Hey guys and welcome to todays video where I want to show you how to correctly use The Ordinary argireline solution a 5 common mistakes to avoid. This should help you maximise the anti aging benefit and I hope you find it useful.. I would love to know your thought on this product so let me know in the comments below.. Love you all so much xx
I use a couple of small drops of argireline to dampen my Frownies instead of water. I have one deep line between my eyebrows that I get from sleeping on my side (with my face smashed into the pillow). The extra boost seems to make a difference.
Question for you. I am using a micro current device but don't want to spend the outrageous price of the serum that goes along with the machine. Could you recommend an ordinary product to be used as the conductor serum? I was thinking of the hyaluronic acid
I absolutely love this product! I do use it with the Matrixyl. It has greatly softened my forehead wrinkles. I adore The Ordinary line but these 2 are now key players in my skincare routine. I'm 60 and was recently told I look like I'm 40!
Yes Nancy, me too! I use both products as well. He is correct...wait for the Argireline to dry first ( apply on my forehead, under eyes and temple then fan dry). then I mix with the Matryxl for all over. I am 59 and same here..have been told I look late 30s early 40s! love this stuff! It really works.
I've been using both of these together all over my face for almost a year and disappointingly not noticed much visible difference. However, for the last 3 months I've been targeting the argireline on the areas most needed, followed up by a mix of both over my whole face. And I have to say I'm absolutely blown away by the difference it's made to my forehead lines and crows feet now that I'm using it correctly. I'll never be without it now. I'm nearly 60 and was considering botox but honestly now feel I dont need it. We need to learn how to use these products properly for maximum benefit. Thank goodness I saw this video or I'd still just be slapping it on or worse given up on it altogether 🤷♀️
You’ve mentioned several times how the Argireline. + Matrixyl combo is superior to the Ordinary Buffet, but I’m wondering if you could do a video comparing the combo to the Ordinary Buffet with copper? I’m really curious about that. Great video!
On another note. I wish that companies wouldn't formulate every single product with niacinamide and HA. I don't need it in every step of my routine but it is difficult to get away from.
Its a cheap way to get a claim. I dont really experience a problem with the niacinemide though, with the products I use, but HA In literally everything is annoying.
I started laughing reading this bc I have to have carefully VERY carefully.. "this toner, this serum, this moisturi... OH CRAP oops niacinamide over load!" Or 18 layers of 'hydration' 😂
Love your info! My routine has been a Retinol at night and vitamin c in the mornings. I just bought the Argireline & matrixyl. I know we shouldn't use it with the vitamin c, but I am wondering if it's okay to use a Retinol after applying the two from the ordinary... then a moisturizer?
Hi I noticed you didn't get an answer and I happen to be an esthetician so I hope you don't mind me butting in. The answer is yes you can use retin a after thus combo.
@kgutridg not at the same time but you can use one in the morning and one at night. The azelaic acid shouldn't be used at the time as any other acids. I advice using the argireline/matrixyl at night with your retin a and azelaic acid in the morning. Don't use vitamin c, glycolic acid etc with the azelaic acid
I use Argiriline, Matryxl and Copper peptides together and absolutely love all 3! I definitely target those more lined spots with the argiriline. Then hit my face with copper peptides and lastly matryxl as I find it the thickest of the 3. Then seal in with a moisturizer and suncreen last! I may try it the way you do it just for fun 😊
@@scooby6742 have you tried Hada Labo H/A Hydrating “lotion”? They call it a lotion, but it is consistency of water. The “Milk” is nice too. It’s a bit thicker, but still light weight.
I love this combo! I naturally have pronounced laugh lines ever since I was a teenager. I started using this combo last year just to try it out and it works! Really works! People always mistake me as a someone in her 20s still. Definitely a keeper! I love that this video covered every questions we have about this magical skin combo. ❤
I just ordered those 2 products from The Ordinary and also purchased their Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA so--- I guess I was on the right track. I am glad however, that you mentioned using the Argireline first by dabbing on targeted area and then follow with the combo. That was new information for me. I need all the help I can get!!! (---:> Nice presentation.....I really had to listen carefully - you talk VERY fast. But well done!
I just turned 50 in April and am obsessed with The Ordinary products. I just received my "Argireline" in the mail today (it was late) but watching to mix it with my Matrixyl. New subscriber here!
It's like you're reading my mind! I bought both products after having seen your other video, and I came back on youtube and typed in how to apply the ordinary argireline because I felt I didn't quite have it down... and you're right on schedule! Thank you so much
Helpful but you gotta talk slower! I have the same problem but people might just stop watching because it’s too hard to follow everything:). Thanks for the video!
the argereline, matrixyl is a hardcore cocktail. I learned I had forhead lines when I stopped using it. looking at my friends are all getting older but this stuff is like youth crack . it IS runnier than water! love it. it is not bending time backwards like Botox but in a preventative way, my god I'm 34 with nary a wrinkle
Thank you so much for explaining all of that! You are one of the few people I watch and don't go away confused, because of my lack of knowledge in the first place..😊
Love this product by the Ordinary. I started using Principal Secret Skincare 30 years ago and Argireline was the magic ingredient. That skincare helped me age without many wrinkles but it gets no press in the current RU-vid skincare world. It is still sold all the time. Thank you for a great video.
