It was more the fact that he was working for the Feds, the ultimate no no in the criminal world. Not to mention that he had crooked cops and white supremacists kill Creeper. Taza didn’t do anything like that.
I wouldn't say that. Bishop was listening to EZ's advice in one of the early seasons, and happily became his sponsor. In fact early in the show (I think season 2) he was agreeing with EZ over the rest of the club, saying that EZ was thinking long term while everyone else was short sighted. So I don't think Bishop had resentment toward EZ all the time. Now when Alvarez made EZ VP, I think from then on Bishop wasn't feeling him as much. I never liked Bishop tbh, his character was uninteresting... the writing of the show became so bad later on though, those corny dialogues
Nah Ever since E.Z punched Bishop he’s always had a grudge against him he never had his back fully he was just waiting for the moment or dirty laundry such as creepers fed gf…
But Taza, who killed a brother to hide he was gay, then hid the body of a Son on Mayan property, the acts that led to both wars in seasons 3 to 5 gets to just walk?
Bishop never forgot EZ punching him out of the chair lol bishop had to get him back. Entire season was shit but glad bishop got ez, instead of Shakespeare should have told him to educate himself
One of the many holes in this seasons plot was what did creeper tell the club as to why he was going to prison? If he had said that the girl he was seeing was undercover then they wouldn't have allowed her at his funeral or Bishop wouldn't have listened to her when she paid him a visit. So in a way creeper was covering for her.
yup cuz he knew if he told the whole truth his club wouldnt believe he didnt know she was a fed and he wouldve been dead within 24 hours of being in prison.
It would’ve been in creeper bringing a fed around. Besides, she found out about EZ being the rat. Creeper should’ve kept quiet and told hank in silence
It's crazy that EZ almost died for nothing. Everything he did for the club was all taken away in the end. Too bad he didn't live long enough to see it happen and to warn his pregnant GF to get away in time. If EZ hadn't died from his own club members, then he surely would've died from the Feds' hail of gunfire.
The analogy to Julius Caesar’s death was a cherry on top. All of his members stabbing him after he’s brought the empire back to its glory after declaring himself king. I hope they make another kind of spinoff
I’m thinking the feds let either Gilly, Guero, or bottles alive or maybe just Guero and Bottles. Those are the only guys I can see where they can continue their stories. And brining it back to Julius Caesar, that was brilliant, but also the entire thing was like those old tales of the right hand of the king seizing an opportunity for the throne killing the king and his blood line; Sophia and their unborn child being the bloodline of course. That was Bishop’s call to spite EZ even after death. He told bottles to kill Sophia god knows.
He didn't really bring the empire back. They were extremely fucked despite the big win of eliminating San Bernandinho. He knew Potter and the feds were after the club, they lost the pipeline which would bring a lot of heat onto them (again) and probably get them killed by the mercenaries. It was nice for a moment but they were heading for a big collapse.
So hard to see that Gilly was the only one who was actually hurt knowing he had to see EZ go out, but looked away because he still loved him like a brother. That shit hit.
Hank and Creeper were very close to each other. Bishop had animosity towards EZ when he became president. Bishop even more so because he couldn't do what EZ achieved.
Nestor didn't wanna kill him especially after all he did for Nestor. And you can tell he looked sad asf having to kill his own pres. Nestor was just doing his job and I think he loved ez and actually respected him
Nestor kinda have this arc which is similar to Negan from the Walking Dead. But it’s nice that he as fresh member of the Mayans MC (even tho he probably ended dead 5 min later) had respected EZ so much to end his suffering
EZ and Jax Teller both die with a smile on their face. They both in a way went out feeling like they accomplished what they needed to. I can't say the same for the rest of the club. Especially Bishop he's just perpetually unhappy and that smile really hurt him.
this is a much more respectable way to go out than how jax did, samcro would've never had the balls to do this themselves. they also would've knelt and dealt their way out of ATF's crosshairs, instead of going out like g's the way SP did.
