Its time we get a tank mech. Too many aggressive mechs that kill fast and die fast, now even stalker. We have only 3 pure tanks, and need another slow mech. A cool idea would be a mech that can put down a bubble shield or reduce incoming damage of itself and its allies in a radius. EDIT: HOLD UP THEY ACTUALLY MADE IT. AEGIS, AEGIS DOES EXACTLY WHAT I HAD IN MIND. Glad i inspired you mech arena!
To be honest, the real threats are 1.shadow with a high upgraded shotgun, because by the time you use the zephyr's ability and the shadow is out of it's range, he will run at the back of the zephyr and shoot you with it's shotgun so be aware of the shadow The 2nd one's are mech's With Racks Because it can Destroy Zephyr in no time, and the last one is killshot, it's like shadow but if equip wiith missile rack, be aware and if equip with long range weapons or if you are not aware of the mech you will die. So the thing about using zephyr, is to be aware of your surroundings and always Kill the killshot first because it's more scary than zephyr, to be honest
I had the same first impressions about the Zephyr, now that i have him I feel like a slaughter house especially with the missile racks equipped. I have no regrets buying the Zephyr. Conclusion? You should get Zephyr in your hangar though you still have to be worried around your surroundings since Cheetah mines can kill you if the mine is behind you, other Zephyrs, and snipers, javelin rackers, and artillery mechs can kill you if you don't spot them quickly.
Actually guardian isn't a threat to zypher unless your zypher has on Mr8, I use arc on my zypher so when I get system crash it only last 2 seconds cause as soon as my weapons come back, so does my my shock pulse 🤣
That works on certain maps but not all. Some maps are designed for UP CLOSE fighting so the strategy you recommend, will not work. Also, the Z skill goes through walls and floors so, again, that strategy, though a good one, only works on very specific maps.

Now what can I say about. 1-Guardian isn't exactly a great treat to Zephyr, Guardian's System Crahs is an ability that works in a cone whereas Zephyr EMP Shock works in a radious, this means Zephyr can hit anything in a 30 spherical radious so Zephyr has an advantage there because is way easier to get the drop on a Guardian wich is ALSO really slow, a Zephyr can easily out manuver a Guardian an can also kill from distance with the right loadout. Also, is funny they say thag Zeohyr is not small. Zephyr is actually one of the smallest mechs in the game, is the same size of a Shadow and a Lancer, this means Zephyr can take cover almost anywhere wich also make easier for it to make ambushes. The most treat Guardian pose for a Zephyr is that System Crash removes negative status from allies so it can Unfreeze those targets you have paralized, wich is an important detail that they forgot to mention. Guardian's System Crash removes any negative status effect from allies and enemy drops like, Thermal Lance and Longarm Burn effect (The one that increase the damage you take) Stasis Bean and Panther barrier Slow down, Cheetha's land mines, Redox Caustic Blast, Arachnos Turrets and yes it can remove Zephyr's EMP. So for those who use gardian the best you can do is save your System Crash to unfreeze any of your team mate shall they be hit by an EMP Blast. 2-Loadouts I recomend with Zephyr: Dual Missile Rack: No brainer Busrt Damage whether you shoot from close range or targets that are affar and the ability to prove occasional support fire to targets from mediun range whe it is needed. Dual Disck Launcher: Deal damage fast enought to minimaze exposure and it's unique ability will allow you to fire from practically behind cover, it doesn't compromise your ability to make devastating ambushes. Dual Shotgun 8: Not exactly recomended in open map with little cover areas that are far in between, is basically the same as Missile Rack with the plus that you can hit several targets with wide cone of the shotgun allowing you to take multikills easily and maximize the potential of your ambushes but you sacrifice range of course but the ability to control your burst of damage and shorter reload time makes up for it. Arc Turrent: Constant reload, self explanatory. Carbine: No brainer 3- Pulse Cannons: I only recomend this loadout if you have your Pulse Cannon 8 with 4 starts or more (Idealy more) Pulse Cannons deal huge amount of damage but they don't deal that damage exactly fast, 4 stars is the minimun to deal damage fast enought to be reliable in close quearters, and even then it is recomend that shot at the side and the back to kill your targets fast enought.
and when zephyr uses its ability it freezes the mech AND it can't use its weapons or abilities, whereas guardian only crashes weapons system and special ability, but the mech can run away
Love what you did with the name, "wind of destruction" go backs to the mechs name, Zephyr, which is the name of one of the wind god's in Greek mythology, who is usually the chaotic one. (Edit: Guardian is still better:)
@Vezdjo yes but the guardian allows you to run away but the zephyr is stronger cuz you can't run away you can't do anything, the guardian is well balanced but zephyr is an unfair Mech it's ability range should be lowered from 30m to 20m cuz it's too OP, if people had to pick zephyr or guardian I bet you the shiny rock I found that they will pick zephyr.
3:05 Y'know what... I use Railgun 16 on my Zephyr, and that's unbeatable in almost any range! And you said Shock Pulse will not help in long range weapon, but when Zephyr is far, enemies usually find harder to aim and hit, and i have a weapon perfect for long range that I can still hit them hard! And if they came close they'll be a sitting duck in lion's mouth! One Shock Pulse and a Railgun shot in the Rear, Game Over!
Well Railgun is a no brainer, the only downside of that weapon is the reload time and nothing else, is an op weapon so it just work with anything. I think they are refering to weapong like the longarm which a damage fall off the closer you get to the enemy, so don't use weapons that are dependat on being far away. That being say in many circumstances Zephyr with Longarm can pack a punch is just not that ideal if you plan to get close an personal
@@RexMK- Well they clearly said "Long Range Weapons" and Railgun is one of Snipers, so I ain't wrong 'bout it, and that's the point that Railgun does optimal damage in every range, no close rage gap like Longarms!
@@lordkiwiz1535 Yeah but remember that railgun doesn't have the damage fall off of ther long range weapons and does the highest damage per shot in the entire game. Any mech with railgun can be beast
Not actually since when you used your skill too early some "real players" might target you since of your really op skill,just use shock pulse when you needed it
For guardians who notice you I simply charge towards them when they are not looking and trigger the ability before the guardian does lol. Sometimes we both do it at the same time and it's an awkward stalemate.
It's definitely a great Mech the only serious downsides are low health and speed other than that I find it good the only mech you have to watch out for is its rival guardian
Zephyr (and surge for that matter) are excellent ambush mechs. So almost all the 2v2 battlefields and some from control point clash maps. The skyship 11 is excellent for them because you can use the lower platform and sneak up on them and blow them up.
I hate the zephyr, It's ability is too powerful, especially when there is more than one in a battle running together. I can handle the frustration of being hit by a guardian's ability or being destroyed by a single rocket mortar, but the fact that my best mech that I have grinded weeks of playtime into in order to compete with the best mechs can be frozen with no movement or weapons capability and destroyed by a basic mech piloted by a noob is disgusting to me. I used to love building and battling mechs, but there's really no point in builds now that they can all be countered by the same basic mech with a grossly overpowered ability. I played a 2v2 battle where both enemies were zephyrs and they simply hid in their spawn area until a mech came close enough, then used the ability and got a cheap kill. They both did this over and over, there was no way to win against the tactic because it was an indoor map with tight corridors, and there were 2 of them so they could chain the use of the ability. They say the zephyr is a "tactically minded" mech, I see it as a totally lame way to win what I believe was originally meant to be a game of building cool mechs to battle in an arena(any idiot with thumbs could use the zephyr effectively). Bottom line, it IS overpowered and should be nerfed.
hey, zephyr's ability would be REEEAAAALLLY useful when the enemy mechs are surrounding you from every side. then you can use your pulse and freeze them, and run away(unless it's a long corridor)

