I just rode this for the first time two days ago. It was a LOT wetter than your video, but still open! They've also opened an extension to the blue trail just to the right of where you finished at 11:30, which adds about a mile (I'm told). Thanks for the video!
At least you didn't cut the fall out, i was at Uwharrie last spring riding that ROCKY area and ended down a ravine 20-30 feet and the bike another 20, rocks aren't my favorite terrain, fortunately that trail doesnt have any exposure
Holy cow, glad you survived, that's crazy! Water crossings aren't my favorite, I've been wet more than once. That video was with my other bike, without a dropper. It's a really fun trail, you should check it out!
Great looking trail, falling is never fun, I have had my worst crashes on sections of trails I didn't think were challenging. All I know is the ground/rock/tree always wins. I am good about wearing knee pads now, but haven't used a dropper post. There is one on my son's new bike and I now see how beneficial they can be.
@@christopherjohnson5575 my last crash was at Sugar Mountain at a relatively simple part of the course that I had been over running all day. So yes, it's not always the tough sections that get you!
I like this system, it has a lot if potential where all those rocks scattered about! How big of a backlog do you have? No way you filmed this recently. I imagine it’s beautiful with leaves at the moment
It's a really cool trail and hope to do my first race here next year. It's awesome this time of the year, I'll get back out and post some Instagram pics with all the summer foliage. Thanks for watching and commenting!
