I wouldn't have bothered bracing that, clearly the Idler frame is completely knackered you should have just cut it off where it joins the Track frame and fabricate a new one weld in job done.

One great and difficult work. But Very well done . Amazing .

That excavator appears close to the end of its useful life. Or it'll spend more time in the shop then digging
