woops. Fixed it. You can actually eat so much beetroot that it changes the colour of your poop. This was an interesting and alarming discovery I made a few months ago.

What Mike does is actually what I do every night for the next day, one day our meal prep. Much easier than doing a week’s worth and figuring out how to divide it all to get what you need. Plus they say measuring stuff in its precooked phase is the most correct. Thanks, Mike!

Hey Mike, pro tip... take that 1 calorie spray and spray it on to the spoon just before you pour the honey onto it and the honey will slide right off the spoon with no mess. Cheers! Great video

Just one spit of honey for that entire bowl of oats? If it were me, I'd use like 2 or 3 spits of honey. If you like flavor, you should measure your spices like that as well. Just use like 3 or 4 spits cayenne and a couple spits of garlic powder and your good.

If you put a lid on the frying pan your protein gets ready faster. It's ideal to cook/steam your vegetables with the water already boiling (to avoid overcooking It, thus, losing a lot ot its vitamins and minerals). You leave them in for 3 minutes. Take out and put them in icy water right away to preserve the nutrients. Spread the rice nice and flat in the pot. Water should be 1.5 inch above the rice. Gonna go cook now. Got hungry watching this.

Worrying about nutrient loss from cooked vegetables is similar to worrying about water loss when you take a piss. Don't overcook anything, don't overthink your food - I'll also add that eating raw vegetables has "nutrient loss" too because it's not bio available and you just shit it out anyway. Gotta pick your battles

I dont like week old microwaved food either, so what i do is I take about 15 minutes to chop and portion the entire weeks worth of chicken. I then put every serving in a ziplock bag and then all the ziplock bags into a tupperware container. I also buy frozen steamable vegetable packs. Every night i take what im going to use for the next day out of the freezer and put it in the fridge so it can thaw overnight. Everything is pre portioned and ready to be cooked whenever i need it.

Some tips.. either spray some oil on the spoon or put in boiling water (since you don't use gas), and put a lid on the turkey so it cooks quicker. Great video!

If you meal prep just for one day, the whole point of meal prepping is lost in my opinion. Why prep it for tomorrow when it's cold, instead of eating it right after you're done making it? "I'll eat what I made yesterday, but I still got to make food for tomorrow." Great video, but meal prepping takes time no matter what, people just have to learn to deal with it.

Okay, that was fun to watch but I wouldn't let you in my kitchen:) Here's a couple of ideas. Sweet potatoes - take a sweet potato, poke holes all over it with a fork, put it in the micro for about 3:30 minutes (varies on size and microwave power). When the micro dings, flip the potatoes over and zap another 3:30. When the micro dings the second time, take a clean dishcloth and wrap around the potato and firmly roll it in your hands while squeezing. You can feel the inside separating from the outside skin but don't squeeze so hard as to make it into mashed potatoes. Put back in and zap another 3:30 minutes and voila - just like a baked sweet potato but in less time than it took to make the rice. There are countless variations on this theme online. Some folks brush some oil on and toss on cinnamon or wrap in a paper towel, etc. But I just do it plain. Almond milk - you can make your own almond milk (without the extra ingredients like emulsifiers, gums, etc.) with nothing more than your blender, almonds, water, and a cheesecloth. You could add any sweetener if you wanted to or omit. The verdict is pretty unanimous that homemade tastes better, richer, etc. And you can use other nuts instead of almonds like hazelnuts or cashews. Again, countless videos online.

Hey Mike, absolutely love the vids man keep em coming. Quick question, I weigh around 14 stone with about 15% ish body fat - I did a 2-2500 calorie cut for 3 days, jumped back on the scales and lost almost half a stone! Any advice? I'm a bit anxious to lose muscle so i've jumped back on a mini bulk :(

This is why I always think 2 days of meal prep Monday prepped till Thursday then Thursday prepped till Sunday for the week 1 hr each (including washing up) is always the best way to go.

If you want to get your rice perfect, put some in a cup, and then do double the amount of water. So if you do a half cup of rice. Do a whole cup of water and that will be the perfect amount

50 ml of rice to 130 ml of water I've found is the perfect amount. No need to drain and the rice is not burned or soggy.

well, my daily meal is: 4 eggs in the morning with bread, after few houres oat mash with mixet nuts, lunch two chicken breast ( 500G) rice, and vegetables. 20 min before gym bread and peanut butter plus preworkout. gym water water water, after gym protein shake two scoups, some chicken, maybe cottage chease and yogurt. dont know how much calories, but I know Its not bad amount of PROTEINS to build muscles ( around 250-260 g) and not too much carbs. Non gym days I eat less. my weight 88 kg
