The 2024 theme of the MAYDAY! Peace Conference at Gustavus Adolphus College is
"Navigating Conflict: How do we communicate across differences and work toward peace?"
At a time when there is so much conflict -- in world events, national politics, and even in our personal lives -- how do we engage with others and find common ground? Join us for the 2024 MAYDAY! Peace Conference on Wednesday, May 1st for a deep dive into peace-inspired strategies for navigating conflict and recognizing our shared humanity even when we disagree.
This MAYDAY! teach-in will be an opportunity to to draw upon the expertise and insights of Gustavus faculty members from across the disciplines to examine what education's purpose is and should be, who actually decides what gets taught and why, and how the answers to these questions will impact us all in the short term and for generations to come.
