It's 8 at night. I've got no date. I've got my drink of choice. I'm fielding my Annihilator packed to the brim with LB 10-X AC's, alongside my lance of a Highlander, King Crab, and Warhammer armed to the teeth as well. Judgement and Retribution came on. Let's fucking do this.
My hero dragon drg with ac/10bf hero rifleman DNA with double Gauss, centi set for balanced speed and power, and an atlas bringing up the rear to terrify and destroy anything small, what I can't kite, my lance wrecks, this song comes on, nothing survives
A King Crab, Stalker, Marauder 2, and an Atlas walked onto a battlefield, then everyone else shat themselves and either died where they stood, or died tired.
For me it would be the Marauder 2, the King Crab, the Annihilator, and the Atlas. For me, they are War, Pestilence, Famine, and Death. In that order. And I actually named them as such
I love how everyone imagines their favorite mechs and favorite scenarios. It makes this game really personal. You put time and effort into your design, you weigh the costs, you tweak and balance; and then you go out and destroy your enemies with your favorite application of "excessive force". The mechwarrior experience is a special one.
@@MrSomebodyStrange Actually all the Houses are, in their own ways. That's why I prefer the Clans, it's either Crusader or Warden (Conquer or Protect). I find their ways a lot more transparent and direct.
@@vaskil99 I was talking about the comment section under your video, but you just outed yourself as a clan apologist. See? That's why Turkayyid happened how it happened. Absolutely zero subtlety!
@@deathtrooper9003 I'm a Goliath Scorpion at heart, even if they don't do much, they are effective and honorable to the highest extent. Although I am a huge fan of the Crusader attitude, so Jade Falcon is also a favorite of mine.
The Marauder and its accompanying lance of Catapults departed the bays of the Leopard, the armored titans bristling with particle cannons and missile pods. The war was to come to the Capellan Confederation, and the Marauder's lance was to be the spearhead, the titans the armored fist of the will of the Taurian Concordat. Hippity Hoppity, get off Taurian Property.
@@vaskil99 A pair of LRM-20s and a pair of PPCs for each Catapult, and as many PPCs and LRMs I can cram into the Marauder as possible. I see enemy 'Mech.. I no longer see enemy 'Mech.
There's a lotta comments about people's favourite mechs and playstyle, also the faction they do work for I am a simple man, and I do not understand much. But the battlemaster brings me much joy.
@@jadewedge6082 my favorite is an annihilator decked out in Lbx-ac10's Just fun to shoot at buildings from far away and watch the bullets spread across, destroying everything in their path. Grapeshot in a 100 ton mech, im tellin ya
I've always been partial to lighter mechs, especially ones with jump jets. My favorite BattleMech is and always has been the Phoenix Hawk. It's the Mech that got me into BattleTech, because it's based on the design of the Super Veritech from Robotech and the Super Valkyrie from Super Dimension Fortress Macross, two of my favorite animes.
This song personifies MAson's loss determination and lack of craps to give with all he's gone through. When this song comes on. The mission gets very real.
FINALLY! someone isolates my favorite OST. Im usually pretty chilled, as far as mechwarriors go, 'I'll just stick to range, and ERLLsb and lurm them.' But when J&R starts playing, and i hear "Attention, prepare for battlemech deparpture" I swear i grin like a madman, barely hold back the chuckle, and stomp out of my dropship looking for a mech to DFA with my Victor.
Haha! I know what you mean. This song really gets my adrenaline flowing. Not only is it great for the game but it's great for getting pumped before work.
Same here in Moscow, lancemate. Same here. It just gets under your skin. Is it Timber Wolf, Fafnir, Hauptmann, Dire Wolf, Atlas, Blood Asp, Awesome, Thug - you fell like right there - in the cockpit personally, riding on a god's shoulder, driving the colossus, walking death. "Operation first strike" does the same for me. My fists just become stone as the rythm goes higher and higher to the top.
@@user-cf2fl7nn7o An avatar of destruction… “Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.” And for those of you who prefer the ARROW-IV Urbanmech: “Now we are all sons of bitches.”
Ah, nothing is more satisfying than committing war crimes against Capellans from the cockpit of the reverse-legged personification of death itself that is a Marauder while this music is blaring in the background. Good times.
@@jayive34 I feel like most thing set in the Battletech universe involve the Gray Area of warfare, especially when mercenaries are involved. So yeah, plenty of war crimes to be had.
I just remembered that this plays in EVERY Campaign Mission where you face down Black Inferno And it made me realize, this song really does fit for when it's played Black Inferno have slaughtered MILLIONS of innocents, likely THOUSANDS of Mech Pilots, disrupted innocent families, waltzed RIGHT into YOUR home, attacked YOUR People, and KILLED your Father This song is part of the game, personified For when Commander Mason and Company came knocking on Black Inferno's front door... Andreas Kane must've SURELY known that it was time for his Judgement, and Nikolai Mason's Retribution
There's something about Black Inferno that makes my blood boil. I use either flamers or snipe the cockpit to make sure the fucks die. And I don't sell their mechs. I repurpose them with their paint scheme still on, just to use the machines of their dead comrades against them. I'm usually a leg-kill type of guy. I like to think that most pilots will walk out of the fight and reconsider their life choices. Not Black Inferno.
Yep, hence why He talked so much Smack to you during the Fight, He wanted to See what sort of Mechwarrior you had Become, so he got you fired Up for the Fight... He most likely Laughed in his Dying Breath, and said "You're Definitely your Father's Son, Well Done"
The stakes are grave as your lance of mercenary commandos are fighting to the death. Swarms of enemy armor, aircraft, and mechs are converging around you as their artillery fires ceaselessly on your position. You look around in terror as the odds seem to get slimmer and slimmer. Only your actions will decide whether you live or die.
