McIntosh MC275 V6 unboxing, and first start up 

I have been Running two mono blocked also for the last 8 or 9 year. Only problem is the expense of replacing the TK-88s every couple of year. Sound Great, Look Wonderful especially with tube guard removed, and they can heat a small condo

@@danielscott1749 I have been running mine for about three years now but replaced all the original tubes with gold lions after the first year. I was wondering how often I would have to replaced the 88's. Its been two year now and haven't needed to replace anything yet. Fingers crossed, I dont listen to my stereo at loud volume mostly because of the neighbors, do you think not cranking it up prolongs the tube life? And yes they definitely keep my apartment nice and warm but I live in Alaska so its never a problem.

@@rshearn I have used Red Lion and a couple of other brands. I have found that at least 1 tube burns out with-in two years. I live in a remote area 5 hour from my dealer so at time had to mix sets/bias. Can I hear a difference between New Balanced tubes and Mixed unbalance Tubes? Not Really enough to make a difference or take away the pleasure! I use all balance XLR Cables from all sources (except turntable) to the 275s, and run the system through a MEN220. That machine is worth every penny especially if you have a listening chair, or a room with mixed (hard and soft) surfaces.

@@danielscott1749 I get you on being out in the sticks, being out in Alaska I didn't get to listen to any of the pieces I bought for my system before buying, strictly went off of reviews of other people opinions. I had a sound and look in mind and went for it. I ended up with, mcintosh c2600 for my pre-amp, mc275 Mk6 mono blocked, Tannoy Ardens, 2x Rel s812, clearaudio concept (wood) and the Lumin D2 for streaming. Got this stuffed into a small apartment lol, figured I would build the house around the stereo..why not? Lol. I did buy and extra set of all the tubs for when that day comes. So far I'm very happy the way it turned out even though I'm keeping an eye out for a pair of smaller speakers just incase the house project takes longer than expected.

Just don't cycle them all the time and they will last. 2 year at 5-8 hours a day and I'm still on my first set of tubes.

MC2301 is more powerful and have more extension. It seems to have endless power But the two are impressive and good, The MC275 is also visually a piece of art.
