When I watched the first draft of this film all those weeks ago it hit me so hard that I felt like I couldn't even breathe. I felt that you had understood something about me that nobody else before had understood, and you'd captured it on film so perfectly. This film is me and everything I am, all rolled into one beautiful stunning little package, and it's the most generous gift anyone has ever given to me. I hope this film helps people, I hope it makes them feel empowered and strong, I hope it touches them in the same way it touches me, because this film isn't just about me, it's about the whole LGBT+ community, it's about all of us x

+Calum McSwiggan You are a true inspiration. I am a 51 yr old male in the USA and have struggled with mental health issues for over 1/2 my life. I am also bi-sexual and have been struggling with those feelings as well. My first wife was really discouraging when it came to LGBT issues. My current wife is totally accepting of my sexuality. I enjoy your RU-vid channel. Keep on keeping on and thanks for sharing your story.

+Calum McSwiggan This is a lovely film about a beautiful person.. I understand how you felt with depression.. It is how, just about 4-5 weeks ago, I felt about life. I didn't want to kill myself but just not exist anymore.. I came up with 3 reasons not to.. My children, my grandchildren and the fact that my parents had lost their youngest child (just 5 years ago) and I couldn't have them loose another.. I am still struggling to keep it together.. This film is like a snapshot of your life (or part of your life),. Calum, you are an inspiration to so many, including this older straight grandmother.. You are someone who cares, someone who informs and someone who teaches.. You are an asset to this world.. This world needs people like you.. And I think this film shows how the man you are today was formed.. Thank you Fraser and Calum for this insight into the man who is Calum McSwiggan..

+Calum McSwiggan I remember your initial response. That was when I knew we had captured something amazing, and you had opened up to show the world. Your reaction, made my reaction even stronger! I hope this helps people's lives for the better. It was a joy making this film, and I still tear up towards the end. I don't really want it to end. Can't wait to see you again in July for many more fun happy times :)

I'm almost speechless.. This has me feeling about 800 emotions all at the same time. I knew it would be good.. But it's not just good, it's an absolutely stunning and amazing look into the life of someone I feel has become a huge part of my life, even if we've never met.. I don't know if Calum will see these comments as well, but I want him to know he's loved and treasured by so many of us now. Fraser, you have a gift.. I can't believe how amazing this film turned out, and I just want to hug both of you!

You're incredible.. There's something intangible in your vids that just pulls you in. I'm not usually one for waterworks with films of any type, but they turned on for a bit with this one! I honestly hope that you'll make films like this forever.. A true artist often has lots of self doubt, but never let it get in your way 💜

Listening to the terrible things that happened to you at your post office job brought a tear to my eye, I wanted you to step out of my laptop so I could give you a hug. It also made me very angry that any human being could do that to another, just because he was gay. I've watched your vlogs for about a year and a half now and the one thing that has always impressed me about you Calum, YOU are such a GREAT PERSON who really does care about other people. I'm so glad that you didn't end your life, because this world, our world needs and is in desperate need of more people just like you, people that DO CARE and are prepared to do something about it. With more people like YOU we can change this world, YOU inspire people like me to treat others with more thought and care. This Documentary is an excellent film which, hopefully, will inspire more "Calum McSwiggan's to come out and be their true selves. One other thing I loved about this film, it showed off that Beautiful smile of yours, a smile you should show more often. Lots of LOVE Calum and keep up the fight. John, in Yorkshire.

The clip with v-squared gets me every time. This was amazing it had me to tears. I love calum with all my heart and it makes me so happy to personally hear why he goes through the efforts he does for his RU-vid channel. Calum you're amazing and I wish you the best in your future endeavors. And I have to say, even though I'm have a welcoming and accepting family and friends, I was terrified to come out because there were one or two homophobic people at my school and because of you I was able to come out and meet my amazing (now ex) girlfriend. I've learned so much from calum. I'm the Vice President of my schools LGBT+ club and every week I mention something said is a video that has been done by calum. I appreciate everything you do for us and for yourself. Stay amazing :)