Oh Rob, this was a wonderful video! Thank you for reminding us how to apply for maximum benefits. So often it is 'slap and dash' and out the door. Sending you plenty of love ~ Paula
Haha I must admit Paula I am totally guilty of the slap and dash approach sometimes lol.. hope your having the most wonderful week and sending you so so much love xxxxx
I actually mix my argireline with the buffet. I was already using the buffet when I came across this product & once I saw how watery it was I felt more comfortable mixing them. Seems to work well 😅
I've been using Argireline for past couple of months along with using Body Current eye mask and wow my 11s haven't come back..and must admit I've stopped getting Botox..well I got it once and didn't really see that much of a difference, so decided to invest in Body current face devices and using my Ordinary products...Very happy ...Ps I love Niacinamide also..
I'm glad you done this video today as I was about to order hyaluronic acid from The ordinary. Makes perfect sense how to apply. Now I'm going to watch the original video. Thanks for your videos. You always try to keep prices down and if not there's a good reason. I really trust your opinions and you explain everything well. Thank you!
Hi hun, I have filmed this video in two parts recently which you can find on my channel and there is a morning and an evening skincare routine.. love x
These videos are always so helpful!! Always a thumbs up!! 🥰 And the targeted area advice is even more useful now when we're all trying to make most of our products last longer.
How can I use this in a routine with niacinamide, azelaic acid, and tretinoin? I have still oily and acne prone skin but want anti aging anti wrinkling benefits from these two products.
Argireline has been a serious fine-line game changer for me, absolutely adorable serum on its own. Love Lactic Acid as well and the Rose hip oil to mention but a few products.
Just a tip: In case people try argireline out and get a very bad skin reaction you need to use cortisol creme to heal your skin again.. i dont have sensitive skin or allergies but this one got My eye area skin puffy, red, dry and wrinkly.. looked like that 10 days after still so got the cortisol creme that fixed it back to normal…
I actually have been using this for couple months now and didn’t tell anyone my mum and Aunty actually said my skin was looking really healthy and good then I told them what I had been using and put them onto your channel xx
Rob, I know I’m late to the party, but yes, I agree that using Ordinary’s Argereline extends the need for Botox. I only get the injections twice a year now bc of this product.
Hi Rob! I've been using the argireline for 5 years now and I still love it. Never tried to mix it and use it all over the face but I will. My only issue with the solution is the texture cause I always hoped they changed it for a less liquidy one. Have a great day ☺️
Yay I am so so glad its been working so well for you hun .. I used to feel the same about the texture but I have kinda got used to it now which is odd lol.. love you xx
Hi I couldn't imagine my skincare routine without theae 2 product included thank to your good self. I've been using both now for around 18 months and i don't have laughter lines and my marionette lines are fading fast. I have such faint 11s that its hard to say they are there. Im 53 so consider myself lucky to have found your video many moons ago just to help extend the mileage showing on my face. I always lock my skincare in with a good moisturiser, like putting a lid on something so it doesnt evaporate! Sorry to waffle on but these two little bottles are worth their weight in gold. Thanks again for all your help. With love xxx💖💖💖
I bought some vacuum pump bottles on Amazon. I fill one 1/2 and 1/2 with argeriline and matryxl. Much less messy to apply than those crappy droppers. I accidentally knocked my dropper bottle into the sink one morning and the little glass dropper tube smashed. No more worries of that with the vacuum pumps. I use the mix day and night. I’m sure it’s helping with my lines.
Hi Rob, I’ve used both …thanks to your recommendations and love them . I put a few drops of Arginine in a little china dish and dab my finger in that…it saves it running everywhere and using to much product….I rinse the dish out…and do this morning & evening. ❤️
Thanks so much for sharing hun.. I know a lot of people got great results, others said they didn't so I think it depends on the person.. thanks for sharing your experiences.. love xx
My favorite product! Especially this combo with Matryxil. My 11s are barely noticeable after 2 months, and they were deep! Love you and your channel so much!!!!
does it work on marrionette lines/nasolabial lines? i only have the right side visible probably cause i sleep on it so wonder if it would work on that.
Do you have botox done ? I follow your advice , but I’m tempted to try botox for frown lines between eyes . It’s daunting tho . Love watching your RU-vid channel , excellent advice ❤️
I use my eye cream after applying them both around my eye area. Is that true I should use vitamin c or retinol in that are after using those products !?
Hi, I have started using Argireline serum The Ordinary on specific area of eyes and forehead. Then I apply a few drops on the whole face. Then retinol! Seems like it’s working on fine lines but it has made my complexion dull and a bit darker. Now, before applying retinol I mix it with Matrixyl The ordinary and apply on face. Am I using it wrong?
