I'm so glad that you cleared in the beginning that medical billers don't have to deal with patients, I've been working in customer service for 18 yrs and desperately need to get out and find a job where I don't have to deal with people anymore, which is why I'm here 😊
As a medical biller, I just wanted to let you know that it depends on where you work if you will or will not have to deal with patients. I've always worked in the Healthcare Provider's office and have always had to deal with patients. I think maybe working in hospitals or bigger organizations, you may not have to deal with patients as Victoria stated.
Hello Victoria! I found your channel nearly 6months ago when as I transitioned to the HIM dept from another medical job within my Hospital system. I passed my certification exam this week!!😊 THANK YOU for all of the help you provide and for being so unselfish with information. I appreciate you🎉❤
Hey Victoria..... I've just passed cpc exam AAPC with 91% percentage.. Thanks my mentor Rekha ma'am and thanks to you for providing accurate and useful information about everything we need.... 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 .....
Just completed the masterclass! I am looking forward to starting my online course next month. I have taken the CCS exam twice already and I want to ensure that I pass next time. ❤
How do you get started as in to work as a medical billing and coding worker from home while you're studying for it without having to need a one or 3 to 5 year experience as a demand I mean, everybody has to start somewhere from the beginning that everybody starts with experience You get your experience as you're working and you're learning!! what would you recommend where to start from working from home?
I just finished the coding master class and it was helpful but i do have some questions that i hope you or someone else can answer. Since the Preppy course is billing and coding is it enough to prepare and get you ready for the AAPC CPC exam, does it get in depth like other CPC only programs? If i want to get a job a coder only, not biller, is Preppy a good choice or another program that only focuses on CPC?
I feel like i will be fine on the coding part as i see my co workers literally just searching the codes. But im gonna have trouble with the billing part cuz i have no clue how insurance work.
I enjoy your videos so much! I love your complete explanations. I do chart reviews and recently was asked to look at some Nursing Facility notes and I know they follow new guidelines. Are there any books or resources ( current) you are aware of that would be helpful? Thank you in advance.
Thank you for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoy the videos and find the explanations helpful. For Nursing Facility notes, I'm not aware of anything specific to that facility type other than just the general coding resources. Good luck!
Where do i learn medical billing from scratch. Like all the theoretical and the practical software knowledge regulation etc. Are there any good courses that you know that can help me land a job And also do i need to learn the medical related rules like insurance etc of the country in which i want to work?
Hello Ma'am I'm from India nd I'm working as a AR in US medical billing company so now I want to do a course related to medical billing for my future opportunities so can you please suggest that which course i should do as I don't have any idea nd that would be offline or online in India.
Hi!! I have my CBCS for billing but I am looking to further my future within billing & revenue cycling. What certifications or programs of study do you think are the best. I am trying to figure out where what to get next without spending all of this money on certificates to not have the right one. Thank you !
Do you have any advice for newly Certified Billers? I've applied to over a 100 jobs and still am not getting the opportunity to gain work experience in billing or as a Medical Receptionist. What can I do differently to improve my chances of being seen by employers? I tried reaching out to friends who are in healthcare field as a way of getting my foot in the door, but still no luck. I am hitting a wall and have no idea what to try to get my opportunity in this industry, which I've been trying so hard to get into the field, but with no results. It seems as though I am overlooked because of my lack of experience, which I can't gain if I am not hired.
There are a lot of job opportunities posted on Indeed as far as medical receptionists, or medical customer service representatives, to get your foot in the door. Have a good resumé and even walking into a medical clinic or any type of medical practice with your resumé and handing it to the office manager is the sometimes your best bet. Many blessings on your journey 🙏
Hi Victoria! I've been an LPN for the last fifteen years and am currently in my last semester in a tech college Medical Coding Specialist program. I have a B+ average in school but I feel like I will suck at this job in the beginning. I know there are productivity and accuracy parameters and I am feeling massive anxiety. Do most jobs have a training period or will I be expected to be error free right away?
Hi Victoria I am working as medical biller for 2 year would it ll' be good to moving towards Medical Coding through getting certification please advise me.
Hi mam , Can you please explain how to get into credit balance job? Hi, I had already take the medical billing and coding associate's degree program in 2018, and still could not get a basic starting job. I did not want to work on the coding side, mainly cause I understood the billing side more. Can you tell me what you think would help me even be considered for a job working in the healthcare field somewhere, i.e., certifications?
See this is what I am afraid of going to school and not finding a job. 3 people so far tell me they went to school and been out for 2 years an no job yet🥺
