Thank you so much for this video! I am trying to build a "built-in" cabinet in my office closet and this video gave me so much clarity on how to plan. Also using the dowels for reinforced screw holes is genius. Probably adds years and years of life to the piece. Thank you!
Hello RJ, I rarely work with MDF, but I will be sure to remember your tip with the dowels for use with fasteners. It's always rewarding to make something for the nonpaying customers at home, isn't it? 😃
MDF can have a bad rep but for affordable projects that are going to be painted they can come out pretty awesome and it is very easy to cut. With good techniques like you demonstrated then projects can come out fairly strong. Very nice end result and a wardrobe your daughter can be proud of!
@@RJsShedShop Very true! I am finishing a MDF screen riser at the moment for a desk. The surface is starting to feel smooth as glass and it shines like a new car! It does take time and patience to get a great finish but its worth it
Brother, I really appreciate this video. It's very well done and resonated with me...thank you! Your subtle humour and references to the "little boss" had me smiling throughout. Looking forward to more from you sir.
Maan, you're awesome! Really nice skill level and an amazing sense of humor. And I'm currently in the middle of solving a similar task - going to redo the in-wall closet for my daughter. Great video - thank you from Montreal!
Thanks heaps. I am new to the whole woodworking and video editing thing I think plans will be some time away. Most plans are in my head and that is a mess lol.
The dowel additions for taking screws is a good idea,,I too do not really touch mdf , do not like the stuff. Seems to look okay for a while but things can go wrong after a while. Its like material used not to last and look great for a short while
Hi RJ, Enoyed your video as always! I've been curious about those depth gauges like the one you were using. Who makes that one and any comments about it. Thanks Tom Taipan Woodworks
