This is the only college football show I watch. Period. Greg, you and your team do a great job and clearly put in a lot of effort, as it shows in the quality. As for losing to Vanderbilt, Alabama should keep their head up. This is a new era for them, and these losses will happen. Even Saban had a couple of "bad" losses. They're human - give them a break.
I miss Nick Saban, but I’m glad he got out when he did. The end of the Saban era is coincident in time with the end of college football as we’ve known it since WWII.
Honestly, I tune in for Greg. He's the best analyst in College football, hands down. Mr. McElroy could you please lead your RU-vid description with the "Always College Football" Moniker? I don't know why but my app isn't showing this moniker. It only shows the general notification bell for ESPN. Then it sends a million notifications for stuff that I just don't care about. Thank you.
As an OU fan and a member of many OU groups I can say I have never heard anyone talk about firing Venables. We're all still behind him and we understand we're still coming up from the departures we've had a couple years ago and again losing our starting qb at the end of last year
No one is great this year. No one. That’s NIL. And the lack of discipline handed down to Malachi Moore for his antics should be more worrisome to Bama fans than a loss to Vandy.
I agree with their point about if Ole Miss or LSU loses Saturday, it’s likely they will lose another game. At the same time if whichever team that loses ends up winning out, they’ll be in the playoff
Texas has yet to trail in a game this season. Say what you will about Michigan, they still have three projected first round draft picks on defense and Texas could easily have scored 50.
People are saying Nick Saban would’ve never allowed this. Nick Saban also never had to face the 12 team playoff. Players know they can lose a game or two and still make the playoffs now. Saban never had to face that. With NIL, transfers, and now a 12 team playoff, college football is going to turn into the NFL. Teams will lose on any given Saturday now.
Yeah I agree with that, but its the mental focus and discipline and the desire to want to destroy everyone you play makes legends and Alabama no longer has that, you know Vandy is not winning that game against Saban lets be real here. MJ, Brady, Messi, Saban, I mean its been amazing watching these guys work ethic and heart. We will never see it again in our life time.
@@ericwhite7856 you can never take your opponents for granted. Especially when you reach that pinnacle like Alabama football has. Everyone wants your head. Real Dawgs get up for that type of competition. Definitely agree bro.
I mean Nick Saban never lost to Vandy, that’s just a fact. You’re missing the point. Saban preached discipline and never played down to his competition.
I feel fine with Brent. We need to fire our OC and our TE coach. Joe John has not developed or recruited tight ends well at all. Seth Litrell has made bad play calls but honestly, the players have done a terrible job at execution. Running backs don’t run to open holes. Jackson Arnold constantly making the wrong decision with RPO’s. 16 different O line groups in 4 games because of injuries. Our best 4 WRs have long extended injuries. It’s one thing if Oklahoma was healthy and looking like this. I’d be concerned. I understand you guys can’t pay attention 100% to every team but this is what Oklahoma is dealing with so it’s hard to judge them and hard to judge BV. I feel like we’re trending right though
The bad losses wouldn't have happened in a 4-team playoff bc the players would have had the hunger to win the games that this year, they didn't really have to worry about.
That's not what got Mullins fired. What got Mullen fired is he was hired specifically to run the offense and the productivity from said offense was not an acceptable levels.
Oregon doesn't have the players to compete in the B1G yet. They're not big enough on both sides of the lines. Once they recruit bigger, better, faster athletes, they'll be second tier to Ohio State. Who has some big dudes and explosive wide outs. Until then. They'll be beating up on the sisters of the poor and get bounced from the CFP in game 1 by bigger and faster athletes from the SEC..
Upsets are going to be the norm going forward. People have not really gone into detail about how much the parody has changed the game. People being shocked Bama lost to an option team has never watched Navy, Air Force, or Army play games. It happened before when there wasn't much parody. Now you have a team like Bama and they don't have a monopoly on 5 star players anymore and other teams have more talent than they've ever had and Bama has less than they had in the years past.
Ole Miss Rebels? Doesn't seem normal, for MEN playing sports. How about college team, Miss Golden Southern Eagles? Something feels very off about a team of men playing as a woman.
Bama comes back this week and wins big...Ohio State wins on the road...Texas wins...and stays # 1...but the Sooners have a chance...with a few breaks...Tennessee wins...Napier is on the way out by the end of the year...Ole Miss beats LSU...USC upsets Penn State...James Franklin is a good guy...but overated as a coach...
Actually Saban might've lost to Vandy if he stayed one more year. Everyone saying it was embarassing to lose to Vandy are gonna change their mind in a few months. Not enough people respecting Vandy yet. Wait till they beat both Georgia and Tennessee and bookmark this. This isn't your momma's Vandy and people need to stop pushing that propaganda that says it is. Bama lost to a GOOD Vandy team. Not that shocking.
With spring and fall camps teams aren't practicing against triple option scheme. Alabama probably got 2-3 practices the week before. what was different? The coaches and a qb that is s lot better than people realize. Media narratives are ridiculous. Bama fann here. Props to Diego, Vanderbilt, and Nashville.
College coaches can no longer be stern/hard on their players. Players can just transfer out whenever they feel like it now. The days of hardnosed college coaches is over with, the coaches now have to be cautious of how they treat the players, the patients now run the asylum in college.
Tennessee lost to a team who blew a big lead in Stillwater and lost to Okla St,who got pounded by KState/W Virginia,,,and Ark lost to TAM,,Ark has had 1, 9 win season(2021) ,since then,,"Sam Pittman needs to be fired,Ark is just terrible,,Nick Saban always said an ugly win is still a win,you just have to look deeper and find out what needs to improve!! The God of Coaching college football, said that!! Oregon has struggled in its first 3 games, barely winning, but yet,,theyre in top 10 and "Oregon is good, they're gonna get it figured out,,,,Lsu loses to Usc,who lost to Mich/Minn.and needed "help" to pull out a win at S Carolina, and they're "still a good football team"!????? Ala beats Georgia, Milroe throws for 370 and rushes for 112 and the critics say" just outstanding,,,BUT,,Milroe passes for 300 and team rushes for less than 100,and they Ala offense needs to change!!???? Ala defense is just doggin teams(when winning ) but,,losing to Vandy, and people say their defense sux!????
Dont know about OSU...haven't played anyone. Until these top ranked teams start playing an SEC schedule, I don't respect any of them. Same with Oregon.
Good grief. That SEC logic is so stupid. I'm from Georgia and embarrassed by the whole SEC chant. OSU is a veteran team, freaky talented, and taking care of business.
