Sorry, but you could get a 440 in a 69 Road Runner. Options were 383 440 426 and latter in 69 a 440 6 barrel. It was 1968 you could only get a 383 or a 426.My neighbor ordered a new 69 RR with the 440.

Sorry but no you could not get a standard 440 4-barrel in a Road Runner (1968-1970). We have FULL Chrysler documentation to prove it. Your neighbor ordered either a Sport Satellite or GTX; that, or he lied to you about the engine.

Just ordered the book from Amazon . Had to replace my frame rail on drivers side on a 70 RR . Looks to have previous collision in front and the radiator support top and bottom were cut off . Does it show which welds first to the frame rails ? Top or bottom supports ? Thanks and looks to be a great book

What would be the best book to get which details specifics like installing fenders, clips, window guides, and things like that? Bought an almost completely disassembled car that's been on a rotisserie and basically having to build from the ground up.

Yikes. I'd want to say ours but that's not true either. The exactly measurements and body spacing is something a factory manual would have.

Are there any instructions available on how to re-assembly a vent window and install it on a 64 Belvedere?

Not your specific model, but we've published a tutorial on vent window restoration at www.moparconnectionmagazine.com

Exactly! Boy, there's plenty of people who misremember otherwise though.

I absolutely cringe when people splice a new quarter panel down the body line instead of just taking the time on fitment around the sail panel and trunk opening. All the welds, grinding, hammer and dolly’s makes it extremely difficult to not get warping. All in the name of saving a few pounds of original metal? Usually it’s the amateur body guy that I noticed doing it because they’re more comfortable using fillers to cover imperfections. Most the time they don’t properly use fillers either so in five years the cracks start appearing. A body file is the most overlooked tool in sheet metal fab especially with brand new panels. It levels the ripples created by the stamping process. I love sheet metal repair! I hate bondo so I do my absolute best to keep from having to use it. It’s too bad the old restoration shop I worked for kept pushing me to do jobs too quickly. I ended up walking away because I felt i was rushed constantly and I just wanted to take pride in my work. 7 years of that, and underpaid I finally had enough. I wish I had the overhead to start my own small shop to flip one or two cars a year. I really enjoy watching these videos because it fills a void …. it’s been 5 months since I was restoring for a living but it feels like an eternity.

For sure! So much heat going to the metal is going to result in warping all the way down (if not done right). Just replicate how the factory installed them!
