The thing with Unchained as a package in Yubel is it allows you to get Soul of Rage for a SP Little Knight play where you're removing 2 problem cards. 1 with Soul to link off a SS'd monster, and another with SP to remove a card from the field, and a potential third hit with her on-board effect to temporarily banish a card. Let's not even begin with how Sharvara setting Prison lets you get Soul of Rage again for another steal later on into the game. As well as Yama being in the GY being able to revive any Fiend in the GY, meaning Sharvara Pop Spirit of Yubel gets you Sharv, Spirit gets Yubel, and Yama can bring back Spirit to go into Varudras. The Unchained package for Yubel requiring only 2 slots in your maindeck and 2 at minimum in your ED is just phenomenal when Dark Beckoning Beast alone can set up the Unchained line.

@@coders1786 Fiend Pile as it's called or Fiend Link (weird as there's a lot of fusion being done) is what I'm planning on taking for Nats. I honestly think it's gonna be one of the harder decks to play but gives you the most rewarding board and has the flexibility to adapt easily based on interupts.

@@adamata64 Fr being able to go caesar right away or Beatrice without committing any other play is insane. And you always just have the option to just otk going second with yubel. One good nibiru token and it’s gg😂

@@adamata64 Yeah but that’s what I mean, Yubel doesn’t need to run more Sharvara, he is searched off of Yama. And Yama is an unchained soul monster so he makes Rage. In this case, Yama is absolutely the problem, ban Sharvara and you can replace it with an Aruha for when you’re done with non-fiend stuff and you miss out on the trap, which not all Yubel run. Sharvara at 1, currently, only really matters for Unchained specifically because Yubel doesn’t need more copies of a card they’d get for “free” anyways, it’d be like running more Boot Sector Launch or Dragon Ravine copies in Dragon Link. Not saying no one would run it at 2+, but it’s way less value in any other deck when it’s your only search target and not the rest of the archetype.

But it didn’t though. You needed to play hand traps to beat tearlament, which would just FTK you if uninterrupted

Kirin does the same thing, is at 3, and the format is still handtrap heavy, nor does it make its own deck remotely playable, sharvara had NOTHING to do with it.