Fraser- WOW! I am speechless. A million thoughts running thru my head, but I cannot express them. This was a WONDERFUL video! Thank you for making it, with Calum. I went thru those feelings years ago, but haven ow accepted myself, although I am still in the closet. I am SO GLAD that today is so different than it was years ago, although as Calum says, there is still homophobia in this world. I wish the best for all of you younger guys, that you may live free! Hugs-

Because of personal events swirling about me, I am coming to this late, way late (more than four days) after it was posted. I feel there are no superlatives sufficient to describe how wonderful I think this small film is. Carried by gorgeous photography and brilliant editing, we encounter something even more wondrous: the beautiful soul that is Calum McSwiggan. Those of us who have followed his channel on RU-vid for any considerable time now get to see a depth and breadth of this remarkable person I feel we wouldn't get to see any other way. I found myself crying at the end, not from sadness but from the sheer joy of that revelation. And how the hell did you do that under-the-plane shot??!! Brilliant, Fraser and Calum! Simply brilliant. Bravo!

I'm so glad to have watched your work, Mr. Green. Even though your subject's age and mine are quite far apart, the telling of the tale of one's depression and it's effect, is ageless. I too have felt as though I'd just like to jump off the balcony, quite literally as a matter of fact, but didn't, obviously. Calum has it right. Human beings are, "built to survive". Something inside all of us, gets us to not self-destruct, if we're lucky. Listening to that voice in our head, that reminds us of our worth to others and ourselves, when all around us is negative, is what Calum heard. Aren't we all the luckier for it. And of course to you, Mr. Green, with your marvelous talents of storytelling, and writing. I'm sure we'll all hear a lot more of you, in the future. Superb. Simply superb, sir!

Don't let anything put u down Callum u are a great man and don't let anyone tell u other wise... Such a great film with great editing well done ... Love you both ❤️❤️💖💖

You really are a very special young man Calum. I am so glad they asked you to do this video, it is inspirational. When you described the emptiness, it brought back what I had felt at times in my life. One day I started out my day normally, and while driving to work something switched in my brain. I turned the car around and drove home. I took out all the pills I had from having a bad back and put them all out on the counter and stared at them for the longest time. Something inside of me decided not to go through with it and now some 25 years later I am in a relationship where love actually exist, instead of just two men cohabitating together. I pray that you find that special person who values and loves you for you, including your quirks, (that is if you have any). I am very happy for you and what you have accomplished in spite of the hardships you have had to endure. You are someone I could call my friend. Thanks buddy

I can't begin to tell you how much I needed this film right now. It's such a small thing but hearing someone I adore (Callum) talking about feeling how I feel right now, and talking about doing things I do rn, but using past tense makes me feel slightly more okay. Something about Callum has always resonated with me, I've always felt happiness in his videos. And it's not until now that I realise me(nearly 19 currently, in a small ish town, not out, and dreaming of suicide on various occasions) has something deeper with Callum. Thank you so fucking much for creating this. And thank you so much Callum for sharing this. It gives little depressed gays like me something to look forward to and something to aspire to and something to stay here for. I know I've said it loads of times in this comment but all I want to say is thank you. And if I see you at London pride this year Callum I'm going to hug you so tight if you'll allow me! Thank you. This video WILL save lives.

You are a very, very creative human being, Calum and I'm incredibly happy that i once found your RU-vid channel. Fraser's documentary itself is so well done! Great Documentary Fraser. I love watching people use their creativity and talent towards those things in life that are truly worthwhile, and that is the healing that so many need. I'm sure your documentary has had quite an impact. Keep up the good work!

This video contains so many important messages. You need to realize that you value and that you should always be able to pursue your happiness. You should never be ashamed of who you are. You should be proud of yourself for you are unique and special. Ignore people controlling the life you live. This is seriously an important video. Both of you did such an amazing job. 😉😊 It's also impressive how far you've come and what you've done to pursue your dreams Calum.

One of the best and most well deserved likes I've given on RU-vid. Totally emotional, hard hitting and yet by the end, inspirational. Creatively really well put together, and to see Calum in such an overarching way, seeing his journey from on high like that really hit home. Great work guys :) such a powerful message.
