Absolutely fantastic perhaps we should all take a life lesson from this episode, a mistake isn't a fail it's an opportunity to change things and perhaps improve them. Another fantastic piece Marion, tremendously inspiring ❤😊
Absolutely! I think, although it was annoying to realise the next day that I'd done that, I immediately just started to think my way around it. It engaged my brain's creative muscles. I think that a mistake really is just an opportunity to move forward in another way and it's how we learn to do better.
@@marionsworld24 would you be so kind as to put a link to where you buy your bonding material and the brand please, I'm wanting to give a fabric book ago but I'm not sure where to or what brand of bonding to buy 😇🙂
Are you in the UK? Here it's called Bondaweb. Mostly available in fabric shops by the metre and also in places like Boyes. Otherwise it's known as Vlieseline. It's important that it's bondable on both sides. www.amazon.co.uk/Meter-Vlieseline-Interfacing-Appliques-Patchwork/dp/B07FTN3S31/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?keywords=fusible+web&qid=1694769545&sr=8-4
Wow, that was so interesting! I’m so grateful to you for sharing your process when there’s a mistake to fix. I really am learning so much from you! Thank you!! ❤
Once again Marion, another beautiful page! The last minute change covering the writing, wow! I would not even have known it was to cover a mistake if you hadn’t told us! It looks as if it was meant to be there from the beginning. Thank you for taking us along!
Another pretty page for your book, I loved watching how this took shape and how you got around correcting something you weren’t happy with. I think it looks fabulous
Hopefully the mistake bits are where there's good opportunity for showing that things aren't ruined. No need to give up or throw something away. Just move it forward the best you can..😊
Well, what's the worst that can happen? It goes wrong, you have to sort it out, and you end up with something better than you originally thought of. Plus you got your brain to have a creative workout 😂
Thanks Carol. You'll have to give Hapazome a try. Just experiment with some different leaves and flowers. Some work better than others, but I just say go for it and see what happens!😊
Oh the lovely Cranesbill family are super plants. There are many wild ones ...and even more cultivated varieties. The one dear to my heart though, will always be the wild meadow cranesbill. It's so effortlessly beautiful!💕
Sometimes, the boo-boos end up being a sweet surprise. What a genius problem- solver you are. I am so humbled, Marion - you never take the short cut, easy way out and it is so worth all the work.
I always think to just keep moving forward... Taking things out is so bothersome to me. I'd rather think of a mistake as an opportunity to think and find another way... Thank you for watching 💐
Lovely flowers! Also loved the final result of having to “fix” the written words. The banner turned out even more harmonious and balancing the colors of the flowers. Thanks for another wonderful project and inspiration
Thank you dear Marion for sharing your creative endeavours. And your artistic layering (no such thing as mistakes in creative pursuits) is even better than the original plan. Cheers, Christine
Marion , that is absolutely beautiful. You are a genius , adapting and altering your work to that very pretty final piece . I always feel inspired to try something new after watching you. Oh, and you will soon reach 1500 subscribers 😊
I love to hear that you've been inspired to try something different Jane. Whenever I see something I haven't done before I always want to try it out... immediately! 😂 It's amazed me how my little channel is growing too. Thanks to you and everyone who is enjoying what I'm doing..💐
This page is very nice with different techniques. I recall this flower being also called wild geranium here. I used to be very interested in perennial flowers and attended the county’s master gardener’s garden walk every year. It’s always in August which is too dang hot for me. I would take a ton of pictures that I still have. I recall seeing the cranesbill. I may have planted some that didn’t survive. That happens. I so enjoy your videos. I’m inspired by you every time. 💜💜💜
It is never a mistake, when you can make a better, more beautiful page. Great idea to use the flowers and leaves this way. I think I have seen all your videos now, this one is just 1 day later then you put it on you tube. 😃
My goodness Marjan. Thank you for catching up on them all. It's probably a good job that I haven't been going for long! Months rather than years.... Happy stitching to you 😊🪡🧵
@@marionsworld24 Some people I follow for many years, and when I have some time, I look the older videos. When people start they usely make short videos. Happy weekend.
Wonderful page Marion. I know if I had made a similar "mistake" I wouldn't have had the clarity of mind to fix it how you did! The air would have been blue with cursing and the page may not have been used! I shall have to channel my inner Marion in future! Best wishes as always.
Crikey... 😅 I don't think I ever give up on something just because of a mistake. After the initial annoyance I just turn it into an opportunity to problem solve and get creative... Just move it forward..😊 Happy stitching Rachel 🪡🧵
Just a beautiful fix for that mistake! Imagine if you hadn’t made the boo-boo, you wouldn’t have had that extra splash of color and interest! Beautiful page ❤
'Better to live in a way that inspires rejoicing' is a quote from book my friend was reading as I stitched while we had coffee together today. I thought it was just lovely
So clever, the way you saved your page! It turned out just lovely. Could you comment please on the pen you are using for the lettering? It seems to not bleed into the fibres, which is a problem I have run into sometimes. Have a wonderful time away!
Thanks Fran. I'm using a Staedtler fine liner with a 0.5 point. I do sometimes use a fine Sharpie, but only if I don't need the line to be super thin. I find the Sharpie bleeds somewhat.
It's the Readers Digest Field Guide to the Wild Flowers of Britain. I should think you'll be able to find a second hand copy.. There's a whole series. I have the Trees and Shrubs one as well as the British Birds too.
