In tribute to Michael (born Marvin) Lee Aday's collaborative work with recently-passed Jim Steinman.
Late Night:
1. August 12, 1982. Chat with Dave. Film footage deleted due to copyright caution.
For the complete performance, go here: • Wembley 1982 | Bat Out...
Late Show:
2. November 19, 1993. "Life Is a Lemon and I Want My Money Back."
3. March 1, 1994. "Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through" and chat with Dave.
4. November 16, 1995. "I'd Lie For You (and That's the Truth)" and show-closing chat with Dave.
5. September 15, 1999. "Lawyers, Guns and Money" and chat with Dave.
6. April 27, 2011. Cameo: Guest Judge for "Is This Anything."
Fun fact: Meat Loaf first met Jim Steinman in the April 1973 workshop musical theater production "More Than You Deserve." It ran in Previews at the Public Theatre in New York City, beginning on November 23, 1973. It finally opened on January 3, 1974, and lasted for a week.
Playing the piano during the show's rehearsals and serving as Piano/Conductor Steve Margoshes' assistant was a recent transplant from Canada named Paul Shaffer.
(Probably why Meat Loaf greeted Paul before sitting down with Dave in the 1982 appearance.)
(Among the cast besides Meat Loaf were Fred Gwynne, Mary Beth Hurt, Steve Collins, and Graham Jarvis and Kim Milford, both of whom would join the original cast of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" in L.A. )

Meatloaf is the rock star that wasn’t meant to be. No one was looking for a fat guy guy who sang operatic rock with a frilly shirt and a handkerchief. But his talent made him undeniable.

I didn't know meatloaf personally. He was a member of a exclusive country club I worked at in the mid 90s. I can say, everytime he came by he would have a conversation with me. What made his conversations different from other members. Meatloaf was always genuine in conversation, it was never a formality. He enjoyed the conversations and he listened just as much as he spoke. I always felt meatloaf was my favorite member of that country club. He was such a good person. Thank you for the memories, condolences to his wonderful family.

Reasons why I loved ML. He was so authentic, unapologetic. He spoke his mind. But yet was very authentic and showed his flaws. In other words he was as real as they get. The man walked around with his heart in his hand. Much love to him and his loved ones. 🥰😍❤️

@@teo5836 Don't be so haughty. Theologians interpret it differently. Some say we go straight to Heaven, others say we lay in the grave until the second coming of Christ. I side with the theologians that say we go straight to Heaven. But frankly, it's not a big deal. What matters is the gospel. So instead of being self-righteous, share the gospel that saves.
@teo5836
@teo5836 2 года назад
@@TheMidnightModder there’s no misinterpreting “The living know that they will die but the dead know not anything”. That means when we die we aren’t CONSCIOUS. So what theologians are you talking about? You should side with plain scripture. And read scripture in context and consider the Hebrew or the Greek.

The more I saw the more I felt like I knew him. I discovered something about him that touched my heart even more. The man sings with passion and he can sing just about anything. Love him. @@debmcpartland9528 I’ve read everything I can find on this great man. In 1st interview here he adjusted ring on his left hand then put hand on the desk facing front as if he were showing it off. Made me think he was so happy to have met and married Leslie. Just a quick gesture but a “tell”, very endearing. At least 22 years together. Once he said him being workaholic was a problem.
