If you machine flows water while set to hot water it is your water inlet screen clogged. Pull it out and clean it. Use needle nose pliers and it pulls out like a Cork. Screw all this diagnostic testing. Something so simple took me all day to troubleshoot. Hit like if it worked. I had mine stuck in sensing mode. Try this if just hot works.

These are actually Maytags category called "Vertical Modular" washing machines? As a certified automotive tech, an ASE Master Tech since 1978, we raise 4 children and thousands of loads went thru the matched set we bought 28 years ago. Yes, they developed normal wear and tare issues so I fixed them. Cars are emissions, tractors plant, prepare and harvest food, but washers & dryers are required to use less energy, great. So, let's put a Chinese printed circuit board in for a control panel, circle it in the parts book #1. One part controls everything but no diagnostics, no schematic inside the machine and what do we have. A $100 fee for a $21 per hour tech to show up, turn the knob a couple of times, look at his/her diagnostics flow chart and tell the washer was unbalanced during a recent load, moved 2 inch to the left on a slightly uneven floor tile, which triggered a shut-down a blinking light. Change my answer from no to hell no. Push a button, chart says this, fix it and wash some clothes. Oh, yes, that will be $138, plus service tax in your state, plus 5.5% for the state & 2.0% for the city. No wonder farmers are pushing the "Right to Repair" bill in congress. Remove the back cover on a 10 year old tractor and their is 5 computers that monitor GPS location (If you pay an annual fee) one for the engine, drive train, dash & controls, another for cab functions like radio, communications to home, A/C, Heater, door open (Unsafe so run in Limp Mode) at 3 miles per hour, etc. And built in Mexico for $3.10 per hour to increase the profit margin! Yeah! We all loose! DK, ASE master tech since 1978.
Our washer keeps getting stuck in diagnostics. It will keep shake violently and not stop. After 5 minutes we have to unplug the washing machine . Any ideas? Thanks
