Hockeytown appreciates Jake man, he was a beauty that all detroit fans had an absolute pleasure of watching. It looks like the Sharks are on their way up with a lot of excitement coming to town.
You guys are getting a solid D man, with an absolute clapper of a slapshot. He’s got a pretty nasty stutter step move he does along the blue line too. Sad Stevie traded Wally, but cap dumps happen. It’s just business.
Just started watching the red wings last season.. went to 2 games... after watching the stats at the first game.. i decided i was a Walman fan.. im sooo super bummed he got traded. I was mad to be honest. But hes going to be great wherever he goes. I'll still be a Walman fan. Love this guy. Good luck Jake.. "Do you have an idea what went behind being traded?" GMs will never reveal why they traded a player unless asked in a presser and even them they probably wont reveal much more than crumbs
The only way to free up cap space was to trade someone with value… outside of Seider, Edvinson and Walman, the Wings have no defensemen of value… we are stuck with them 😢
Meh, we didn't even make the playoffs. Sure, wings are on the rise, but he gets to go to a team with a supposed superstar otw. Considering sj could actually get a pick higher than #4, that's a plus
I know right? Lol. Being a part of a team that's just making their way into the playoffs, making a name for themselves as a unit, then getting shipped off to a highly taxed bottom feeder is rough. I wish the best for him though. He'll get top pairing minutes over there.
He's not excited at all. They are very good at saying the right things and staying professional. Excited to joing the worst team in the NHL last year.....sure you are......
Players can sometimes be excited about a bad team if it means they are getting more playing time or specific roles (PP quarterback, etc.) that they want to. However his role wont change much from Detroit to SJ.