@@MadAboutSkin Thanks for your reply. In fact issue is that my skin was getting brighter with retinol as I have already a clear skin complexion. However, I have got dullness after adding The Ordinary peptide serums in my skincare routine😒
I have never tried The Ordinary brand Argiriline, but I have used Skin Deva's quite a bit. I don't find it miraculous; then again, I'm about to turn 70 in 2 weeks, so it's a lot different than being your age. I do love it though and I use it pretty regularly, especially on my nasal labial folds, my marionette lines and what I jokingly call my forehead crevasse.
Hi, The buffet contains less Argireline but it does have 25% of different kinds of peptides total, so is this product, and the Matrixyl 10, necessarily better?
I've been using the Matryxl first, letting it sit for a wee while, then going in with the argireline afterwards. Should I be mixing instead of layering?!?!
Thanks for another really helpful video! I’ve used the Ordinary’s agireline before in a targeted way but never saw any results. I’m going to try it again with your tips and be more patient with it!
Is it a waste of money to use Argireline, Buffet+copper peptides 1% and matrixyl 10% +HA together morning and night? I use them in that order. This is what the workers at The Ordinary recommended. Thanks!!
I apply a drop or two (per eye)on my ring finger and apply on my crows feet and frown lines by gently patting it down. I allow it to absorb really well like 3-5 min before applying the remainder of my skin care routine and I think it works so well. I do it twice a day (morning and night) and I have noticed a big difference and it does prolong in between Botox.
@@MadAboutSkin Ah gotcha, thank you x :) It's just an ingredient in so many of the products I love and use (like different moisturisers, etc) so I end up using it indirectly quite a lot.
I am 34 yrs old and I use Vitamin C serum the Arguline and HA. I have very deep forehead wrinkles so what I'm getting from this video is I should just target the wrinkles with Arguline and wait to dry also I've noticed it has a tacky feel after rubbed in that's normal right? And in which order should I use my products?
Hello i recently restarted using TO argireline and matrixyl serum. I do have a question though i have used stratia c+c serum in my morning routine for yrs now. Wondering if im able to use the 3 products together in my morning routine? Thank you i appreciate your feedback.
Hey I have a question. I want to include an anti aging serum in my routine as I'm 29. I do not want to use retinol bc I go in the sun alot. Can you please help, I have oily skin and the ordinary buffet broke me out as you said it has castor oil. I want a product which can help prevent wrinkles and sagging
I love the Argireline ! ❤I believe this is the only anti-aging product I use because I’m scared of retinols 😅 But ai have dry skin, can I use this alongside with Marine Hyaluronics and Amino Acids + B5?
Hello Rob!! Was just sent these products as a gift, and the link to your channel. Is this for AM, AM + PM? Please advise. I am 60 with very dry skin. Your skin is breathtaking!! Thank you!!
Sold! I just ordered 2 bottles 😄 I want my botox last longer just a question in the morning should I apply before my vitamin C ? And also at nightime should apply before my curology ( tretinoin) ? Thanks!
I have desert skin, I am surprised there are not tumbleweeds blowing across my skin, lol. I have used The Ordinary's buffett&,then zi mix The Ordinary's Argeriline & Matrixyl w/ the buffett. I love all 3! I am 54 & I doget botox & ithas extended my botox visits. I concur w/ Hyram for the price point & amount you get, these products cannot be beat. The buffet has 5 of the most widely studied & proven + patented peptides available today. I have not been able to find a comparable product for this price point. GREAT PRODUCTS❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
that point about hyaluronic acid needing somewhere to draw moisture to hold onto is SO TRUE! i usually mist my face before applying any HA products and also make it a point to mist it one more time after applying everything non-oil based. this change has made all the difference
This combo is the single most effective skin care that I have ever tried. But! It's not necessary to use the Ordinary brand. I found a cheaper brand that contains both peptides. My "eleven" lines are almost non existent after using these peptides for 1 year. I find it more difficult to make certain expressions due to the neuro-modulator but that's okay with me because I don't want to look angry in my old age
What about facial microneedling with this? (Argireline with cosmetic microneedling (shorter needle depth) or medical microneedling (deep needly depth) with argireline?) - do you any thoughts/stories/knowledge/recommendations? 😉 (lol)
Is using the inkey list hyaluronic acid (it contains matryxal 3000) instead of the ordinary matryxal ok? I already have the inkey list one is why I ask
I just happened across this video, I've never seen your channel before and whenever you said "let's just cut that waffle" I subscribed immediately. Love it.
hi hun, I am so glad your going to be giving it a try and I would put your retinol on top in the evening.. let me know how you get on with it.. love xx
I use Agireline and Matrixyl for my routine for more than 2 months, and I use buffet about 1.5 months before. I don't have any notifiable result. Maybe peptide doesn't help me. I also heard peptide only stay on the surface of the skin and cannot be absorbed.
im much older 53 , i started this routine 6 months ago. some friends this summer asked if i had work done. i was like... what?no.! lol i shared my secret.
Hi! your channel came up in my recommended videos, so this is my first time watching. I just have to tell you, that your skin is gorgeous! Of course, I am now subscribed, LOL! 🥰
I haven’t used these products before. At what stage of your skincare routine do you use them? Sounds like after cleansing. Morning or night? Thank you so much
