I have a group that plays older online games every Saturday night from 7 - 9pm ET. Everyone is welcome to join us. We play lots of PS2 games along with some PS3 and original xbox games. You can find the full schedule on my twitch page along with uncut videos and live streams

To play this game online simply change the DNS of your network settings to 45.7.228.197 then play online like usual.

So much fun playing this years ago. Online league was a niche community for this. Played with the clan SOW (Soldiers of War); intense matches!

I use to play with the clans T1A, AOW, and S2K. the online matches were awesome. Especially clan wars. 3 matches, each team picks a map, if the score is tied after the 2 maps, Calumpit Chaos was the 'neutral' deciding map.

It's rare to find people playing if you randomly hop on. If you ask around in some PS2 online groups you can usually find people interested though and you might even see people hosting an event here and there.

When i go online it says something like "the matchmaker service cant be found but you can still play lan" then i agree to the terms and conditions and i see a server list but so far ive not seen any servers listed,does this sound right? Or does the matchmaker error mean it didnt work

@SonicusZ Yes to both,I'm not sure what the issue is but it connects and passes the dnas check but fails to load the matchmaking service,I've joined the discord so il try to get some answers there

How do you change your dns? I can't even change mine because it tries to connect tto the previous one I entered but I can't get to the settings

You need to load up a game that has a network setup utility. Check this list www.teamxlink.co.uk/wiki/List_of_PS2_games_with_built-in_network_setup_utility

Yup. However don't expect just to hop on randomly and get in a good match. I've run into a couple people here and there randomly but if you want a decent amount of players, I'd recommend joining up some discord groups and see when events are happening.

@@Crazyitalian1995 Fans got a lot of servers back up for the PS2. You can play a bunch of games just by setting your DNS to 45.7.228.197 in your network settings. Some games use a different DNS but this is the most common one. You can also use xlink kai to play just about any game with lan support online.

I used to play this online back in the day with a ps2 phat and a network add on attached to the back . I was odorf. The ps2 slim is already capable to connect isn't it ? It didnt exist when I used to play

Yeah I used to have a phat PS2 and network adapter as well. Using a slim now, which yes it has everything built in.

When setting up your network settings for PS2 you just need to manually set your DNS to 45.7.228.197. Then you can simply connect like usual! This should also work fine on the emulator or a modded PS2. We are using the NTSC version not sure if PAL works.

I configured the DNS settings, but after connecting to the network, the message "A "DNAS" error has occurred (-864)" is displayed and I am returned to the main menu. What should I do?

I am using the NTSC version. If you are using PAL I'm not sure if that works. That's all I can think of at the moment. Your secondary DNS is 0.0.0.0. and it's a proper wired connection?

@@SonicusZ I entered the primary DNS in the Japanese version, but the connection failed. I think it's possible that the Japanese version is the same version as the PAL version.

@@yuuhi-0901 Hmm don't know anyone that plays the Japanese version so that's all new to me. A lot of people end up modding their PS2 so they can play every region though.
