This is a sunshine cruiser to take out for the day or weekend to entertain guest. Wouldn't want to cross an ocean with it unless it is great weather the whole way. Many of the designs are just not very open sea bad weather safe.

The only way I can purchase this beauty is to sell my home and live on this boat. Oh well maybe in a few more years When my son is off to college. Beautiful boat and great video.

I wonder why isn’t there a fully loaded closed in area to pilot the Boat/Yacht!!!

I kind of like the layout and allocation of space, however i question just how functional as a "cruiser" it is with a fly bridge that at least appears to have no practical way to protect pilot and or crew from elements. I saw the lower helm but you cant sail from there, just watch. I know alot of boats drop there dodgers and spray hoods for aesthetics at shows. But just looking at it im not sure if its even a possibility.

It's becoming abundantly clear... that so many people who leave comments on You Tube films... particularly boat walkthroughs... have literally no idea what they are talking about. This Cat is an outstanding piece of design. And the fact that's it's been conceived and built by McConaghy (and Jason Kerr) gives it instant cred... whether you're a Cat person or a single hull enthusiast. There are numerous reviews elsewhere on the web with actual experts confirming as much. Until you know what you're talking about... just don't comment.

On the thumbnail, the boat looks dangerous. Like a fighter jet. I'd live on it.

I like the dark veneer.

I love the fact that the engines are under the stairs and not under the beds. Does it use sail drives? What I don't like are the funky shaped beds. It's too hard to find fitted sheets for them.

Even if it is a cat, I don't like sharp corners on a boat. The cabinetry and fixtures are injuries waiting to happen.

With a big cat like that, you should have an Expandacraft modular boat of some kind on board. Expandacraft is a modular multihull which fits in small spaces and can transform into all sorts of watercraft. Row, paddle, paddle, sail or motor, it's like the Lego of boats

Too many things I do not like which are easy to see, like end of kitchen staircase"hole" or end of stairs "stephole" to owners compartment. Never heard of that brand, thanks for showing, but I leave at 4:58 - it is not for me.

Gorgeous boat, but I'm surprised to see what appear to be a few tripping hazards here and there.

Is it 3 rooms?,, the owners bed seems smaller than the bed that is sideways on that side that also has 2 singles

Not sure why it bugs me, but the engine bay on the port side just dosent seem right. I guess its a great space saving engineering.

what about practicality???it is practical to have the helm station with all the electronics fully exposed to the elements without any shield, how do you manoevre in bad weather if you can't be out ?? there is no front deck, just the dolphin net, if you want to relax outside while sailing where do you go? you can't be in the dolphin net because you'll get splashed...but if you want it to be practical, you'll need to invest more....design is one thing and yet if you want it to stand out from the common lot you need to reconcile design with practicality otherwise you get a product which is seen as a "rich kid toy" for summer.

God that thing is sexy. If only I had 1.6 million lying around.

Nice video, wish there was someone talking through it. I don’t like the Cat at all. I am brand new, really just started looking at learning how to sail, and looking at live-aboards. No shades on the room windows, hope you don’t plan on sleeping after night watch. Bathroom windows don’t look tinted, how embarrassing. Portholes under the stairs? Why? To increase the price and threaten hull integrity? Pilots station is a huge safety hazard in anything rough, and not enclosable in any way, not even a soft enclosure. Stairs to the pilot station in even slightly choppy waters. I’ve been on an Aircraft Carrier in rough seas you’d be surprised how low waves can be and affect your balance even if you don’t realize it.

That's no sailing vessel, it's a CRAMPED toy for someone to show off, not sail. The heads are TINY. The berths TINY. Sharp corners everywhere. I wouldn't take this across the pond if you paid me to.

very crappy design compared to most. Not even a helmsmans seat at control station, and no control station under cover. Beds are high then low, windows in bedrooms are at odd heights for beds, kitchen layout is stupid, not much if any seating on trampoline side, extremely crappy design. Then the sharp corners everywhere, the tripping hazards everywhere, crappy winch location, crappy engine location and crappy engine access for repair or service, better under a bed inside. I could go on and on about why this catamaran is terrible. Worst of all in bad weather having to go on crappy little steps to top to an uncovered, seatless helmans station. JUST GAWD AWFUL. I would be caught dead on this crappy boat, and i wouldnt buy it for 300,000, For 1.6 million there are way better boats, intelligently designed. But some idiot will look at it with his wife, and she will be like " look honey the kitchen window slides" The pussy whipped dufous will buy it, then when he realizes it is complete garbage he wont be able to unload it for more then 500,000. OH WELL one born every minute. oh yeah lets not forget about the island which takes up half the floor space, then leaving the far end of kitshen to fall into the stairwell, then the stupid two seats in master bed with opening for 66 inch plasma only 4 feet in front of passengers. I could go on and on. Oh yeah whats with the stupid steps at bottom of stairs, the openings. This thing must be made in CHINA, where they take someone from the chinese countryside where their family has been using oxing to farm for 1,000 years, and expect in one generation that person will turn into a master tradesman, the chinese mentality for building anything, is cut corners cut corners cut corners. And whats with the 4 inches of space around sides of master bedroom, it doesnt accomplish eff all, just make a bigger bed from wall to wall stoopid.
