The fact that it’s a jet with no robot on the bottom and the fact that there is no fake chest cockpit or fake landing gear on the feet and so on is incredible, as much as I can see how people will hate this transformation, I adore it
Amazing figure, love the robot mode and can’t believe the aircraft mode. No Kimble at all seems, looks like a real f-4 phantom. But the most incredible thing about this video is the fact you were able to figure out how to transform this figure with no directions but a small PDF file that was to blurry to see and transform him from aircraft mode from box to robot mode back to aircraft mode. Kudos to you
you really give the best reviews man, I love how you look at other paint details. I always get bored when other people do it but, very cool man keep with it
HOLY COW. This is a spectacular Transformer!! WOW WOW WOW. You would have to bring a lot to the table to meaningfully improve on the way this bot mode at least looks. The Alt mode though, WOW!! That's a Macross kind of quality. I've always hated how flying Transformers have so much kibble in alt mode. This is astonishing. I might have to get 2,in order to adore bot and alt mode simultaneously I've ordered one based on your review - thank you. I never buy a Transformer you've not reviewed and approved. Thanks for a great review
Awesome model. Yes blitzing is a F4 Phantom, and im not sure if this is a design issue or mistransformation, but the rear wings should be angled down about 30 degrees.
The fact that there is no robot kibble visible in alt mode with this toy proves that the Toy World Aerialbots are lazy. All that large size and they still didn't stuff the bot bits inside?!!
@@frankmarzig1972 - I disagree. Look at the MMC Combaticons. They have very realistic alt modes with no robot kibble, either, yet they arguably do the Combiner thing even better than the lauded Toy World/Zeta designs. And the MMC units are all smaller than the TW/Z ones. I get why the G1 Takara/Hasbro tiny original Scramble City Combiners were all so blocky and kibbly. But there was no excuse for TW to jack everything up to MP scale but then still keep all the bot kibble so blatantly visible. Pure laziness.
This is the epitamy of Chinese 3rd party transformer magic-fuckery, absolutely incredible ttransformation techniques. Only grievance is that the rear stabilisers are much smaller than expected but 'tis a small price to pay. Btw the elevators at the rear of the F4 point 45° downward if you wanna get that moderately accurate look
wowowowow !!! no visible robot parts in jet mode !!! that's an engineering magic trick right there !!! Just look at the smooth underbelly of the jet mode !!!
Had this pre ordered.. but switched it for a pre order of the Zeta Flash. Hope you can make a comparison when he finally comes out.. and I don't regret my decision.
Great looking figure and I want to pull the trigger. But also think I'll have to take a personal day after transforming him. Geez what a transformation! Can't wait to see a comparison of this and Zeta. Wish that was out already too for comparison.
This thing is fucking beautiful. Most “movie accurate” flyers aren’t accurate, but this one is crazy good! The jet mode doesn’t even look like it transforms!
I agree. RU-vid's Stark Figure put them side by side, and the only way I could tell is by the light-up eyes! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C-fKxKt56bA.html
I just saw a video on the Zeta Toys version of Blitzwing and it looks way better than the pictures suggest. The transformation is similar to the Mechanical Alliance one but looks way more enjoyable. It looks like the robot cleans up a little better. Paint detail is still great but its definitely not as detailed As the MA. Still masterpiece quality and definitely recommended over the MA if you like to convert your figures a lot. Hope you review it as well.
Absolutely fantastic figure.. This is how all movie transformers figures should be. Not like hasbro's crap. Their masterpiece starscream can't even be compared to this. Look at blitzwing, no kibble whatsoever under the belly of the phantom jet. Perfect jet mode.. And so much cheaper than the $200 movie masterpiece starscream. Mechanical alliance should do a starscream and make Hasbro look like fools. They are just good for overpricing their junk and giving us inferior products. With millions of dollars and resources at their disposal they can't and will be as good as this.
