Please watch Pearl before watching Maxxxine even if it didn’t win the poll. It’s a great film and I think seeing both of the previous installments will add to the experience. This could end up being one of the best trilogies in horror.
I love how the director tells her to "squash" whatever is in her way of her success and it's a clever nod to Maxine running over Pearl's head and crushing it
It's a must to check out Pearl. Both X & Pearl were filmed back to back during covid in New Zealand. Ti West & Mia Goth are a helluva creative duo. But yeah this is the movie I been waiting on for the last 2 yrs. Seems like a freakin eternity. Maxxxine looks awesome. Super stoked to finally see this flick. But yes y'all get to watching Pearl before Maxxxine. It just makes sense after you'll see em all three.
I think the guy with the gun that’s coming after her was hired by her father. At the end of X she said her dad was the televangelist on tv the old lady had been watching
Tbf none of us know how much of Pearl will be referenced in MaXXXine considering none of us have seen it yet. 😂 However, it is a part of the trilogy and there were moments in the trailer that actually calls back to both X and Pearl. So I'd definitely check it out before seeing MaXXXine 😁

Praying I'm not the only one in the theater when I see it, lol. Went to see Pearl at an early Thursday screening around its release and had the entire theater room to myself. I sorta preferred it (mainly due to the scarecrow scene...) but everything got creepy AF when I waited through the credits to see the teaser for MaXXXine at the very end. I was literally walking up and down the stairs thinking, "Should I stay, should I go?!" over and over, praying no employee would casually walk in and scare the crap outta me. Just a funny story for me to tell 😂
I wish I COULD be the only person in the theater. Modern audiences have been ruining film-going experiences for over a decade now, and are why I never go to theaters anymore. I hate having to wait for the home release to see this, but I want to actually enjoy watching it.
I’ve watched both Pearl and X, and all I can say is you can pretty much still watch and enjoy any of the movies within the trilogy without any knowledge of any of the other movies as each of them are pretty much self contained stories.
I'll be definitely seeing this it's set in the 1980s it's got Mia Goth in it and the great Kevin Bacon as well, you should check out Infinity Pool with her as well I've just watched that.
(Don't read if you dont want potential spoilers) I think the nightstalker had a relation to pearl and wants revenge because its possible pearl tried to have another kid in those 60 yrs
Adding to the choir, make PEARL the NEXT film you guys watch and react to. Pearl is better than X and MaXXXine has a tall task to live up to it as well! Trust you will not be disappointed.

Bro how have you not seen the X trilogy yet? I would say watch Pearl first & then X since that’s the order it goes in unlike the release dates of both.
you have to watch pearl!! I feel like y’all have to real understand the connection between the two and how well pearl was jealous of her in the first movie. Pearl wanted to be maxine really she wanted her looks and her lifestyle and everything , because pearl well never got to be a star
Sounds like you got a poll problem. Polls are fine for some things but you should definitely watch things as they’re released. Save the polls for old shit. I say fuck the stupid polls and watch Pearl before this comes out.
Literally 100% agree! “X” was good and was a great start to the trilogy. But, “Pearl” was exceptional! Everything from the story to the setting to Mia Goth’s unmatched performance as Pearl! Never have I ever questioned the sanity of an actor/actress until I had witnessed Mia in the movie Pearl as Pearl. I’ve watched thousands of horror and thriller movies. No villain or actor in the role, competes. Period. There’s just nothing like the disturbingly unnerving performance that Mia Goth displayed. I can go on and on and on about it. There’s no point in watching this if you’re not going to watch the best of the films up to this point. And missing out on a huge, important chunk to the story.
Mia Goth has such a strange look to her. I cant take my eyes off her when I see her in film. I wouldnt say conventionally beautiful though and its very confusing.
