Viktor Frankl similarly said that man's real aspiration is not a will to power but a will to meaning. Frankl had seen the Nazis subjugate individuals in the name of the State. You cannot achieve self worth as a drone enslaved to a collective no matter how apparently beneficial it may claim to be.

What about the social credit system in China, where a human cannot act as an individual. Could this go worldwide through the CBDC (central bank digital currency).

But we are tribal beings acting as hive minds....we don't even know what we're doing with technology but we're all worker bees doing snthg

@@oliverbird6914 Even Been act individually, if you've ever startled one or seen their scouts "dance" to tell the hive where the best pickings can be found. Working as a group for common goals is in our DNA, but as Shakespeare wrote, "Every subject's duty is the King's; but every subject's soul is his own."

Absolutely. Communal thoughts are core of a person for the cause existence. Whatever educated or uneducated the community is, it will always exist. Not only human, its totally applicable to all other species.

It's a loaded question, the individual is not sacrificed as a necessity to communal good, quite the opposite. Jung is correct, but here does not address the loaded aspect of the interviewers brain wrong.

Not sure what he means. I think that he is favoring not becoming part of a collective, and that he is critical of it. The unconscious is different and separate from a conscious social model, regardless of whether it is collective or not. Again not sure what he means. Of course he’s far ahead of anyone around even now. His response here I would like to know carefully

He’s saying that with the uprising of people who were more or less searching for their own answers and consequently in trouble in finding none- That is a sign of an oncoming “reaction” as he puts it from society(ies).. I would suppose in the form of a collective pivotal moment from a old common mindset. For a long time religion gave us answers, after that dwindled and independent thinking became much more propellant, so did its ‘adversities’ (in only finding meaninglessness, the absurdity of it all etc) at the core of the experience he’d observed in people this and, this way is how we do live in post-modernity - However he is being more optimistic than I comprehend, I think.

I mean I’m not a scholar, nor do I feel as interestedly) positive about these kinds of poignant facts as I said ( and well maybe thats age difference / desensitization & the overall intelligence gap between me and Dr Jung I guess. As well as this was so much more original at his time, more-so psychological conjecture then than it is today.) - Especially while they subsumed into our connected and overpopulated time, but without the reflection made very practical but, rather us (now) showing more disdain for our history too much so for Jung to be as ‘useful’ in his most crucial practical sense ahead of his brilliant observations, and prescience like this .. I’m not saying he is overlooked, fuuck no, but I don’t see much of what he said in-practice (as in first hand experience with health care systems / in more of my own experiences besides, etc, agn- not in school of course. I’m sure he is constantly being spoken about in every university. Which stupefies my opinion a bit, but go try to find individuation therapy even injected in much modern psychological treatment. Let alone literally anything else. It’s left known. While other concepts concerning how the physician behaves, I would guess, are more delivered & lesson’s somewhat derivative.) for sake of assuming I understood properly myself, (which I think I do/did) No problem! *seeing how much I went up in the air I should mention I also wrote this reply while really high, might be way stupid af

When we are searching everything In the outside world, we are confused, by the their confusion, when we search within our own thoughts we don't lie to ourself in our truth of who we are, this is where we are our own judgement that we either agree with or we regret, both lessons from our truth on who we are is the only way to learn repent and to make sure we don't sin again or have others sin aganist us by others, God is wisdom and wisdom is God it can not be taught it drops into us from heaven.

@@AS-010o0he definitely is wrong. This is a sign of his own times. If Jung saw the technology we have today, he would certainly hold different views and opinions. Individuality as a concept arises from evolution and our need to survive. Egos mainly cause the modern man suffering and pain. As the human animal co-evolves with technology, we will lose the need for our prior survival mechanisms, and we will adapt to survive in the technological world. Many futurists theorize that there will come something of a ‘singularity’ of consciousness. At the end of the day, there is only one mind. Jung says that collectivism dissociates the individual, but in reality the individual is a dissociation of the universal mind. The mind that contains all the information of the universe. This mind is fractured and dissociated and this manifests as humans going to war with one another, hurting each other, etc. Even though we are all of the same mind.