@@jaydonthomas427 The major difference is that ez was a rat and was killed like a rat. Jax had to meet Mr mayhem because he murdered a club member. If Jax was a rat I’m sure they’d murder him brutally as well
I absolutely love how Bishops last line is “let’s get back to business” Then the feds come in and smoke all of them. I knew bishop was a clown waiting for EZ to screw up so he can have the head of the table and smoke his precious cigarettes. I honestly forgot his name but the Mayan who got stabbed tryna get the bartender outta town. That was sad for me..dude really wasn’t do any harm to her and she followed her gut instinct
Too bad you don’t know for sure if they did die. Bishop could have been one to escape for a we know. Say what you want, but dude is a bad motherfucker himself
His name was downer. They never found out what happend to him which is sad. Also Bishop was a hypocrite. He knew how Taza killed Rizz and he didn’t care. He knew how Ez killed creeper and suddenly the world is on fire. Bishop only killed Ez to get his president patch back. Glad bishop is dead.
Well we don’t know for sure who died in there but there might be a few. Knowing that Santo Padre being EZ demise felt so wrong even tho it kinda went full circle. The morale this show was, that we were conclusion for Santo Padre but in the end every single one of them is a crooked gangster with no morale. What comes around goes around.
They also killed EZs girl who was pregnant with his kid. Goes to show you that even though we liked a lot of these characters they are still murderers and criminals at the end of the day.
I thought that too,but remember she was gonna talk to him that night to tell him.And the prospect was too stupid to pick up that she was pregnant when he made the joke about the dog.
God I feel for Angel. Through the show his character development has been beautiful. When he was used to the dirty work, EZ was still innocent. When Angel changed knowing he was having a kid, then Adelita’s return, EZ went down a dark path. It’s like they completely switched. Angel watched his brother morally deteriorate and become clouded with greed and power. Angel and their father had a broken relationship, EZ and pops were so close. Then it was Angel and pops, EZ and pops no longer. Now he’s lost his father, he lost his wife and the mother of his son, he had to assist in killing his baby brother and watch his baby brother be killed while holding him in his arms, and he lost his club. But throughout it all, he never lost his son and he got him away from all of the mess. Angel wanted to be a better person, he wanted a better life but there were too many demons around him affecting that. Angel reminds me of Arthur Shelby to a degree; he lost his brother, his aunt, his wife and child, nearly lost Thomas, he was haunted by trauma from the war and his mistakes. He wanted to be a better person, he had a loving heart, while he wasn’t the smartest, he definitely had the most heart. Arthur’s younger brother was the smart one who led with brains while Arthur led with brawns, Angel’s younger brother was the smart one who led with brains while Angel led with brawns. Both older brothers can be perceived as fuck ups at times, but no one can deny the pain and struggle they’ve gone through coupled with loss and various attempts to change and become a better person. Man.
I just realized why EZ was smiling and laughing guys he saw an opportunity for Angel to leave a dead gang cuz there’s no pipeline and no protection. He still had to figure out how to get that running again. He knew this would catch up to him and he’s really smart to know the situation and how it presents itself. Look how quickly he agree with the club making angel stab him knowing his brother had to leave and knew this was the only way out knowing the club was doomed.
It’s because he knew Potter was coming for him. Meaning he was going to bring down The Mayans. Plus I wouldn’t let maybe my worst enemy get the satisfaction of seeing me hurt when I’m dying.
@@Darkest_Soul_187one or another way, they are dealt with either way. If the ATF weren’t coming for them. The army dudes from the pipeline would of killed them.
It would have even better if EZ's was all for naught and Angel ended up dead. Thank god EZ is dead because he deserves it. I feel bad for Bishop though
@@My_Neighbour That would probably make for much better writing (not that it'd be difficult this season lol). But seeing as everything was so shit this season I'm happy that it at least delivered some... emotional relief by getting Angel out and safe (it should last only a moment, before the feds find him, but still).
@@My_Neighbour bishop could never be half of the man EZ WAS. And I hate EZs character he did terrible shit. But he got shit done and took the Mayans to new heights that bishop dreamed of doing so. Bishop was not a leader they feared bishop but they respected EZ
When you think about it, EZ got the last laugh. When the ATF took out Santo Padre, all of EZs secrets got buried as well. No one will know the truths of the events that transpired. Angel certainly isnt going to trash his brother. EZ will go down a legend in the Mayan world.
No he will not they got arrested they didn’t die . All they have to do is send word out about ez. Do y’all know what sending a kite is. The only person left unscathed is Angel. He doesn’t have to trash talk his brother the rest of the MC gonna do it from inside jail.
