I like how Eiht is always willing to talk about this situation and answer in detail and reiterate the story, even though I’m sure he’s told it and been asked about it a million times. I respect how he doesn’t get annoyed and gladly breaks down the history lesson. Most rappers want to gloss over or just refuse to talk about stuff from so long ago
@parkermudsen1063 Im Westcoast bias however I would have to say East Coast cause if it was really some street ish popping off, with lets say Nas crew or something.... you know he rolls deep and Deathrow be outnumbered in NY.
I Love & Appreciated Both MC EIHT & DJ QUIK, Both Got Classics….QUIK’s GRoove & MC EIHT’s Classic “Nuthin But A Gangster” Ft Redman…..One Of My All Time Favorites…Research & Listen To Both HIPHOP Legends….!!!
Haha I listen to and like both artists...But back in maybe 2010 or 11 I tweeted to MC Eiht and asked, jokingly "Is it true you left the G out your name cause the G ain't in you?"...I was just trolling and not thinking much of it & like an hour later he responded and said "That Chit funny" lol.
"Death Row came about 50 deep. I only had 9 nikkas with me. They was dissin Puffy and Big. In New York. Perform yo songs. Ain't shit we could do about it." That was smart on Eight part.😂😂😂😂😂

To be fair I don’t think Quik had songs where he would say “Fkk Eazy E…fkk Comptons Most Wanted…fkk them crabs” 😆 I’ve listened to the Red Tape album and they don’t bang like that. All he says is “I ain’t no NWA, to the TOP of the TREE, for CMW to see”
I have the Red Tape and that’s the only song he even mentioned CMW and it wasn’t even a diss it was just letting everybody know they were on a mission to be known
@@Zonedout420 my uncles had dubs and I still remember swinging from tree to tree it’s me .. I’m dj Q and I don’t claim fruitz This is waaaay back when quik was livin the 30s neighborhood he had the roadium mixes and everything both tony a and Dre
Would be dope to hear that record with Eiht and Mausberg. Quik might have that stashed somewhere on a hard drive. Probably a demo at that point. RIP Maus
I never heard QUIK diss Eazy or NWA on the red tape unless it's a track that i never heard,QUIK said he ain't NWA & he was from the Top of the Tree for CMW to see
There another unreleased version of that song & he did diss Eiht, Eazy E, WC, basically all the crip rappers. On the Red tape, first rapper that started banging on wax. Even BG knoccout talked about it
@@L1am21Mack 10 n snoop squashed it .. quik pulled up on a dirt bike on a rap city when Joe Clair was the host It was on the set of thicker than water Then snoop set it up with tavis
Quik said to mc 8" caught at the light in your camry in the modst of a real killer....with 2 trey 5-7's pointed at your chest. Anybody know about that situation?
Who knows, still to this day a lot of people don't know how it came about. Eiht and Quik had different versions of how it started so they themselves were confused how they let it escalate. Such a big part of their journey so they often times dont mind getting it off their chest.
@@Grind365Podcast it's all good.. I'm a fan.. reality is that EIHT won with the money game.. had a career revitalization with that Kendrick Lamar record.. QUIK never able to breakout with big mainstream hit.. but the homies know.. I bought all the CDs
@HugeGamma I find it intriguing how Eiht can lay low for a little make a splash move like GTA, then lay low again and come back jump on Kendrick Lamars album and now he's got the Podcast and all that stuff. Its like popping back up with big moves right when he needs it if that makes any sense
@@HugeGamma Bingo. Not to mention, his role in Menace To Society also helped to elevate his image, and preserve his legacy better. Quik won the battle, but Eiht won the war, is how I see it.
@@th3azscorpio it's true.. I bet EIHT made more money off the M.A.A.D City feature with Kendrick than Quik made his entire career.. that was a massive hit.. Quik never had a big radio success
I don’t think suge had anything to do with quick dissing mc eight at the source awards lol just loook at how quick performing the song he don’t look scared at all that was all him
i think quite a few people got Fd up behind the eiht/quick beef to a point where neither eiht or quick had any control over anything, because they both werent built like that. they are gang affiliated, but mild mannered dudes. but other people would get it cracking, without them actively sending people to do something, let alone get busy themselves
I want to preface what I am about to say by stating that I am in no way trying to minimize all these historic rap beefs of the past. However, I do want to call out that even back then, the feuds seemed a lot more clean cut and respectful. It all seemed more innocent and professional. It was diss tracks being flung back and forth. Then you noticed that sooner or later, the people would peace it up- only for you to find it that the beef was over some professional stuff. Now it's all done via social media. It's all predicated on "who gives a F" level stuff. Like "Corny Rapper A did a live at a club with Corny Rapper B's homie".... ok, fair enough *5 Mins Later* "Tonight on the 10 o'clock news, Famous Instagram Star and rapper Corny Rapper A was gunned down at a car dealership this morning. Police suspect ties to a public feud were...." .... and then now everyone has to pretend that Corny Rapper A was "the new Tupac". Just child-like and retarded behavior.
He didn't even diss CMW he gave them respect and Eiht took it the wrong way he never said fuck them etc this guys memory is just completely wrong. "Top of the tree with CMW see"
East Coast rappers probably would've helped mc eiht.. not cuz they're huge fans but Cuz he's fighting against death row, they're against death row.. a enemy of a enemy is s friend of mine type 💩.. Plus eiht NEVER said anything bad about east coast or targeted any East Coast artist so he had no beefs.. had he rushed quik and death row tried to jump eiht and he's outnumbered, east coast would've Saw it as a perfect opportunity to get off on death row and start stomping mfs out.. eiht and East Coast had One thing in common.. beef with death row.. So if only makes sense East would've backed up eiht. And had That actually happened that would've built a relationship between East and ehit.. they went to war together..
But Eiht You Had 8 Dude's With You Deathrow Had 50 Dude's But New York 🗽🗽 Would've Joined Forces With You And Your 8 And They 50 Would've Been Outnumbered