Mine finally came today after 2 months waiting. Got him from ShowZ and the box was destroyed but thankfully he wasn’t broken. I wish the pieces would peg into each other. I like him but plastic feels soft and he’s floppy.
good video but you have to tell us when it is in the form of an airplane its base and how you sit on the base and with all its weapons from below as with the big bomb in the middle
vale muy bien, me acaba de llegar la figura. He intentado transformarla siguiendo tus instrucciones y... he sido incapaz. Esta muy bien traer las reviews lo antes posible, pero si en el momento de la verdad no vale, me toca a esperar a alguien mas competente como Emgo
So this and Zeta are basically two different versions of the same mold. This being the early Zeta design and Zetas being an updated version of this, and both releasing at the same time. Such a weird situation.
this is amazing! hi Ben, can you ask the manufacturer to make a trailer carriage for the optimus ROTF for weapon ring for the blackapple scale, thank you
how does the plastic quality feel? Does it feel like it could break with the slightest pressure? I know you should always be careful with these kinds of masterpieces but as someone who likes to transform their figures, there is a constant risk of snapping something vital.
@@BensKOllectables Anyway nice review. Amazing figure with little faux parts and a very detailed alt mode. Finally a blitzwing with an accurate F-4 altmode.
Can the tail stabilators be angled downward? On a real F-4 Phantom II, the wingtips were pointed slightly upwards diagonally with positive dihedral, and the rear all-moving horizontal stabilizers/elevators were pointed downwards diagonally with negative anhedral. It looks in the video like the wingtips have a detent to help keep them angled upward properly. So do the stabilators have a similar detent to help hold them angled downward?
I would have preferred you displaying the transformation without editing. This piece is complex, so we could have learned from you on how to workaround those difficulties.
FYI, there really was a proposed US Air Force jet called the XF-103 "Thunderwarrior". It looked like a giant cruise missile. But it never went into production. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_XF-103
Actually, it's the later variant F-4E (also F-4F, F-4EJ), because it has the longer nose, the bulge underneath that houses the M61 Vulcan cannon & nose landing gear, and leading edge slats on the wings. Due to Blitzwings paint scheme, the entire area ahead of the cockpit was painted black (similar to non-cannon equipped F-4s), when in reality, only the very tip of the nose should be black.
In terms of robot kibble in jet mode that is the best jetformer I've ever seen. It is marvelous. BUT It looks extremly not fun to transform (which is completely understandable considering but still relevant)
BEN BROTHER... I need your help (again)... I know we spoke about this briefly but do you think I should really go for it? Long story short I ordered it all the way back in late January when it was available for pre-order and in the beginning of May it hasn't even gotten to the order company from the buyer yet lol So it's probably going to be another month and a half. I was able to get my money back and I have found it, even cheaper, at another store. what do you think? is it going to break really easy? I love it I really do but it doesn't even fit my collection TBH because I now have mostly G1 masterpiece :-( I wish there was something to be done about the scales cuz I really like everything in scale it's like probably the most important thing to me.
cannot get the nose together to save my life. Edit: the little black piece that swivels in in front of the cockpit snapped clean off. Fuck it. I think I'll buy two and take pieces off just so I can make a jet mode.
i woulda loved to see a comparison with him and mpm-7 or the te-02 mainly for the fact 3a's bumblebee is way too big to be in scale with this figure same with 3a optimus
I kbow that they told it's blitzwing but everyone knows that it's an alternate version of starscream. I don't believe one seconds that 3D artists have blitzwing in their mind when they created it. The head, the chest... and i like it a lot, also if it's not a F15 but F4 is olso a beautiful jet. Anyway ok, it's blitzwing... they told, i believe...
impressive engineering to be sure and far better alt mode than the made up... thing studio series got. Really not a fan of the paint job though, i get its the hyper realistic styling but to me it kinda makes it look i dunno "grubby" with the excessive panel lining... Like a custom kitbash job someone is trying to ell on ebay (that never sell as they always look pants) or something I've picked up at a boot sale that needed a clean. For a statuette it would be great but on something i'mm going to handler I like a cleaner finish. Gundam's get away with the mega panel lining as its giving them an anime look, but on this, nah its just looks filthy.
