As it turned out, that was not the cause of my leak. While I did get the gaskets changed and everything put back together and it doesnt leak. I had a small crack in my coolant reservoir where my hose that leads to egr. It only leaked while running and you couldnt see a trail at all on the fan shroud. Replaced it, then had to replace my radiator a week later! So far so good though.
@@tommiecunningham6394 my truck os back in the shop because of more gasket leaks. If this doesn't fix it I am just going to sell it and be done with trucking! Did you use the kit they sell with 3 new rubber fit seals and 2 gaskets and plate under lower housing and single gasket on upper? Thats what they are doing to mine so I will update you asap.
@@tommiecunningham6394 I was told by the shop that the air compressor can pump air into the coolant system when it goes bad somehow. Also they said a blown head gasket can cause the leaks also. I will keep you updated on my repair when I get it out of the shop hopefully soon, its been there 4 days already.
