Lots of modifications from the basic model. Crankshaft ware pump, custom machines whistle adapter under the relief valve, and completely modified smokebox arrangement.
Hello NC Steamer I purchased on of these some months ago and it came fitted with Axle driven Water Pump and Belly Tank. I spent some many weeks reworking it all as it was a very poor fitment considering the price for the model. Eventually got it going,. It now works quite well, but still have to fit a backhead Clack valve and Whistle valve. I would be very interested in what modifications you did to the smokebox... Cheers Ross
I plated over the opening in the bottom of the smokebox, except for a 3/8” hole directly under the chimney center. I removed the factory blast pipe and added a tee with a short nipple shooting straight up and a long nipple running straight down through the 3/8” hole. It has been a cantankerous machine, but slowly getting it to run better.
