Can I just say how happy I am that physical books have made a comeback? I like to call myself a literary purist; that is, I LOVE physical books (the feel, the smell...). I can't stand to listen to audiobooks and/or read on my ipad or kindle. I need to feel the physical book and love to admire the book covers and binding. And it's so fun spending the afternoon at a bookstore and exploring new reads. I'm so glad that brick and mortar bookstores are making a comeback and it's because of people like you who advertise new books AND vlog about your joy of reading. So thank you, Ellen! Greetings from California!!!
This comment makes me so happy - I agree I agree, i do like my kindle but there is absolutely nothing like the physical pages of a book!! And hi from England 🥰❤️❤️
Just found your channel today through this video and I'm instantly subscribing and tuning into booktube Wednesdays! This was so comforting and cosy. Just talking about books and I loved it so much. I'm here for all the romance and fantasy reading to come ✨️
I would describe myself as someone who doesn’t read. I don’t have the attention span for it. But I started Reckless yesterday and I’m almost finished. I wanted to see what the fuss was about these ‘spicy romances’ and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t all twee, she’s an accomplished complex female character and the sexy bits are not awkwardly written as I thought they might be! It’s sparked my interest for books overall because I previously couldn’t see myself finishing a book in a year let alone a weekend!
Hi Ellen, Your book tube Wednesday vlog are lovely and full of inspiration for reading books this summer!! 👍 So thankyou for sharing that and enjoy your holiday to Italy 🥂⛱️
Oh my goodness I’m so excited officially book Wednesday yay!! I so love your channel Sunday my total relax with Ellen vlog day & Wednesday’s with Ellen my mid way to the weekend book day! Yay - yes I’m a total mood reader can’t help it just the way I like to read too… 😉 Italy 🇮🇹 my most favorite place on earth Amalfi coast is perfection 💜😉 & btw’the pink color for your room is perfect!😘
Still a good reading month despite the slump! I’m gonna add the Elsie Silver books on my tbr list! I’ve just finished three books of Mariana Zapata books, which I would really recommend if you like slowburn books! I just loved, loved the push and pull kind of tension haha 💓🥹
I am so excited to hear about your plans for "all things book Wednesdays"! I really enjoy all your vlogs but definitely enjoy your book ones! Some great ideas for future reads thank you. I am currently on book two of caraval and then diving into the next series OUABH that you have already read once I have completed book 3. Then I can dive into some romance ones as I really liked your recommendation of chestnut springs and the Emily Henry books! I would also like to read the Twisted series, I have heard good things from others. Thank you and happy reading!
Thank you so much! I’m so pleased you’re enjoying the book vlogs 🥰❤️ and yes I’ve seen so much about the twisted series, need to find a time to try it out! ❤️
Ellen you said you already have your spooky season books sorted but you need to read Dracul by Dacre Stoker (Bram Stoker’s great great nephew), it’s my favourite Halloween time read and I know you’ll love it too. It tells the story of Bram’s childhood and the reason he wrote Dracula. I passed it on to my daughter after reading it and it’s one of her faves now too x
Hi really enjoy your content. Generally, I love reading books, but stopped because life has gotten in the way. This channel has reignited my reading! I will definitely get some of your book recommendations.
Hi Ellen I love your channel, I’m so happy you are doing a lot more book reviews 💕 I am in the middle of The Chestnut Spring series. I can’t put my Kindle down 😊 I think you will love Malibu Rising you just have to get through the first few chapters. Thank you 💕
I hear so many people loving the Chestnut Springs series, but the only Elsie Silver book I’d read was Off To The Races and I didn’t love it, but after hearing you compare the 2 I’m debating whether to give Chestnut Springs a go
Hi Ellen, love your content. Thank you for acknowledging your neighbours. I really struggle to relax and read when I can hear my neighbours. Any tips? or is it tolerable for you generally? Thank you x
I lived in India for 8 years…..the land of buying books with no taxes. They’re so cheap. Now I’ve moved to Singapore (and bought my 12 boxes of books with me😂), and books are so expensive. I’m back to expense again😂 But I agree. I love buying a good book, and yes you influenced me…..I bought myself my first Elsie Silver book. Can’t wait to start.
When I was at school/teens many years ago 😊 we used to all read Anne McCaffery, The Dragon Riders of Pern books and thought they were fantastic. Can anyone remember those?
Hi Ellen🌸 I absolutely love your videos especially coming from a girl that terribly misses the UK - anyway why don’t you paint the inside pink just as your walls and then the outer rims white? I don’t know if this makes sense, I hope it does😅 Lots of love 🫶🏼
I have a goodreads account and would love to add you as a friend! I've been on there since 2011 and still use it to this day to keep track of all the books I've read and want to read 📚 ❤🥰🌺🌷
