Me too! Everyone says so, but it’s a different thing to experience it for yourself. I love the variety of people too, all different ages and backgrounds and tastes, but as long as you like books, you’re in! 😊 Or even thinking about maybe reading some day 😂 Yes Only this beautiful moment was great, and I’ve heard his other books are even better. It was light enough but still had depth, if that makes sense. Sometimes that’s just what you need! 💜

I love that you included the books you didn’t read either! It gives a lot of transparency to the viewer and made me feel normal for not finishing my TBR 😅 I loved this and your thoughts were so nice to hear about with each read! Thank you ☺️🙏🏼

Thank you so much! 🥰 It’s absolutely normal to not read all the books you plan to, I mean don’t we all have very high ambitions and only 24 hours in the day? 😊 I read for pleasure, not pressure! Omg I should put that on a T-shirt 😂 💜

I also gave "Stolen" 4.0 stars. It's a good story and I would definitely consider reading the other 2 books in the series. I have NOT heard many good things about "Sure, I'll Join Your Cult" - sounds like the best thing about that one is the title! "The Bandit Queens" sounds intriguing.

Yes, me too. I'm hoping the next two books sort of make the story complete, rather than just add on... if that makes sense. I felt like there was something lacking, but can't quite put my finger on it, so I'm hoping it will work well as a series. Haha you're probably right! 😂 What a missed opportunity! It could have been fantastic. Yes, Bandit Queens was great! It's not the book's fault that people do messed up things, and the story is good and well told. So my mixed feelings are more about the world and bad people, rather than the book itself. Hard to differentiate sometimes 😅

Yes me too! I’ll try to find better options going forward! But I did participate in ways that I felt were a lot more valuable, like spending time outside, listening to what my mind and body were telling me I needed, respecting my boundaries, and practicing kindness to myself. And having as much fun as possible! And I’m taking that with me going forward as well. Thank you for hosting! 😊

First of all, thank you so much for the shout out!! 🥹 And secondly, I'm so happy to be a part of your book club group because you definitely help me expand my horizon outside of just my typical romance books 😂 I still think you had an extremely solid month -- reading is supposed to be fun and engaging and you're hitting the ball out of the park 🤩 I totally agree with you about audiobooks though. Either they're super engaging and the narrator MAKES the book engaging or it's so dry.... I hear that audiobooks with additional sounds for ambience is usually considered higher tier but I can't get around to enjoying those 😂eg. leafs rustling? no I rather imagine that myself, thanks. Please do not make those noises in my ears 😂😂

Oh that makes me happy to hear! 😊 Nothing wrong with romance books though! But a bit of variety is a good kind of spice as well 😂 Yes I’m happy with my month! I just feel a bit behind and it would be more enjoyable if I didn’t! But I’ll get the hang of it at some point 😊 Thanks for being so sweet. Omg this audiobook wasn’t high tier production at all! I have never listened to the rustling leaves kind of audiobook, that sounds like radio theater kind of. If it’s very subtle I might like that. But this was completely obnoxious! 😂 It felt like a bad standup set for kids that never got to the point. I didn’t get very far, so maybe it got better, but it turned me off of it so hard. I’m glad I didn’t waste more time on it though 😊

@@ellenmadebookclub Yess definitely nothing wrong with it -- but that means my usual feeds don't give me recommendations outside of that genre 😂 I also get bored reaaally easily outside of what I'm used to; so getting good recommendations is KEY! AHHH. That sounds terrible 😩 I mean, I can understand -- with an audiobook that I listened to a while back was terrible. Took me months to be completed. But I think DNFing is always okay 👌Easier said than done on my end though... I try my best NOT to DNF even if I'm not enjoying it. I do tab it away... for "future" reading. That's how I managed to get myself around not feeling bad about DNFing 😂

@@itsmimiduong Haha I love that you get bored easily outside of the comfort zone but also so stubborn you have a hard time dnfing 😂 But yes, I would imagine that combo requires even better recommendations! I wouldn’t want to recommend anything you didn’t enjoy but felt obligated to power through! 😂 I think it’s absolutely fine to quit, I try my best to give the book a chance, and sometimes I want to KNOW if the whole book is bad or just the start, but if it’s a book I don’t really care about, it’s not worth it. Life is too short to waste on a book you’re not enjoying! 😊

I know people tag people all the time, but I never thought about that when I started the channel, that anyone else in the world would be saying my name in their videos! It’s super weird to me but so fun and I’m very grateful every time 😊 Haha yeah, it was setup kind of like a “for dummies” book or something and the different sounds had different meaning and I’m like am I supposed to remember what these noises are code for?? 😂 It was so weird, and so loud, and not my kind of humor at all! Very disappointing! 😂 Yes, I would love to hear your thoughts on that! It’s not for everyone, but I really liked it 😊 Thanks (again!!) for being here! ⭐️

I started The Bandit Queens but didn't get very far. It sounded like it would be good but I was definitely wondering about how heavy it would be. I think I wasn't in a good head space for it. But it was a very soft DNF, as I definitely want to return to it at some point.

Yes, it was good! And heavy at parts. You can come back to it whenever, or not, read what makes you happy 😊 It warms my heart that you had the intention of participating, no report needed 😊💜

Oh I this I want to check out Only this Beautiful Moment. It sounds good. Do you think if you read the physical book, Sure I'll Join Your Cult" instead of an audio book, it would be better or just all around not a good book?

Yes Only this beautiful moment was good! I only got about 12% in to Sure I’ll join your cult, so I can’t speak for the whole thing, but the part I did listen to, I didn’t think that there really was any content at all. It was so much of setting up the sound effects and what they were code for, it never got into anything psychological or much of her story. So I can’t really say, but nothing made me want to keep listening. So I would probably look for other alternatives instead 😊 But you are of course welcome to try the book and report back, in case I’m missing something! 😂