I'd like to point out that you rotated those upper hip panels incorrectly at first. They're supposed to line up with the front intakes so that the red points down. The way you had it at first had the red point up, and it's a little annoying that you didn't correct that on camera. Also, if you want the jet mode to tab together better, I'd suggest watching PrimeVsPrime's review of this figure. Apparently it all has to do with a little tab that sticks out of the waist. If that's not tabbed in the proper place for the majority of the transformation, things won't tab together correctly. I say all this as if I'm actually gonna get this figure, but no. I'm going with Zeta's take, because the tolerances seem to be a lot better than on this guy and I believe it's a couple centimeters taller than this figure. The paint isn't nearly as good-looking as on this guy, but I'll take great tolerances over great paintjobs any day of the week.
Zeta is not known for sophisticated engineering or kibble-free designs, so I am skeptical of the theory that they made this. Is this the first figure from "Mechanical Alliance"?
Or maybe since this is a pre production model the retail one will have tighter joints. Makes sense right? Maybe? I think so yeah. Zeta doesn’t improve on figures. They ruin characters.
Apparently the zeta toys one has a more simplistic transformation and has a more solid rodot mode, but they dont have the usaf logos on the zeta version
once i got this guy in hand i hate to say i was not impressed... he does look really lanky and is pretty loose... not to mention i'm not a fan of that soft rubberized plastic they used on him (think old mcfarlen toys collectables) i want to like this guy but the fact it is so loose just ruins it... maybe i should have went zeta
No way. The studio series version was a made up jet fighter vaguely resembling a Eurofighter Typhoon or Dassault Rafale. This one closely resembles a F-4E Phantom II.
Please! Do not put the horizontals stabilizers in this position again. The tail was designed with 23 degrees of anhedral. Everybody makes the same mistake on the F-4 Phantom II.
please do me a big favor. can you please let me know if this one's going to break? I just broke my MP44 knock off, so it's a knock off so it's not that bad but... I had it for half of a day! It always sounds like I'm mad at you guys when I comment about breaking stuff but it's not your fault lol I'm just telling you guys so other people know to be careful
@@BensKOllectables I watched the video, did you say how much it was? I'm kind of busy (work)I can't give it my all at the second but, I paid around $189! It's even pre-ordered. not till March they told me
Why do you not show the hands you say fully articulated hands but you didn’t show it off some people don’t know what that means if they are younger so please show off the articulations in the hands
Why in the hell do we keep getting horrible robot kibble like the crap under MPM-10 when designs like this prove it's unnecessary it just plain lazy design?! I wonder if these guys are willing to rework MPM-10 Starscream
The F-22 is actually a very thick jet, so it should be fairly easy to cram all the bot bits up in there. (Look at the YF-21 prototype from Macross Plus: they actually did it, with an F-23 like twenty-five years ago.) I mean, they cram all of Arcee up under her car shell far better than most companies do with jet bots!
@@texasbeast239 exactly! The original MP Starscream looked awesome yet the mpm looks like complete shit yet look at how awesome this 3rd party KO looks. What's the deal Takara? You can do better especially for the asking price
@@grand_max66 weirdly enough I actually don’t think Zeta’s new design is that great. This one seems to have all the details and is a bit closer to the CGI model from the film, mainly with the details on the wrongs. I wouldn’t be shocked if this is the more accurate mould and Zeta sold it off to BMB before deciding they wanted to release a version themselves but since they sold off the design to BMB they had to change it.
@@TheFallofTheEleventh the chest, back, legs, and plane mode are all more accurate on zeta’s. Only the wings are slightly less accurate, though they e said they are changing them already.