I used to like Bishop's character but in finale episode and since EZ became Pres.he really showed how much of Little Bitch and Hypercrit he was, because he wanted the Throne back( he couldn't wait for this opportunity 💯
@@klarenceshaw1361you must’ve forgot that Bishop killed a VP and knew his own VP killed a member from the same table and let him leave and go nomad like a bitch.
Bishop questions asked going hard on EZ while letting Taza slide and keeping that Hush Hush AND presumably giving the order to off Sofia doesn’t sit right with me.
Bishop been had a stick up his ass since Alvarez returned then EZ becoming president dude relished this moment. But you are right my friend by those things not sitting right, Fake ass mfs like bitchop tend to have that effect on ppl.
Because bishop was jealous and envyed EZ because Ez did everything bishop couldn't do ez even tried to put bishop on top and he still failed he failed at leading club and outside life. U see how quick he took the patch and chair back. Bishop should have been on the floor too bishop was a snake all along. With ez the Mayans where done would have been wiped out under bishop and glad ATF took them out cause with bishop back at the chair Mayans where done for
Yeah killing Sofia was definitely Bishop’s call. It wasn’t just the Julius Caesar death that comes into play here, but also those old stories of the right hand of the king seizing an opportunity for the throne and killing his bloodline; Sofia and their kid as the bloodline of course. I haven’t seen anyone even talk about how Bishop told the club where he got that information from because if he told the others a fed told him that EZ worked for the feds? 😂 like cmon the club would’ve never trusted him and would’ve killed him suspecting him of being a rat.
EZ should’ve left in the beginning while he had a chance too after his criminal record was erased. Getting deeper into the club is what caused his downfall and all the loose ends roaming around with his secrets
What i find dumb is them killing EZ yeah he was a rat but he made a deal that nothing could touch the MC only the cartel and on top of that i liked creeper but he dated a fed and even if he didn't know she was one he still told the clubs business to a random person and Taza killed a brother to start a war and got to live then lets not forget Gilly was going against the club when him, Coco and Angel were working with Adelita such a horrible ending 💔
Taza was never in bed with the Feds which is a big no no in the criminal world. Taza also never had crooked cops and white supremacists kill their brother.
Ezekiel the teen died when his mom was killed. Ezekiel the man died after Gaby. EZ the Mayan, was ready to die. Yet like Jax, nearly everything he sacrificed for came to nothing. Tragic.
Jax didn't die for nothing. He got his boys the *_fuck_* outta there before it was too late. That was a worthy goal and he succeeded with it. So his death wasn't in vain.
Not necessarily true. Jax got his kids out of that life. EZ got his brother and nephew out of it while putting the Mayans on top(sort of). They both accomplished their big picture goals at the end of the day, or at least died believing they did lol
Doesn’t make sense how they use the “Ez is a rat” introduced that narrative seasons ago yet EZ did absolutely anything but rat, they didn’t do anything whatsoever with that narrative at all, he didn’t rat on his club one bit, but they used it to kill him by somehow finding out? How did they even find out
Cooperating with law enforcement in any way is ratting. Good luck telling your peers you were just playing the feds and gave them nothing. Not likely they will take your word for it. Plus the circumstances of the way he was in jail for murder and all of a sudden released is noticed by people in prison. Hence why he was exposed by the shot caller he was locked up in the same prison with who remembered him. People who don't know better don't realize how realistic this really is. Prison and the streets do not forgive and forget and your stuff follows you everywhere.
No he isn't! The Vice Presidente did what he was supposed to do! EZ was a RAT (strike one); EZ had some White Supremacists murder a fellow Mayan (i.e., Creeper) in prison (strike two) and EZ aligned the Mayans with Storm 88 and Iron War (i.e., White Supremacists and Pigs) STRIKE THREE!
@@Bassmaster-xd2pn he knew about it though and didn’t say shit but killed EZ for creeper let’s for Riz death set a whole chain of events that lead us here
@@Auditofthesouthwest - Yes, Taza murdered a brother......But Taza remained loyal to his Presidente, Taza wasn't a RAT, Taza didn't get White supremacists in prison to kill a brother and Taza didn't align the Mayans with White supremacists and Pigs. Taza's crime and EZ's crimes are totally different.
