just a question, I took a hiatus from nursing, going on three years now, and going over material to get back into it. When someone is having a heart attack, the rule of thumb is to place oxygen on the patient, regardless if tachypneic or not. If the lumen is completely blocked and oxygen can not get to the vessel, Do you think that the oxygen builds up in the blood an could be the cause for reperfusion injury. Is the oxygen doing more harm than good, prior to the blockage being removed?
