 10000 pound boats with these types of trucks, and although the truck isn't rated for it they only go around 20 to 30 miles at most to get to the boat ramp and frankly never have problems with anything. I understand that the rating includes both the powertrain along with the suspension, but with slightly stiffer coil springs in the back these trucks would tow like a regular light duty pick ups. All be it there baja performance would go down, but the frames of those trucks are even stronger than there other trims, the powertrains are beefed up to take constant abuse, which only leaves the suspension since its naturally softer for the offroading.

The motor and transmission can handle the weight pretty well. It’s the off-road setup that kills the truck’s payload and towing capacity

I'm not surprised the TRX did well its a built truck with tons of power and since suspension is a component in limiting tow capacity thats the only thing limiting its tow capabilities not lack of power. Quick question, so the TRX had a spare tire mounted in the ned which you moved it appeared there was also a spare under the truck? Two spares or did you get an extra?

Awesome truck, just a tip for tying down vehicles in the future. You should tie down as close to the wheels as you can. In your case inside the lower control arms would be best with what you are using. This eliminates the chances that your straps come loose and or chaff the paint because your UTV can no longer bounce with suspension flex.

How did it feel hitting bumps? That's what I'd be more curious about-- how that specialized suspension feels in terms of stability. It's obviously got the power! Maybe y'all should consider adding this as part of your test? I'd love to see a towing *handling* test that incorporates trailer sway and truck bouncing.

Just to mention , i just discovered that all the hemi engines like in ram , dodge , jeep can only show lowest mpg 4.7 Anything lower then that it will keep showing 4.7 mpg maybe its setup like that. So in the comparison its not fair with other vehicles when you compare mpg I also have 2019 ram 1500 thats why I really like your videos , keep it up 👍🏻

Who would have thought a truck that has a boosted engine could do the gauntlet without issue. This should be something ALL manufactures should offer in there HD trucks. a gm, ford, ram, whoever. You would see a lot less diesels on the road I suspect.

Obviously it’s going to pull good going up the mountain. I don’t think any of us thought it wouldn’t. It’s just that the suspension can’t handle any REAL weight. They should do it again, double the weight and see if their shocks are still working. What would be cool is if it had some kind of airbag system that is only used for towing. That way it could override the trick off-road shocks and be able to haul more weight.

I know its not a fair comparison but wow 966 lbs payload on the trx while my equinox has a 1300 lbs of payload with towing of 3500lbs. Which can fit four people and max tongue weight

That’s super impressive but with a trailer loaded like that you can’t take advantage of the crew cab... the bike weights about an average man (200lbs) so with that trailer you could only have one passenger... definitely not what I was thinking.... amazing 🤩 truck though!!!!

If I could afford a TRX, which I can’t, 1st I wouldn’t care about poor fuel economy 2nd it would be just fine to have to make 2 or 3 trips, more reasons to drive this crazy beast!!! One thing I hate is for a while I’ll wonder if every lowly Rebel is a mighty TRX coming up on me, just put the price you paid in white numbers across the hood, we’ll know it’s the Lamborghini if trucks!

Impressive as long as you take no gear, no extra fuel, no other passengers to enjoy the trip with. Not even enough cargo capacity to get that high demand TP back home.
