Working in fast food isn’t meant to be a “living wage”. It’s an entry level job they requires no skill, no high school diploma, or college degree. Unless you’re upper level management running a restaurant location you’re not gonna be making that kind of $. Higher wages means higher food costs, higher inflation. It’s basic economics

That's really not a lot. If you reduce the amounts of profits they make in half (4.25 billion) and lower the price of the 18.25 billion burgers they sell a year, it would only come to about a savings of 23 cents per burger.

Well…this $5 Meal adds up to $1.25 an item, so they can put those five items together (with a few other things like a small McFlurry) and do it again. People would appreciate it, I think. That’s what McDonald’s is for…value. You want a good burger go to The Habit.

He mentioned their app a couple of times. I have their app on my phone and it is one of the most NON-user-friendly apps I have. If I don't go for a length of time, it makes me re-register when I do go back. It offers deals, but makes it hard to add that deal into whatever else I'm ordering. I've had to order the deal, pick it up, then order everything else after that. It's frustrating how poorly built their app truly is.

Not so fast. It’s not perfect but it is easy to use. There are only 3 things you need to do and the tabs are easily seen not missed. The issue is using it at the drive thru

You know… our fast food workers got a wage increase in California. In N Out, is a pretty big company started here in California, and they only had to raise their prices, at most, by 25 cents due to it. McDonald’s, which is massive in comparison, raises prices to a ridiculous amount with no justification. There have been some franchisee’s that have complained, but in reality, it is just greed! I am all for making a profit, but if that profit becomes a greedy profit, and the reasoning to increase prices is to feed that greedy profit, I will not eat there. Others won’t either. In N Out gets a ridiculous amount in profit without having to jump prices like that. So this guy in the video is a joke. Go eat local, or at one of the better fast food restaurants.

The Quarter pounder meal has always been a dollar higher than the big Mac meal, and I recently found an old Mcdonalds receipt from 2017 for a *DOUBLE* Quarter pounder meal, and the total after tax was $7.67. The normal Quarter pounder meal would have been a dollar less.

Just because I can afford to pay $18 for what's supposed to be cheap fast food doesn't mean I will willingly do so. I'm honestly more worried about what will happen once everything is taken away from *"The Poors".* Older people like yourself don't actually understand the social contract very well or you would be worried too. You forget the inevitable outcome. People only agree to the social contract while the juice is worth the squeeze. When you distort civilization so the social contract only favors the people at the middle and above, you find the bottom getting very angry at the top, and that has never ended well for any society. Employees are the ones running out customers. Customer service is dead!!! It's no longer your eager teenager behind the counter. Instead, it's a bitter 40 something angrily taking your order. They then tell you to 'pull up' when you're at the drive thru unnecessarily, as if they're smarter than you. I personally stopped going to restaurants bcuz of this. As we ALL know, Fast Food was invented in New Jersey, back in '37, BEFORE the War. It was Hoboken, I believe, where not only French fries, but also Dutch Fries, Jewish Fries and the Walnut-Raisin-Pistachio shake came to be. But then, people in Arkansas saw this trend and decided to have more toothless meal options, such as the now world famous Gruel Burger. You're welcome...😮😅

The key is to use the app. When I go to McDonalds I can get a buy 1 double cheeseburger, get one free. I get an ice water and no fries. The total cost is a little over $4.00. And I’m stuffed.

Food workers in all industries should be paid a lot more and be held to the highest standards. They are heros like firefighters or hospital workers. They are essential workers and should be paid more. It amazes me such a liberal state like Cali can do some good, but in the end it's just not enough. That's why I am voting for Biden if Trump was in office he would lower minimum wage.

The other issue though is that McDonald's will do everything it can to keep most of its workers at part-time, so they don't have to pay benefits. And this has always been that way. When I worked there in the early eighties, only managers and Grill people got full-time hours. That was fine at the time, because I was in college. But now as an adult, I need a job that pays health insurance or a wage that allows me to pay for it myself

It's all relative. 20.00 is a poverty wage in California. Costs a grand per month just to rent a room. Gas always more than 5.00 per gallon. Grocery store prices higher, too.

Del taco snack quesadilla: small flour tortilla with cheese spread, about 2. Rip-off Value nachos about 2. Fair Taco Bell nachos 8. Biggest rip-off. Their bean cheese and rice burritos as well as their soft potato taco for under 2. is a great deal. El pollo Loco Large flavorless beans 8. Rip-off. I had to go to work n sometimes no other choice than MCD but now I have 2 kids n I never want them to go to MCD. They r young 4 n 1 year old n I ll try my best so they don’t go. Simple.

I love how he literally dodges every question. Like why is this only 4 weeks? I get that in 2 cities they are extending it but in most areas this is a limited time offer. I don't go to McDonald's anymore because there are better options that are cheaper. For my family of 4 I was spending 35 bucks for McDonald's. I now go local restaurants and we all eat much better food for the same or cheaper. Fast food isn't worth it anymore. I used to eat at McDonald's because it was cheap. Some meals cost close to 15 bucks now for food that really isn't that great.