@@1sam-efeah but taza killing riz led to them going after the biker gang and than things went downhill after that gotta wonder what would have happened if taza didn’t do that
Ive never been more hurt or more attached to characters ever before. This episode truly hurt. Had me feeling hate for the characters i grew to love over seasons yet at the same realizing it would always come down to this initially no matter what they do
It was really one of the most shocking finales even tho everyone could see it coming. EZ‘s finale scene was perfectly executed (pun not intended). It was so crazy that all these friends stabbed EZ like it was nothing - maybe besides a few exceptions
@@Shaolinh808 yeah truly hard to see... the fact Miguel was also done the way he was and never even got to meet his brother was another hurtful thing to watch because maybe there was a way they could've all still lived happily in the end if the just decided to leave the lives they lead but it had to be that way I guess. Still sad to see it all end
@@HP1818I don’t think this was a ‘can’t write’ situation! I think the Mayans production and writers banked on a longer run, and FX cut the cord. FX said “go out on your terms”, and the writers fk’d FX and gave them SH💩T!! You can tell 5 would have unraveled all the sidebar stories, but they gave FX the middle finger, and the audience got fk’d like EZ, one episode (dagger) at a time 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Just like Adelita, EZ would be eaten by his own creation. Angel wanted him to leave that life, Gilly was a Mayan to the core so he definitely he would've not let this go. Angel did not want to stab EZ, but Maverick would've lost both of his parents if he did not go along. Jax lost himself trying to do good, EZ lost himself because he lost his way and didn't pay attention to the signs (people) along the way saying that he should turn back.
I feel like bishop was the only one who was numb to stabbing Ez. He was jealous of him and wanted his spot as president back. Everyone else you can tell is was deeply hurt by having to do what they didn’t wanna do
Jax went harder killing Clay, the three Irish kings, August Marks n his top hitters, the Russians, took out the rougue MC president who kidnapped his girl, killed Galan lol killed his mama lol n basically took out a rival cartel mane Jax was on that true Hell Ride bruh n don't forget he killed that crazy ass cop who was stalking Tara mane dude was on some real murder shit n stuck a fork in that Chinese dude head plus shot Jury in the face dude was on some real G shit

EZ's smile as he was being killed harkens to an old wive's tale that when you die you can see the immediate future. EZ was witnessing the ATF inadvertently avenging his death.
Yeah but Ez never told on the club he was only there to get close to the club to get to galindo technically he never told on the club but honestly they kind of made the Mayans look disloyal from the beginning of the season honestly samcro you could see that they all really loved each other and the Mayans were always either going against each other or killing each other

I knew the second she said 'I'll tell you when you get back' that something was gonna happened to Ezekiel. I love the endings for Angel and Maverick but damn this show was so badly written and left a lot of plot holes/ especially felt rushed… sigh left a bad taste in my mouth after Potter killed the Mayans also
I'm so happy Angel got out from the club and to be honest Ez's death scene caught me off guard. Like, I knew this could happen but the whole scene was so, so brutal. Ez took it like a champion but Hank's cold-blooded stab was so brutal.
@@A_Random_Ad for real bro even if they didn’t show it like what they did here we would know soa wouldn’t let anyone from Santo padre live the writing went to shit
@rafimachado7096 facts cuz I seen his face in the templo after being patched in he had that face like "bro I actually started to love ez as a brother but I can't believe this shit"
Angel chose his fatherhood and his child over the club and ez did the same. Jax put his club first too much, if jax lived a new life he would of became felipe.
Just finished the series and thought back they all had an opportunity to leave the club life behind and move on the only ones that actually took that opportunity were Alvarez, Angel, and Letty. Basically, everyone dies due to their own actions and can’t outrun their demons even pops years after the fact, his old cartel lifestyle caught up to him when Galindo and his mother came back around. Bishop refused to clean up and leave the club behind once he found a good woman, Pops had given up his dream of owning the meat shop and everything Hank didn’t tell nails how he felt and put the club over himself and his mother, Gilly had the chance to be with his wife and son again but refused to be around because he didn’t wanna damage his relationship with them any further. Creeper was literally in a relationship with a fed who tried to get him to turn on the club (they knew this and still took her word that ez was a rat and let her go creeps funeral ??? Literally makes no sense) Ez was given the opportunity to leave the life behind when his father told him to just leave the club and told Gabbie to leave him which just pushed him further into the club, so Ez’s death should’ve been more of a discussion no one batted an eye when it came to hearing his side regardless of everything he did to put the Mayans on top if anything he should’ve been removed like Clay
Ez and Jax both had a similar cause of death, they have both made the mistake of killing a member of their club unjustfully. But the difference is Mayans murdered their pres brutally while sons let jax go and Happy, even took a bullet for jax to help him. Mayans was always about money and power while Sons of Anarchy was about brotherhood.
