You don’t know this but, you have been such a blessing in my coding career you have no idea! Your videos helped me pass my CPC 5 yrs ago when I had lost hope that I could ever do! You explained everything in such simple and effective way that anyone can understand any difficult subject, you saved me when I was ready to give up, and I am so glad I didn’t give up! I am in a place in my career now where I only saw happening in my dreams! 6 yrs later, I hold two certifications, landed my dreamed job finally, studying for two more certifications, and learning more and more everyday, and feeling I can conquer the word, I want to retire doing what you do, helping others who struggled like I did in the beginning of my career where I felt hopeless and lost, and I feel that regardless of all the sacrifices and struggles I have been through to get where I am today, it was all worth it! I decided to do coding after retiring from medicine after 20 years. I came in with a wealth of knowledge but felt i was just so slow in using the books and fully understanding. This lesson is absolutely amazing. It should be implemented in every program for all schools. Well done, well organized and so informative!!

This was very good! I have been studying AAPC courses and taking quizzes. This really helps me go back and understand concepts especially the last part with sequencing - that was perfect just what I needed. My issue is that sequencing and deeper coding with diabetes and fracture -advanced type stuff. Really enjoyed! Subscribed!

same here. I looked up their courses (AMCI), and students are raving in their reviews about the bootcamp and the mock exam that I'm going to take. Otherwise I highly doubt I will pass the test because I completely lost interest with this type of course. This video and the teacher gave me hope that my interest can be rekindled :) So well-explained and interactive, kudos to people who put excitement into coding!

@@couchalmighty So glad you mentioned your experience with AAPC. I nearly paid for their courses with Climb, but backed out once I saw the repayment loan amounts. I thought I would just pay myself later this year. But after seeing your response. I think I will skip AAPC courses and use RU-vid videos instead. Thanks for sharing 😊

I guess, it all depends on the teacher, if for example Missis J was teaching my class, it would have been an entirely different experience! 🤠 I think the problem with hiring teachers for these courses is that other places hire professional coders with no teaching experience. Teaching is an art in itself, it can either inspire or kill the student's interest in the subject completely... my last class was the second kind... I was so bored that i started to play a videogame 🙃 If you're good at self-starting, you could just purchase their self-paced course which is much cheaper... and supplement it with youtube videos and practicode.

Frankly speaking I wasn’t very interested in medical coding jobs as I didn’t gain much understanding while I studied at a community college, also I felt too much to follow all guidelines and rules. After watching your detailed explanation and instructions, I think I could do it and feel better as it’s not that hard. I like it as it challenges me finding correct codes🤗 Hopefully You would produce more valuable videos like this! This is such a great lesson! I'm currently taking an online course through a community college and all I have are a textbook, workbook and manuals, plus basically slides with brief lessons and quizzes online. I wish they also provided video lessons like this one! So helpful!

I am not a medical coding student. I'm just a person that enjoys understanding how things are done and the techniques used in completing tasks. I have learned so much about medical coding in this one video that I honestly think I can go sit for the state exam LOL. You're an amazing teacher! I know all of the medical coding students will do very well if they just continue to watch and study your videos.

Thanh you so much for your videos and especially thank you Mrs. J for helping me refresh coding knowledge that I have forgotten since 2017 I got my RHIT certification. I was very confused of not knowing where to look up the codes correctly when I was in college. After 5 years out of school, I didn’t work in coding field since graduation so couldn’t land a coding job although I am holding a RHIT. Again I applied for a coding position. Finally I got a call for a job interview. But before the interview, they asked me to do a coding test that I will have to complete in 4 hours. Therefore, I spent 3 to 4 days to learn from Mrs. J’s 3 videos of ICD 10CM and her CPT coding videos. I feel so confident to take the test and while I didn’t complete all 36 questions, but my coding answers impressed the hiring manager by following all the ICD 10 CM guidelines as I learned a lot from Mrs. J videos.
