He’s like embodiment of addiction dressed in the garb of an escaped rehab patient, and he portrays it fucking brilliantly. Best performance I’ve ever seen, hands down.
You have got to do the live version of Push it from the album Salival. There’s no visual but sound is second to none. You’ve never heard a song like that one. Cause there’s never been another song like that one. These dudes are the truth and just so full of creativity and originality. As soon as you think you got ‘‘em figured out they flip the script on you and surprise you again. Over and over. Been rolling with these dudes for 27 years now and somehow it never gets old. ✌️
The fan incident of Pushit, even though the video is not great, MJK, performance is legendary handling the situation while still singing not missing a beat
Brother man, at this point we all trust in your sincerity. No need to assure us that you won't lie. We all knew that coming in my dude. You gotta try going through a track start to finish, no pauses. You are experiencing these masterpieces for the first time. I promise you TOOL intends for you to hear their music as a whole, uninterrupted piece of art. We never get a second chance at a first time experience. Just a thought. Spiral out. Keep going.
I’m actually loving it when you mis-hear the lyrics, and robustly repeat it and say “yeah!” like you are connecting with it. To me, it just proves you are legit reacting haha! Thanks for keeping it real!
If you want to see Adam Jones face, you can see him in the bonus features of Jurassic Park sculpting a dinosaur, he's one of the most talented people I've ever seen 😮
I’d recommend not doing many live Tool performances because they usually don’t allow people to record their shows, so most of the videos that do exist are pretty bad quality (since they’re either really old and/or while trying to be stealthy about it). However, there are a couple fantastic ones that I’d recommend: 02 Tool: Eulogy - Live. That’s the title of the video, I’d give you more but it doesn’t say the place or anything. You’ll know it because Maynard is dressed in a suit on stage and acting as a preacher Tool - Jerk Off - 1999-10-10 Indio, CA. You’ll know this one because Maynard is completely blue These are just two of my personal favorites from their live videos. Can’t recommend them enough
I understand people telling you not to pause, but they probably don't know that you aren't going to pass the copyright if you do that. smh. oh well. Keep doing your thing. They're not wrong in a way, but you're also doing this as a reaction video and assuming you want the monetization, Tool army definitely understands that.
Yoooo do me a favor man, this one tho is NOT for the weak of heart.. Death Metal is a WHOLE beast of its own Infant Annihilator - Blastphemian (or Soil the Stillborn lyrical video)
As animated as you react to Tools music. It’s best if you do research before about the lyrics and it’s meaning. Sometimes you will miss the grand meaning if you just listen to the vibe and pick out certain lyrics without finding out what the entire content is about. This song is very deep. It’s some times not what it’s on the surface. His performance and body language is lending to what he’s singing about. He’s acting out what the subject is about. Keep going. You’ll get more appreciation once you understand the WHOLE SONG. oh and yes, instrumentally they kill it
Or you can go into totally blind so as to generate one's own opinion without the influence of others. TOOL is by definition meant to be music to be used as a tool, however one sees fit, to bring about progression, growth, or positive change in their life
@@scottw5253 he’s posting this as a reaction video for anyone to watch him react to it. We’d be doing him a disservice if he’s watching it and not fully understanding the whole experience. It’s not making any negative comments about him personally. As a tool fan as I assume you are as well, it’s satisfying to see a non Tool fan experience their stuff, but to understand it fully to totally appreciate their art.
I'm with you on the live performances, but unfortunately they're few and far between because the way they looked at it, if you wanted to see them live, then you had to go to the concerts. I think they've loosened up on that a little bit in the later years, but they were pretty stingy with officially releasing anything online or live performances for a long time. When they finally released their whole catalog for streaming with their newest album in 2019 they almost broke the internet. Multiple number one and top ten spots on streaming sites for material that was decades old! It was insane.
😂 May-nard...he's not even a REAL human being. You see, "May-nards" 8th generation grandparents were witches. They made a pact and, well..."May-nards" generation drew short straw. Thus, we are all now blessed with "The Good Reverend" May-nard Ja-mes Kee-non (alias) "Your f*cking momma!".....and they wouldn't call him the Good Reverend unless he was GOOD,right?
Even being remastered probably the audio it was shot with video technology from 1993 and what we had we had lol..no Tom just Maynard pronounced May-nerd...get those lyrics in front of you , you're way off 😂
I don’t wanna be mean, but I was badly cringed seeing and hearing you sing only the word “over” 😂😂 sorry man but the lack of tone but always respect the confidence
😂 hahaha. Rock stars write their lyrics to the music? Imagine that! To be honest I'm surprised that you're surprised. Hip-hop artists don't do the same thing?......probably shouldn't assume that you like Hip hop, but if I was in Los Vegas I'm betting on black.
Don't go looking for live performances. Live TOOL videos suck! They do not allow recording at their shows. So all the videos are crappy fan cam phone shots with poor sound and bad angles. You're wasting your time. There are a few videos only. Most are old. Try the 3rd Eye Salival Live version. It's old but an amazing performance. Actual performance from the live album. There are also a few others. Stinkfist video from Connecticut.