Am i the only one thinking bishop's line was some sting from Elgin James towards Sutter? :)))) "you ain't the only one who reads Shakespeare, motherfucker". Still, this is heartbreaking, especially Angel helplessly crying, forced to stab his own brother and EZ encouraging him to do it. That really hurt.... that and potter still standing.
Although I thought that when Potter wiped EZ's record of everything I thought the whole rat part would die off. But wow it came back full circle. Even if EZ was a rat he never was a coward.
Why would EZ, a supposed genius, allow Bishop to be his VP when he knew how power-hunger the man was. That was one of Bishop's weaknesses EZ exploited to become VP.
So what the hell happened with Paul, what about the thing with Terry showing up at the clubhouse? But did we forget about Angel burning the heroin? Was he forgiven or what? Why was Nails back for a sequence then disappeared? Only for emotional dialogue? Same with Wendy talking about Jax? Did it even matter a lot that Iron War, Grim Bastards and Storm 88 were with the Mayans? It would have been technically the same if they wiped them out like they did the SOA San Berdoo, which was a bad decision building on Isaac so much then suddenly killing him. And speak of the devil, what happened with Soledad after Adelita died? She just vanished, same with "Tuco" in prison, just telling Creeper some stuff, just for the hype of seeing him. Those guest appearances were kind of void, in season 4 and 5. What the hell happened with Cole and his crew? That woman from authorities that tried to do Potter dirty just rage quitted? I feel like they build on so many new narratives and were short on time to finish them so they just killed them off because, director wise, that is the easiest way to solve problems in a plot.
1. No one found out for sure it was Angel but Sophia, Miguel and Ez 2. Iron war, storm 88, and grim bastards association presented the mayans with power over all other clubs due to size and force 3. Cole and his crew would come after the mayans but they had just missed the shipment so it would happen after this presumably 4. The agent against Potter had no testimony anymore due to Miguel dying only evidence she had now was accounting which was not enough to take him down
The stupidest thing was the war, built slowly over several episodes, starting and ending in a club where most of the deaths happened at the base of the baseball bat and 3 shots, 5 minutes of fighting. Pathetic. I completely agree with your points, man: a lot of construction for almost no resolution.
Honestly I liked this TV Show so much. It was like another dose of Sons of anarchy in an aggressive way. But this season was a dog sh**. Ez was a rat but his agent never contacted him through all 5 seasons? There are a lot of unfilled holes in this show I would never thought Kurt Sutter make, he is a great writer and one of the best when it comes to the small screen. I don't see Ez death make any sense, and sure as hell the entire club death, Ez girl the scene she was pregnant then someone killed her.. honestly this episode was so bad.. so bad
Angel lives nothing else matters at this point. Thank the lord they didn’t do him dirty. That’s about it. They did EZ dirty, but in the grand scheme of things, he had a honorable death. Not going out like the rest of The Mayans. He knew Potter was coming. He knew at any moment, it was coming. That’s probably why he smiled at Bishop. He gave Angel a mangekyou sharingan, and very good farewell. Knew they were going to get wiped out, but I thought when them boys pulled up. That it was going to end up being the guys they had a deal with that missed the drop. Also Coco should be happy that Letty managed to find something good. She got away right on time, and saved that dog. They beat the dog out of the sons. I think terry lived. Idk. Sheesh 😅 7/10 ending. Side note. I don’t like how they never mention they were all brothers. Straight disrespected pops. Man I’m so mad at how everything went down.
they didnt do EZ dirty. He had it coming for all the damage he caused. Plus they found him out as a traitor and a rat he was considered a goner. He should have did his time for years in prison and not cave into his cousins bs with going undercover. He possibly could have got out sooner to live a normal life. EZ's character was interesting till up to to season 4. If he had came out of prison without ratting, Taza didn't make his stupid decision, the club still would have been thriving and maybe it could have been just as good of an ending as SOA.
