What degree of customizability is this game going to have? Because I can think of several gnarly designs if we can customize parts like it's gundam breaker.
AC6 for me was a dissapointment. This, Custom Mech Wars, the new Slave Zero were already having a resurgence AC6 had nothing to do with it mate. Been following these projects for a couple years.
Armored Core has always existed, yes. But not to the majority. As an old AC fan myself, I recognize why those games were niche for a reason lol. Armored Core only finally took off because Fromsoftware now has both a bigger budget for their games and a larger staff team to deliver a much more quality experience. Dont forget their recent success in the past 10 or so years with their other games and their reputation of the industry is a huge factor to ACVI's success and has allowed a much for a much broader audience to be introduced to Armored Core.
well definitely so but games don't just pop out of nowhere, it's been in development well before AC6 came out lol but I think AC6 definitely pushed them to show it off at The Game Awards, great timing is what it comes down to
@@megabumbusta2746 sadly, most people and gamers believe it takes less than a year or two to make a game. They’ve been spoiled by big developers like rayark who make a new COD every year
@@perilousloki4712 You shouldn't think I'm being "specific" by leaving a comment under this particular video, just about this particular game. I didn't say "Oh, a new mecha game, let's praise AC6 for it", no. However, in addition to Mecha BREAK and other fresh games in the genre, there were a lot of new announcements as soon as it became clear that the genre is not dead and is very appealing even to new players.
@@granknight Exteel successor indeed, maybe they haven't seen its from 2007 and it shutdown on 2010 after losing to lawsuit, hope that doesn't happen to this game
The ultimate purpose behind any design or mechanic in a game is, ultimately, to be fun. And this looks REALLY fun! Normally I have obvious facorites in which mech I like over another, but I kinda love each and everyone one of these. Though it's hard to beat the Zero-style thruster-wings. The mech builder in me can only imagine all of this tech working together in some kind of super unit, but that's the genre. I actually cannot wait to play this.

I was almost done with my blog about this game before I saw this in the recommended side bar. You just gave me more information about this game. I guess this means I gotta do my own leg work when it comes to journalism, but the up side side is not looking for other articles to reference will save me a lot of time. Especially on new projects like this.
Gundam Seed Freedom is on the horizon in January, Bumdai(Bandai) gonna capitalize on that again and might release a kidou senshi gundam seed rengou vs. z.a.f.t - 3.
The hits don't seem as weighty as Armored Core but its more like Zone of the Enders: Second Runner. Not a bad game to take inspiration from though. Glad Mecha is having a Renaissance after such a long dormancy.
I really hope you are able to combine some of these abilities onto other units to give it a little more diversity. For example. If I wanted to use those heal drones as a falcon player. I wouldn’t be able to do certain abilities before since I chose to use those but just opens up for more creativity an for other players to make there own unit build.
Heaaavy Armored Core 6 vibes, liking it so far tbh, just hoping that they make the weapons have a bit more oomph to them, especially the melee stuff. Loved how in Armored Core the melee weapons felt like you'd hit the enemy with a semi truck but still left you a bit vulnerable, good risk vs reward stuff. Looking forward to any new leaks and stuff cause this game looks like it could be really fun!
Just a random idea i got when watching this. Which is what if the different mechs had different voices than the same one we keep hearing. Kinda like Titanfall 2 has different voices for the titans? Would be interesting. Just an idea i wanted to share uh somewhere
My interest is spiked, but I have heard mission objectives on multi-player are just point capture missions, and that sometimes games end too quickly to enjoy combat. That's the difficult thing about games like this, the Devs have to get creative in creating scenarios for you to enjoy after giving you a superpowerful, super fast, transforming mech. The problem is that devs are terrified of creating something new because it's such a risk. The game looks great, but game play tops everything
This looks really good. Im a big AC fan thats craving more mech games similar to AC, that isnt Gundam, and this looks to satisfy that itch. Not sure if customisation is coming to this game but I just hope its not like AC4 where the meta was just "be the fastest at spamming buttons, your build almost doesnt matter". Im hoping there is actually a balance where some builds will be weaker to other builds but its still possible to beat the counter builds. Similar to AC6(that still needs a bit of balancing done)
This looks great, but, please, for the sake of accessibility, consider changing the flashbang effect on the Welkin to something less hard on the eyes. Maybe A heavily darkened screen with a gaussian blur effect instead?
Wanted to formally ask permission from you if its ok if i can use this footage for a reaction video and breakdown? Obviously with credits to you listed. Just started a channel and would love to cover anything related to this game. Big Mech Fan
