Is Fazolis even really italian? It's like some midwesterner's idea of italian cuisine without the follow-through

@@skelecy If I have learned one thing about Italian food it's that if you eat it in the US and it's not made by Italians, you are being served something that would inspire an Italian to murder the chef. Like, I have been to Olive Garden and I can't remember anything about the experience it was so mediocre. I have also had lasagna in an Italian restaurant in Little Italy in Boston and it's still one of the best things I've ever eaten.

@@Sasquach1312 Olive garden is in essence a cheap sit-down restaurant to go to when you are hungry and you have the metabolism of a college student. However, Italian American food is a real cuisine in itself. The cuisine is made from the Italian immigrants who all mostly immigrated in the early 1900s. It mixes American ingredients, usually on the lower end as Italian immigrants were usually on the lower end of the socieconomic hierarchy, with Italian recipes.

@@nyarg33 My mom (5'1) is the hand-thrower, no question. Dad (6'6) is pretty chill and prefers to let her handle herself, at least partially out of fear. She once yelled at an airport security guard in Mexico for moving my dad's arm sling (he'd been hit by a car on his bike right before we went on vacation) to search it for drugs. Of course she probably didn't realize the guy had an AK strapped to his back, but he was so startled by a white woman dressing him down in rapid spanish that it didn't really matter. Needless to say my dad was the one reasoning mom down from hulking the fuck out right there in the middle of an even shittier Olive Garden.

Breadsticks are unlimited. Plates, however, are in fact limited.

I discovered I have an allergy to gluten a few years ago. I have since had an unsatiated hunger for that good good bread. If I could eat bread again, every restaurant should fear me

I get sick if I eat alot of garlic or tomatoes.............but I'll fuck with Fazoli's any day. Totally worth spending any amount of time in the bathroom wishing for death. I'll eat the equivalent of six loaves of bread just in those delicious bread sticks.

@@frost9681 my sister was allergic to gluten for years (the cramps from an accidental exposure almost caused a miscarriage). Then she got diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, started medication and now she can have gluten again! It’s very much worth a try if you’re able to see a doctor about it :)

Yup. My only option at work has been Panera Bread for the past 5 years. So, there's noooooo way I am ever eating at a Panera Bread outside of work ever again.
