7 Action News was in court today as more information was revealed about the driving record of a man who was caught on video driving with a suspended license during a court hearing was in front of the same judge today.
International. I'm in Canada enjoying this and even the BBC news in the UK showed the video. With this new twist, the man is probably going to be global.
Except that he kept going back EVERY YEAR to renew his state issued I.D. 😂 There are things that can't be purchased without a valid ID, so he made sure to stay on top of that I guess. 🤷♀️
He actually showed up to court with a t-shirt on that says "Trust Me" on the front and fingers crossed on the back! And it turns out that he actually is a liar. That's about as dumb as driving during his suspended license hearing. This guy is quite a few bricks shy of a load.
I thought it was bad when he was caught driving by the court. Saying he has a doctors appointment he had to get too. The a day later he gave an interview to some news channel. Where he changed that to his wife was having a medical emergency and he was taking her to her doctors appointment. This guy lies a lot, but he doesn't know how to lie.
Sounds smart ... More about non-granted jurisdiction as that of a "licensee", as per: "An action by Department of Motor Vehicles, whether directly or through a court sitting administratively as the hearing officer, must be clearly defined in the statute before it has subject matter jurisdiction, without such jurisdiction of the licensee, all acts of the agency, by its employees, agents, hearing officers, are null and void." Doolan v. Carr, 125 US 618; City v Pearson, 181 Cal. 640.
@ronaldpershing8633 I'm pretty sure he doesn't owe child support anymore that's why he was able to apply to get his license back .. also the court can't make you sell your car smh try reading a book on law
My guess. He did not pay child support and in order to coerce him into paying the court can suspend his driving privilege among others -- without actually verifying whether he had license in the first place because child support has little to do with driving license. I do not know it's my guess. I saw "child support" and "suspension" in some file news reporter showed us.
If you’ve never had a DL and you get stopped for a traffic violation they will issue you a DL # then suspend it. When you finally go to get a DL you will have the number that the state issued you and suspended
If he were a she- most of you ninjas in every comment section about this dude- would be singing a different tune! And whining and cyber high fiving about a woman being in trouble .
@@gamblinhurn1 No, her goal there should have been to reach out to other defendants who need her help. Instead she reached out to the people who don't need her help by calling those who do need her help stupid.
He does a zoom to the court about a suspended drivers license while driving, then he goes to court to be told he never had a license, while at court THEN they find out he has a warrant for his arrest. LMAO
Oh man, this guy is a mess. His lawyer saying "bottom line, handle your business" killed me. "Okay, but DO you have a license?" "I don't remember." The twists. The journey we've been on with this suspended license!
He put on the same dumb face when the reporter asked him if he ever had a license. "Um, I don't know. I can't say yes and I can't say no." Brother needs to get his life together before he makes a fool of himself on national TV again.
Oh boy a Penguinz0 watcher. Hey genius, he HAD a *SUSPENDED* license. You cannot drive without a license. Driving is a privilege, not a right. If you drive with a suspended or revoked license, that is illegal. If you drive WITHOUT ANY RECORD OF a license, that is illegal. Get over it, facts don't care about your feelings.
@D-Coop24 the suspension was on his driving privileges as in he needed to clear that *before* he could even get a valid license but for whatever reason he never cleared that suspension so either he thought he his old license was still valid (it wasnt) or he was actually driving around without an actual license but in either case he didn't have a valid license on top of having his driving privileges suspended.
He knew he didn't have a driver's license from the start. This guy wasted everyone's time and there was no reason to. This is the kind of crap that slows the system down. Shame on him.
@@cwhipp9805 I do not know which part is more ridiculous: The Courts stated his license was suspended in 2022. The Courts stated that it was his fault that his license was suspended because he did not pay the court fees and registration reinstatement fee. The Court than stated that he did not have a valid Michigan's driver license. The Secretary of State office in Michigan stated that his license was suspended. The Courts stated that rescinded that license suspension in 2022. He goes to jail on a bench warrant that the court was not aware of previously
*That ‘zoom call court hearing’ with him pulling up to ‘the doctor’s office’ while talking to the judge… I need that confidence in my life.* Dude was at his worst yet so nonchalant. 😂
It's not confidence. It's obliviousness. His whole life has been driving without a license, and he is so used to it that it never occurred to him that he was breaking the law. He's been breaking the law for 20-30 years on a daily basis, it's just normal life for him. Now that he's finally caught, oh the system is against him.
