A late push of bunker into western Long Island Sound has power-shifted the bass bite into overdrive as reports of 30- to 50-pound stripers stream in from happy anglers throwing everything from topwaters to flutter spoons. At the same time, a new body of heavyweight bass has also entered Narragansett Bay. Sea bass action has been best in Buzzards Bay and Vineyard Sound, but some late-breaking news (not detailed in the video) has shown a marked increase in sea biscuit action along Rhode Island's south shore over the past few days.
