Mayday - Home Free Reaction! 

Just when you thought you had it figured out...BOOM...Tim comes out as a tenor.. Adam Rupp Kills it on Percussion...and Adam Chance sings Bass....LOL. That's what home fries have been waiting for.The surprises aren't done yet !

If you haven't noticed by now Home Free is always full of surprises.....SURPRISED..!!!!

I love how it took you about ten seconds to realize the bass was singing high. Your reaction was just perfect. :)

Tim has a 5+ octave range, he can go from the basement to the roof top. Chance has a 4 octave range and instead of singing in the baritone range, he took over the base part. And Adam the beat boxer did a phenomenal job on this song. Rob and Autin held down their parts very well, too. SURPRISE!!! You never know what these guys will do, so never let your guard down. lol! Chance does that epic low note (I already had a small idea of his range coz he couldn’t have been the bass singer for his previous acapella group otherwise, but even so I wasn’t prepared first time I heard it). Chance is a whole bag of surprises isn’t he? 4 whole octaves and then some! BTW, you’ll love HF’s original song Champagne Taste On A Beer Budget. It’s a riot!

Your reaction to Tim going high and Chance in the basement is why a lot of us try to keep this song away from reactors early. I have seen reactors do this song second and have no idea about the part switching that happens. The surprise is a big part to the reaction for this song.

Another fun fact...they all can beat box.......not as good as Adam. They do it live concerts.....usually Singing 9-5. It's really cool. Thanks for reacting to Home Free again. How great is it that Tim comes out singing up in the rafters and then Chance dropped to the basement! They mix it up so well. You just never know what sound may come out of their mouths! Love it! ❤

On top of the free-range vocals going on, there are places in this song where Adam Rupp is doing Mick Fleetwood-level percussion.

You have to check out their "My Church", "Wake Me Up", and one of their best, "Blue Ain't Your Color"!!!

And again I like a Home Free cover better than the original. Go figure. Now you see why we, a portion of us, wanted you to wait and get to know the guys a little bit before this song. If you didn't know Tim was the bass, or Chance usually covered the baritone part, or... I've watched some reactors give in and watch too soon. Then people get mad when they don't get it. It isn't the reactor's fault when they are just doing what YOU requested. So I'm happy you waited and got the full effect! Awesome, isn't it! Thank you, this was a great way to start the day for me! ^_^

You literally made me laugh out loud again! Chance knocked you on the floor!!! I'm so glad to see a new Home Fry watch a bunch of HF songs before Mayday. You just can't appreciate the depth of talent until you think you know their parts. In my opinion, this is one of the reasons that they are the best a capela group out there. You can take each one of them and hold them up to each person in any group, and they have the most incredible God given talent. They are so horribly underrated, should be on the radio and television!! "Let's unpack!" :)

This is in my top favorites if not my favorite. You get so caught up that you forget there are zero instruments. Individually they are so talented, collectively they are mind blowing.

Tim (the bass of the group) has a 6 octave range so he can sing almost anything he decides to try!!! The one thing I can guarantee you with HF is that when you think that you're comfortable with their talent, the will switch it up on you & give you something different or should I say better!!!

I mean, this is a great performance of a great song, even without knowing the way they've switched around their usual roles - but with that as well it's not surprising it blows people away. I don't think you've seen much of Chance, who did the bass for this song, in the songs you've reacted to - if you'd like to see more, try I Can't Outrun You or the fun one Some Girls Do.

I love your reaction! I heard this song from their CD before I saw the video. I knew them well enough to know their voices, or so I thought. When I saw the video I was shocked! One of their earlier songs is Your Man. It is a bass solo. The best version is in one of their live concert videos. Then check out their Morrison, IL concert (it's very funny).

Chance was bought in to fill Chris' (Adam Rupp's brother) spot as baritone a few yrs ago but apparently in a previous group he was in he was the bass but it's still a crazy range

Oh my sweet baby Jesus. This is my first time hearing this song from Homefree. I love them, but normally am more inclined to PTX, because they consistently surpass my expectations by a great deal. This performance though... you fell off your chair? I THREW MY PHONE!! This was unreasonably good.

In most a capella groups, the baritone will pick up the bass line when the bass is singing. In this case, it's Adam Chance...who is called Chance because the beatboxer's name is also Adam :) HF is always a surprise...they do serious stuff, but also some that's totally funny.
