Absolutely right! I just started operating a Raymond lift truck (identical to hers in the video) and I'm no pro, but I feel myself getting better. I'm just gradually pacing myself. It's a cool machine to operate.
Why are we so high and mighty and proud to be vets on this machine 😂 she did fine and will get better with time. In 6 months you’ll see a huge difference
She pushed the pallet back, risking the pallet behind and potentially damaging the racking. 7 yrs on these, never a camera, its all done with feel. @abdelalimalfar2633
Wide aisles. Operators dream. Ran a Drexel for years in the tightest aisles. Barely enough room to get off the machine. Full pallets of paper, soda, up on the third rack. Fun times!
Hear ya! We ran racks at full height, double deep, bloody -25°c Learned real quick to pull out container loads. Could be wrong but is this single racking, looks like load wheels won't fit under racking?
Don't listen to what anyone says find your own way of doing the job the faster you go the faster accidents happen as someone said they won't remember how fast you are but they'll for sure remember the fucks up you've made
@@BitsofSkinexactly thank you! And she taking way to long to aline herself . A good driver (like me) will have the forks already up as soon as im turning into the pallet
@@BitsofSkinShe's Human, she isn't perfect just like you aren't. Everyone pushes a pallet sometimes and considering the height She's picking from. Fucking idiot talk!
Eyeballing sucks when you are just starting out but where I work i have had to train myself to eyeball everything and I pick and putaway pallets just eyeballing the racks really fast👍
At my job we have the cameras to but only some have it but when I would jump back and forth on two ones that had cameras in ones that didn't, our minds grow dependent on those cameras and lasers but when you visualize what you are doing your mind is dependent on what your eyes can see... Mind over matter
Ignore the haters and the guys claiming to be level 10 forklift ninjas. I've been at this for a while and I think, with some more time at the controls, you'll be a fine operator. Just stay safe, work on getting smooth, and let the speed come naturally. I'd be happy to have you as a trainee ESPECIALLY if this was your first day.
I think youre trying to rush. Plus, you seem very tense. The controlls were jerky and inconsistent. You selected the wrong controlls a twice. Don't forget your observations too! Its not easy, especially when you start out. Its very daunting. Well done and be safe always! 😁
@@GlocKkandchillI just started driving forklifts and other machines and it is honestly easier than driving a car. I make rate easy af, it’s just a job some people can and cannot do.
Good effort. However, you can cut your spacing in half. If you are working in a freezer you will have an issue with how you are doing it. Position the forklift towards the middle of the lane. Raise your forks so they are ready to grab the pallet. Swing the forklift around and go into the pallet. This will give you more room to take the load and swing back out as you lower to the ground.
one thing i noticed when training on these is remember you’re getting payed by the hour. take your time the motions and movements will be come second nature to what you do everyday.
Good job. When I train I say tips in before you extend. Also up top pro tip. U can see a slight reflections on the pallet. Before tips going in. Keep it smooth
Every time I watch a forklift video I remember that one video where the guy brought down the entire warehouse by accident. He is basically fucked for life. Be careful on the job
Very well done. Try not to lift the pallet so high. If you position the forks a certain way all you gotta do is tilt all the way back and the pallet will raise enough to get it off the shelf
I ran an earlier model, didn't like this one . Did 40 plus years and hated to constant noise. Think how many times you ran it up, lift banging like a blacksmith shop travelling to next stop fast as you can, radio blasting on pa system, other lifts running and constantly under the gun for production. Good job but I got to where I cherish quiet time.
Wait till you work in an incentive based environtment, those forks are already up by the time you hit the slot and lowered back down before you leave the isle.
Once I used a crown deep reach the controllers was kind of complicated, until I test drive the Raymond deep reach it’s a good lift truck and took a high small tier pallet way up 30 to 40 feet. I try not to make hard turns or it’ll tip and fall to the side that’s the scary part of the job when operating a reach truck
if you reach out before driving in you wont have to be looking top and bottom and you will only get the momentum of the mast if you touch the pallet rather than the trucks weight by driving in first
Forks weren’t properly leveled, and you shouldn’t just ram them in like that. You can see you moved the whole pallet. You potentially could have taken down that rack if it was crappy enough.
Don't stress too much. It gets easier with time. Try to go superfast, that's how you fuck up. Good job! In just a couple of years, you'll be fluid, and fast as grease lightning.
What is the point of a reach truck here? I thought they were made for going deep into racks. What this person is doing could be done with any stand-up lift simply by pulling all the way into the skid.
Muchos errores. Primero al momento de coger una paleta desde lo alto necesitas inclinarlo para poner el peso hacia atras y no para adelante (esto puede hacer que el forklift se vaya para adelante y te laastimes seriamente).
Those newer Raymond reach trucks have crazy fast lift. I think it's adjustable, but I'm just an operator not a mechanic. I do know that it took me a little time (like an hour into my shift) to get used to the lift speed and the loose steering. Once I got used to it, tho, I really love how fast that fucker lifts to upper level bays!
Just got all my licenses officially a couple weeks ago (OP , Fork , and Reach) and patience and planning is they key 🙌🏾 keep doing what you do sis frfr I work in lumber at HD in the "ghetto" store 🤣 shit get stressful when a crackhead customer yelling "hurry up mf "wish our shit was quiet like that she killed this shit 💯 inspo
Fuck off with your brag. Post a video and a link to it. This lady was Day One on the job and doing just fine. Why don't you say something constructive or just STFU.
I kinda miss driving reach trucks. Although they aint fun when the motor goes up in smoke. Smells horrible. Keep driving and maybe you can get up to how good i was.
@@onaydaleyva747 if that was your first day, you killed it! Just take your time and work on being smooth. The speed will come. But you handle yourself well.