@@PauloHernandezXD It was a joke y’all! 😂 *It takes a special person to live so worry-free and not get bothered by it at all, whether other people know it or not.* Everyone around him knew as he got arrested previously but that didn’t deter him. Dude, at least hide it from the judge. He didn’t pull over & get out of the car to stand in the side walk before speaking with the judge which is super disrespectful of the judge/court to be breaking the law while live streaming. His poor lawyer couldn’t save him there. Ha!
@@GorgieClarissathe car got to be in his wife name. If you got pull over while driving her car. She allow to pick up, if the car in his name if he get pull over, they going to take his car away. Getting it out of the tow yard isn't fun at all. They go by days and the fees add up.
Guy is a lifelong scammer. How do you not know if you ever had a valid license or not? He knew the truth but keeps lying and his lies are catching up to him
@devintariel3769 I know you’re not trying to make some covert joke about black people.. talking about indigenous. Do you need to be reminded of the history or your kind ..? Cause honey it ain’t too pretty
@jamietuggnut3312 He was too stupid to let her do the driving.. could have answered the zoom call from the passenger seat. So that doesn’t make things any better… LOL
Maybe because when your on child support and the bills are stacking up. Things happen and you don’t check the mail and BOOM. You have a suspended driver license with no way to get to the doctor. WHAT WOULD YOU DO SMART ASS???
The fact he wore that shirt makes this case 10x funnier... "TRUST ME" then the back of his shirt is him crossing his fingers!? Like you can't make this up... he's literally showing he's a liar wearing that... you can't be this out of touch. 🤣
Let me see if I got this right 1. He NEVER had a Michigan driver’s license although currently living there. 2. He never had a driver’s license even from another state, he could’ve gotten the suspension lifted BUT it required Corey to pay some sort of administrative fee first to get it reinstated and he never did that. 3. Turns out he had a 9 year old active bench warrant regarding another matter that he never resolved resulting in his arrest in court. 4. He had a lousy lawyer that didn’t do the bare minimum and at least run a criminal background check on her client to make sure there was nothing else outstanding before he went to court. 5. The judge’s original order for Corey to turn himself in for not having a valid driver’s license was actually correct. Conclusion: Corey is an idiot, just like we all thought in the first place.
We don't even know about #2 because he couldn't say if he ever had a drivers license. For #5, he actually did report to the jail and spend 2 days there.
And his lawyer, who graduated from Cooley Law School (the worst law school in the U.S.), also got reamed out considering she went on the record yesterday to tell the world "He's a law-abiding citizen". 😅😂🤣
You can not get "Government Assistance" unless he living with someone under 18 years of age. Since, it was claimed, his license was suspended for non payment of child support, that means he was NOT living with anyone under age 18, thus no Government Assistance. Now, an exception exist if you are disabled and can not work but that means you have a work history (and you lose that income if you end up in jail for more then 30 days). Another exception is Food Stamps, but Foot Stamps is viewed as a subsidy to American farmers not the inner city poor (and run by the Department of Agriculture NOT Social Security or Health and Human Services).
That show is all scripted and fake... In reality, she is a diehard liberal who voted for Biden, Clinton, Obama, and hasn't been a "Judge" in well over 30 years.
He likely wasn’t honest with her and that sucks as an attorney. He knew he had a warrant and wasn’t going to say nothing until he got caught, same with the license. I bet he didn’t tell his attorney before she took on the case that he never had a license.
Every driver remembers if they have a drivers license, because it is just something you NEVER FORGET..It's like not remembering if you are a Virgin or NOT
@kareashelton9115 🤣 I actually feel bad for him 😅 yea he messed up. But he seem like a cool funny guy. Not that smart. But you can tell he was having a great day when he went live with the judge. He was so happy to park stationary 🤣 then reality settled in 🤣 bless his heart 😅
America has the most people incarcerated on earth. Saying I don't remember is probably generally the best play. Never having a license and driving is crazy. However you can easily get your liscense suspended for something absurd like not realizing you didn't follow a paperwork rule when you move states etc.
Anyone else find it more than a little ironic he wore a shirt saying "trust me" which then had crossed fingers on the back (usually meaning "im lying")?
@alejofox10. I'm sure that with your name ending in fox10, (lol), you KNOW that this is a scripted, acted & staged scene that IS NOT a real-life court scene.
Oh the video of him in his car driving and then talking to that judge while doing so was priceless..! The look on his face in the driver seat while the judge asked him if he was driving was hilarious..!
1. He's a deadbeat dad. 2. He's a criminal with a pending 9 year old bench warrant. 3. He's a liar. 4. He wore a tee-shirt to his hearing in a court room. You go directly to jail.
