Half the time I'm cleaning up the lobby, I'm taking a look at all the people ordering from the kiosk, jotting down the numbers in my head just in case the printer paper doesn't come out. If it doesn't, I immediately show up beside them and tell them exactly what their order number is. It's such a relief for the other person, and such a good feeling for me. EDIT: For a quick heads-up, don't look down at the paper printer when you're ordering off the kiosk. Keep your eyes glued to the screen until you see your number, and THEN look for the printer paper. Saves you the hassle of having to ask the workers which order is yours, even if that works too.

Fun story: my McDonald’s had these ordering machines where, and almost every time me and my dad went to McDonald’s we would use them, but one day the screen on the machine thingy had smudges. Me and my father didn’t think much of it and we ordered out food, we went back home to eat sitting in the living room, my dad in his bedroom, in scroller though my phone until I found this article from this local news thingy Turns out that same machine ordering system thingy we used had 10% skid marks. People would use the toilet then use the goddamn machine without washing their hands, and the amount of times me and my dad order from that machine was a lot, so that fact that we were touching a screen that possessed a percentage of 10 percent skid on it was disgusting we never went that McDonald’s again, and soon we moved.

5:25 as someone who has worked fast food, fries are kept frozen until they are put into the fryer. Procedure is to make sure all of the fries are submerged in the hot oil, but managers are now having employees fill above the fry line, meaning that some fries never get cooked at all, as they don’t get any hot oil on them. This leaves the fries above the line still frozen.

Also you get used to the smell and force yourself to don't think about it.

One time I ordered on one of the machines and after 30 minutes I heard an employee tell someone else that the machines weren’t working. About 7 other customers got up, presumably in the same situation as me. We couldn’t just leave at that point bc the machine had charged us, so we either needed a refund or to order again. So we had to wait in line another 15 minutes and for those who ordered, wait another 20 minutes for their food…
