This exclusive shoot allowed us to compare and contrast and demonstrate how, 25 years since it changed the face of the world's sports car market, the Mazda MX-5 has evolved.

It was first unveiled at the 1989 Chicago motor show and has since outsold any other car of its kind. The inspiration behind the Mazda MX-5 was the British sports car of the 1960s: evocative machines like the MGB, Lotus Elan and Triumph Spitfire.