Next, how about a weapon spotlight. Many new players are don't know which weapon is better and on other hand, the veterans are debating which weapon is trash that needs to be buff or which one is to op that needs to be nerfed.
I love Zephyr, and Guardian. But Zephyr has a few small things that make it a bit better and more difficult for a Guardian to destroy. 1) Its faster, as Zephyr has a speed of 18 kph whilst Guardian is only 16. Having that extra bit of speed is critical when you're trying to escape after you use Shock Pulse. 2) The rage of the ability has a further reach than system crash by just 1 meter!( btw i tested this out myself ) If you time it right a Zephyr can win against Guardian almost all the time. 3) The ability itself is op, system crash will knock out ability's that are in use such as: Ares's wide shield, Panther's stasis barrier even Shadows stealth. It will disable their weapons for a bit, but many guns have quick reload times ( like Arc torrents, shotguns, disc launchers and carbines) and this would be critical when fighting a Guardian as they would use their ability, waste it and then u can hit back with everything you got. But a Zephyr can stop the enemy from even shooting, even if their guns are fully reloaded which is a huge advantage. Not to mention Zephyr's ability has a faster cooldown than system crash. Either way both of the mechs are amazing, but that was just my personal opinion on Zephyr.
Hey, I'm back i just made an experiment about the weakness of the zephyr the tip is that when your team got shockpulse, you can use guardian to "unshock" your Teamates.👌
It says 30 meters for the shock wave. But I know for sure it doesn't always do that. I have seen in battle where the enemy is well within the range and its not affected.
Idea for a new type of mech- A mech which can produce holograms, like it can pretend to be somewhere and if you see it you might get tricked into shooting it and wasting your rifles. The hologram will have -1.NO NAME,2.NO COLOR(red or blue) which makes it identifiable. The mech can be called TRICKSTER and its ability be called FAKE FRIEND. To those watching right now: Zephyr was nerfed to the ground, and its EMP only lasts for 4 seconds now. Edit: its 3 seconds, only surge has a 4 second EMP
My killshot is great for taking out zephyrs. I launch my missile racks and dash in there and even if he hits me with shock pulse the ability and rockets will still hit it
Missile Racks are a serious threat.Whenever you just activate the Shock Pulse at the enemy using the weapon they can actually know where you are going. Last time I met a Zephyr coming at me I just fired at it after it stopped me and it died though I was still stuck in the place where it just activated it and then I died after the Zephyr.

Developers a small request after this great mech spotlight series , can please make a spotlight series about different game arenas ! There are so many arenas and player just know a few of them . Not to mention the new 2v2 arena just introduced . By the way if you ever find my suggestion nice don't forget to deposit some A-coins in my account ( God they are so hard to farm 😂)
Ther'es this glitch when zephyr and guardian use both they're abilities at the same time,th zephyr gets crashed but the guardian does't freeze.only sometime the guardian frezes.