This track - this glorious track.... it gets the pulse racing and makes me love this game 50x more. And if I'm in my Highlander-HM? Oh baby, it's on! I'm going to be vaporizing things with my Gauss rifle and cackling like a madman!
me, my HBK-4J I've affectionately named Carambolage, and a few hundred extra racks of SRMs I've kept on the burner just for this occasion its mechin time
This is the song I love, especially if running around with a Hero Cicada at 130 speed to drop air strikes and get out of there with 12 enemy Assault Mechs on my tail ("If it's stupid but it works, then it's not stupid"), or even better, just coring 10 different mechs in the same mission with a Gauss gun! :>D Thanks, Hero Orion!
I feel ya, it’s literally gotten to the point for me that I’m trying to learn game programming and modeling to make my own mech game. “Fine. I’ll do it myself” and all that xD
@@TheBennyester haha, as I mentioned. Still in the learning phase. But, if/when I get around to starting on the project in earnest I’ll try to remember to say so in here. But. Considering it’ll probably be a project years down the line for me, that is unfortunately unlikely for me to remember xD
This song reminds me of my absolute favorite mech in the game. Watching assault mechs confidently charging at me before they start limping as my KGC-CAR Carapace with 4 LBX 10s rip their leg off in a few salvos will never get old. Salvage heaven!
This song is give me cool stuff) when you play on Atlas, or Highlander, and you punch enemy mech in face, enemy is shutdown, and the music kick in. I love such moment in mechwarrior, and i think this is why developers choose such music style for game. It perfect match.
Perfect for when you go mech hunting in your BJ-A with top quality MG's. The enemy just don't have a leg to stand on when that little beast comes rolling in.
That opening oozes comstat dropping in on a fight over lostech between a merc company and some pirate or other entity neither of whom are packing anytbing over 55 tons...and they drop a whole lance of king crabs
Im gonna give this build a shot tonight once I find a Marauder what variant were you using, I just the Stalker 3F variant, oh my lord what a fucking crazy missle boat, as long as you dont give it any lasers the ai performs with it really well, I got mine set up as an lrm50 supported by my Atlast tank using an ac20, 3 MLaser, SRM6 STR, and two medium to large brawlers mostly sporting ballistics and energy as AI does consistently well with AC, Laser, PPC and so on.
So yea I tried it out with both AC2 and Burst fires and either one works and this is an AMAZING build especially when paired with LRM boat, this is an excellent harasser mech with low heat and good at tearing them to shreds.
I love listening to this while stomping around in my Blood Asp.... yes I have one in MW5 and yes I am an unapologetic filthy clanner. 6x Clan ER Medium Pulse Lasers + 2x ATM15's will really make you hate your life choices when on the receiving end.
Honestly, I think clanner is the only way to go. What isn't awesome about a crusade of over-powered mechs taking on the galaxy? Not to mention, they do it with honor.
Been watching my friends play this via Discord, and they got SUPER LUCKY last night with a Hero Stalker, a Devastator, a King Crab, and THREE Atluses! My friend said he'd be able to destroy the universe with that team (at least with the King Crab, Devastator, and two of the Atluses), but if I was playing the game, I'd be taking that Hero Stalker for a whirl.
Disregard females* , aquire C-bills. *Like, even those Draconis Combine, eh, "comfort women," swear to Blake they could contort themselves into a moebius strip if you payed them enough, holy shit!
Easily the best song on the soundtrack. Just the name alone tells you how spiteful Mason is. He held onto that hate for years, and when he finally got his chance. He cast his wrathful judgment and Black Inferno burned away in the fires of his retribution.
I like to play with the YAML, and Clan invasion mods. Nothing quite steps the same as walking out of your dropship armed with a Harjel equipped, monstrosity that’s somehow fitted naval PPC’s onto your kind crab’s hull The enemy steps forward with 4 atlas mechs only for them to lose their heads one after another. As a catapults saturation rockets overwhelm their AMS and support fire comes in from a Timberwolf
This is the song for fighting against the odds. This song played when my lance [Centurian, Firestarter, Shadow Hawk, Blackjack] had to raze a bandit HQ to the ground. I was pumped and ready to rip into them. Then a Rifleman appeared from within the base.
@@HawkeBM There's DLC missions that appear on the map or you get a notification about. The one I'm referring too was a series of missions that ended with my lance leveling a bandit base, just as you described. At the end, the big baddy was piloting a "Hero" rifleman with a pair of Gauss cannons. Damn thing hurt. Thankfully my Dragon has an AC20 BF (DRG-SDW Sidewinder) and made pretty short work of it once I got into range... but you end up getting the villians mech as salvage at the end of the mission.
@@HawkeBM I had it wrong, you are told to attack a base but then have to switch sides halfway through the last mission and DEFEND the base. (I won't go into why, spoilers). It's the RFL-DNA Diana you'll be winning, and it will be part of the Inner Sphere DLC
You can buy the digital extras for the game on steam at least, probably on the Epic Games store too. I bet it would only cost $10 at most and you'd get all the songs as well as support the game devs/composer.
If only MW5 had some form of proper Multiplayer, one or two Merc bands contracted to defend or destroy somewhere, and then one HIGH ass level band comes in and the others hear this fuckin playin, the song that screams to you like "Oh shit, what the fuck am I walking into?!" And you just walk round a corner and a full fuckin Assault Lance is there waitin for you piloted by badass players What this game could've been if Piranha Games actually tried... Still a fuckin banger of a song tho
