Howdy guys and gals, shantyboaters are a rare breed in the boating world (and the world in general) and when one says they're in trouble...it must be some real trouble. Wayne (of Wayne Diaries) ran this shanty boat as far as anyone could take her, both toons taking on water, no bilge pump, no dinghy...no radio! After a spun prop, it was time to throw in the towel. After 4 months living on a 17 foot boat (under a tarp) from Lake Michigan to Florida, then another few weeks on the Salty Shanty...well, just watch the video ;)

I suppose I'm a bit OCD but if I had a boat I was LIVING ON, I'd be having a bilge pump on a dedicated batt.,a backup,a LARGE hand pump and a freekin Bucket 🪣!

Cool, Crystal River. Love it over there, camped there many times. Three Sisters River is where you see tons of Manatee right near there too a beautiful place to kayak. Beautiful Springs too.😊👋

A simple fuel tank primer bulb with two lines makes a cheap no power needed bulge pump. No pump. no radio, Hmm.
