I never knew MCV was Egyptian! Interesting

MCV buses is made for very hard work conditions ,its also work in Alexandria as a double but with open roof 👍

Whereas in Cairo their buses are from elsewhere! Perhaps the Egyptian government could strike a deal to have them running on Cairo streets too and be proud of their citizens input into Londons iconic buses. Perhaps in the adverts by TFL there could be images of skilled Egyptian workers holding up signs saying 'I helped build this bus'

Here in the UK, the most popular bodywork is made by MCV and Alexander Dennis. From Alexander Dennis, the popular choice is the Enviro 400 ( Hybrid), a specially designed body style for Hybrid buses. The Enviro 400 is the bodywork for double decker buses. I also love MCV. I have spotted Stagecoach with the MCV Body. Bus manufacturer is Volvo.... If you come to UK, you will see Volvos rolling on the streets...

Excellent very interesting video, I’m sure there must be many people in London that don’t realize their buses are made in Egypt 🇪🇬 I traveled on the single deck evolution model regularly a few years ago. I found it quite a pleasant bus in service.

Have that same bus on the 317 at Enfield Town to Waltham Cross, to me it’s just another box on four wheels, and gets me from A to Z.

Seems strange that we'd have our buses built on practically the other side of the world and then have to be shipped over. That seems like the cost would be higher, especially with the potential for damage during transportation. Wages must be very low over there.

Not all London buses are built in Egypt some are built in Scarborough UK and some are built in Ireland and a few in China

I would have thought all the destination blinds, sign writing and oyster card stickers would have been fitted at PDI in London, I know the BYD double deckers are delivered almost bare

Much as I am not comfortable asking the depot why they stopped running the London Suburban Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX and Gardner 6LXC Diesel Engine Olympian ECW’s on routes N26, 30, 121, 230, 271, 349, N279 And 158 why can’t we make the same make of the Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX and Gardner 6LXC Diesel Engine Olympian ECW Buses but Modernise the insides of these Buses. Also, make it low floor up and down and also extend the middle body part of these vehicles a little bit more so there will be more space for the wheelchair users. By the way, if you could remake and Modernise these vehicles could they also make them into a Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX and Gardner 6LXC Diesel Engine Olympian ECW Version’s that if it will be possible and Modernise the insides of these Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX and Gardner 6LXC Diesel Engine Olympian ECW’s make it low floor up and down and also extend the middle body part of these vehicles a little bit more so there will be more space and even a London Suburban Scania N230UD Enviro 400 MMC and also extend the middle body part of these vehicles a little bit more. Bus travel is meant to be cheaper than car travel, or at least equal max. "Modern" British transport is a rip-off. Government should be reprimanded.

Sorry but the MCV has to be one of the worst quality built buses Ive ridden on. Bits and bobs falling off, extremely plastic the hardest smallest seats, poor legroom. Looks like the interior is 3D printed!
