Just installed the T6's on my integra.They are a huge step up from blown stock struts. They ride better than any of the cheap coilovers I have experienced.

@@jcutztv so far they ride good. I have the dampening at 14 clicks of 24. The car doesn't bottom out or ride rough on the horrible roads here. I have them bottom out up front and a inch up in the rear to level it. It's around 5 inches from ground to subframe.

Your description about the inconveniences of the hardware is the same reason why I eventually gave up on usig one of their Turbo's. The flange onf the back of the turbine housing was thicker than oem which meant you couldn't get a socket on to the up pipe bolt and they used a different thread on the oil port so I couldn't use any oem banjo bolt and they ofcourse didn't include a banjo bolt and wouldn't supply one either.

The reason they are different spring rate is for the spring pressure being put on them which means they need to be just a bit stiffer for the front that is my guess

I'm retired 70 and still working on my honda prelude. Starts fine , but shuts down when put into gear. Smoke coming out of air filter. No bueno. If I fix will get new shocks

Hey I just installed these yesterday and I have no problem. They ride amazing. But I think I know what your issue was. From the factory they don't tighten the pillow ball nut they leave it loose and tighten the spring perch up so you can't tell if you don't check. You have to lower the spring purse so there's no preload at all in the top hat will fall down to where it should be and you will see exposed threads underneath the pillow ball nut in between the nut and the pillow ball sorry and you should tighten that nut down all the way and then set your spring preload if I can upload pictures I'll upload a couple to show you.

Exactly. Those who fail to do this always complain about noise from these affordable twin-tube coilovers but they do work well for the money. They Just won't last as long as say Godspeed mono tube SS or RS coilovers but monotube is much stiffer on street

You’re welcome! My advice is to double check everything before installing. Grease the pillow ball joints, manually set the pre-load, and make sure everything it tightened

@@kaikai312 I’ve yet to install them as they just came in recently but from what I can tell they are pretty nice for the money. Now the ones you are talking about are the 1st gen shocks from them, usually in the anodized bright colors. Those are a little cheaper than these 2nd gen ones and they are pretty hit or miss. The 1st gens are the ones that you can get a bad batch of rear shocks that were too long. I read in places that if you do get some, just contact MaxSpeedingRods and they will ship you the correct rears. Kind of a hassle but at least they take care of it.

@@kaikai312 update for you. Finally got them installed. They are certainly better made than the cheaper gen 1 anodized ones. As for the ride quality, if you’re looking for comfort, these ain’t it. Even on the softest damping, they’re still pretty stiff. So if you daily your car, I wouldn’t recommend it as city streets with large bumps or potholes are going to be hell on you and your car. Overall I’d give them a 4 out of 5

Higher spring rate is needed on the front struts because of the added engine weight together with the body weight.

Pleasure bro, that's just a basic explanation. It also has to do with spring rebound based on the weight, etc. I'm sure you could Google a more definitive explanation.

Maybe on the civic or front wheel drive Caras front is higher then rear. On ally bmw through put different brands , it's either higher in the rear and lower up front. Usually the cheaper ones is the same up and front around 8 k.

Anyone saying that they're trash has no idea what they're talking about. 90% of the time it's the install. You have to go over every single nut in bolt because you never know what the factory has done or hasn't done. But I hope this helps you figure out your issues so you can put these back on your car.

Thanks bro! I can't recommend any brands because maxpeedingrods is the only coilovers I've ever tried myself, brand new. However, if you wanna give them a shot, there are 4 variations: SNA, SLC, SP1, SP2. the SP1 is the highest performance coilover available for your car right now and its the one featured in this video. Installed mine last week car was same way loud and clunking whent back added 5mm of preload and snug down top nut and fixed it today

I got them coilovers and that noise is the top bolt where the adjustable dampening us at. For some reason maxpeeding rods never really tighten that bolt

Same thing I found as well I wish I did a video on them for RU-vid but I don't have a channel like yours but once you rectify that that is probably your problem You should make an updated video because you're making them look bad when they're really not bad coilovers they actually ride extremely well You can make them soft and cushy if you want or very hard and aggressive I really like them hopefully they last though that's the question

No, I reused the new springs. I manually set the preload by hand tightening them and adding another 6mm of tension

I want to love them but I'm not entirely sold on them just yet. Before installing these coilovers, I did replace the Ball Joints... That may be the reason why they're so noisey. I'm planning on making a video of me reinstalling my old coilovers to see if they're just as noisey, that way I'll know for sure if it's the ball joints or the new coilovers

The knocking is almost definitely the top nut not being fully tightened or another nut/bolt not fully tight. Something is knocking metal to metal.

I hate to say it but yes, it’s very loud. I swapped back my old maxpeedingrods and they’re significantly quieter. The clunks are pretty much non existent on the old ones so maybe I just got a bad set of the new coilovers ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

These coilovers tend to come from the factory a little loose but if you’re willing to double check everything: greasing the pillow ball joints, preload, and tightening down the bolts then these will def treat you right. In this video, I didn’t tighten down the top hat nut good enough and that caused the loud clunking noise. Once I tightened it, it rode quietly

The rears only go in one way, you can’t flip the spring perch and spring. The noise was due to loose top hat nuts on the front coilovers. Once I tightened them, they rode very nicely

Sound like a old jeep or a truck with the bumps hell know I have 70 dollars eBay coil over in my CRX and no a sound when I hit any bumps I love them I think the springs are to stiff for a light car in my opinion is nice to enjoy the ride not to jump around like a Mexican beens really hell no I stay with my eBay cheap coil over over the t6 crap

yeah bro, it's kind of annoying because the gen 1 coilovers weren't noisey at all, not to where it bothered me BUT I did just install Ktuned Ball Joints right before installing these coilovers. I'm planning on swapping back the gen 1 coilovers to see if they're just as noisey, that way I can see if it's the new ball joints OR the new coilovers

No 8th gen meaning the 8th generation of civic made from 06-12. Has nothing to do with where in the world it is. Just that it was made from 06-12 making it the 8th iteration of the civic chassis.

@@Rawrkee don't buy coils if you don't have money. Eibach springs + bilstein b8. Bilstein b14 or kw v1 if you want "cheap" coils. They are high quality and will last the life of the car. As they say in my country, the one who buys cheap spends 2 times.
