McKeesport PA History - The Old 3rd Ward Gang 

The population of McKeesport peaked at around 55,000 in 1940 to around 17,000 in the last 2020 census.Much more safer and vibrant times then in McKeesport.

Great collection of clips! My great uncle was Al Duffy. My family noticed him and many of his brothers throughout the clips. All I have are pictures of them so it was great to see them walking around as they were back then.

I got to see my grandmother Julia Johnston, and 2 of my 4 uncles Web and Ollie Johnston. Spent much of my childhood there in the 50s. Thank you so much for this post.

Weird seeing an active 3rd ward, considering that 90% of homes in it have been demolished and 7% are abandoned