@@reachingmygoals1652 Still did him dirty by not addressing it right away, instead patching in a member to disguise a hit on the prez. Like what? 😂 stick to your elementary analyzing skills.
The only thing that dosnt sit right with me is that every member in santo padre broke the code and rules multiple times but when it comes to EZ they don’t even give him a chance to defend him self like what
Exactly man like he did everything for them killed top players took out Isaac/canche/ramos. Bullt up stuff for em. Hank I can’t take serious he’s a cuck and bishop can’t even lead he tries to act hard, everyone else is just scared to do anything.
And another thing bishop wouldn’t even have the balls to kill switch and throw out Alvarez if it wasn’t for him he wouldn’t regain that president patch
Ohh same here dude when Jax died I was sad but relieved like it’s what Jax wanted this was soo much more dark then samcro ending like we didn’t see Jax get hit by the truck but shit okay how heartbroken we would’ve been but man Angel had it bad lost his wife (he don’t know what happened to her) lost his dad and lost his baby brother was forced to give to kill him but man I hope there is so Samdino or Sanyo Padres chapter in the next spin off and yess I’m a man and I admit it I cried when he died
The moment that bothered me the most was Felipe telling Gabby to go. She was EZ's way out of the darkness, but with that he had nothing to fall back on but the club. The rest is history.
Maybe I'm the only one but ... The writer and director decision to make every character take a turn stabbing EZ was kind of corny. 😂 I mean I get it. They were trying to build up some kind of emotional drama but EZ deserve to better death scene.🤷🏻♂️
This is actually Sean Dugan! I just would like to say this scene made me cry more tears than any movie I ever scene! As a fan of sons I really got into the show! An have to say I am truly sad it's come to an end. Great fuckin show! Long live EZ!
Why the hell did they repeat the audio of his first gasp back to back? All the audio is messed up here. He’s smiling, but you hear him saying “no”, the sounds don’t line up at all. Thats some sloppy shit. Especially for THE pivotal moment of the entire damn series.
Just finished watching. So why did adelitas people kill her? What happened to EZs body, they just threw it in the trash? Was kindoff hoping for a miguel v ez fight. Too many unfinished stories.
Trash finale. Creeper slept with a fed and told her a lot about the club taza started the war cuz he was queer. Gilly and coco were stealing from the club. Bishop was meeting with Alvarez who was excommunicated. EZ led them to the promise land with no fear. Call it what you want EZ didn't do anything Jax didn't do for his club.
Exactly man this dude took out 2 kings and Isaac and cleared a path for santo padre and messed up how they killed his pregnant gf. He got them out the hole bishop was too stupid to be a leader or lead I feel he got that rank cause of being related to Alvarez
@@ulisesreyes9343 agreed Bishop was just a drunk. Imo the monster EZ became is the monster Santo padre created. He was always looking for ways to help the club while the club kept making a shit sand which one after the other.
Honestly I was disappointed in the ending I think bishop just got what he wanted because EZ did what he couldn’t do as president. Taza killed his brother and his body on Mayan property to which led to a war with SOA. But that was ok with bishop? Then creeper was my favorite character besides coco but technically he was dating a undercover and never said anything so that’s technically breaking their clubs code too ? Make me wonder after watched the series about the snake tattoo that EZ made on the first early season mean something with his character fates, like everything lead to this.
Minor detail, but I can't believe they let him die wearing his club colours, they should have stripped his cutte from him before stabbing him to death.
Brother, I have never seen Mayans MC. I'm seeing these clips a lot recently. The first thing I said to myself was "FOR THE NIGHTS WATCH" 😥 EZ was called a rat?? Idk what is happening here but Jon Snow that one messed me up a few days
I don't know why shows nowadays end really bad. Shamless Mayans. Wu Tang finale season was a let down because of those weird episodes. No recording sessions or performances on stage. Snowfalls ending disappointmented me too by making Franklin a alcoholic. Power ended bad too but atleast they got the spinoffs. Hopefully those end good.
