The guy wandering around at night with a torch is the medieval version of a security guard. I assume he is looking out for bandits and wild animals. Treasure hunter is a good perk because if you do a lot of clay digging you will find valuable jewelry. I always put in all 3 points. I usually find enough good stuff that I don't have to buy any gifts for the wife as I dig up more than enough...

I did not think I could put down a resource storage just outside a mine and access the storage from my town, thank you! This is gonna save so many trips!

Your npc is doing the watchman/guardsman nightly routes. Always at least 1 dude on duty at night. 😀😀

Nice episode. The mine you found also has iron it, it is just further down into it. The nodes refresh with every season, so you can go mining all of them once a new season started which should keep your stash consistent :) As for population, I do the same as you. Always start with some woman first before adding men to the mix. 😂

awesome series bro !! this game is lovely ! a good plan for you next 4 villagers is to set 2 in woodshed and 2 in excavation. this way, you wont have to spend half your days choping trees and picking stones. this way, you'll have more time for questing or exploring and looting. looking fwd for the next episode.

I love your series !!! That guy is doing night patrol. All the villages have them, usually two. They make sure no bandits come into the village.

Flax is definitely in high demand for crafting things and previously it was also one of the best crops to sell. Note some decorative containers have storage and are able to be placed anywhere while not being part of the universal storage network (sack and barrel) and can be used to store enough seeds for replanting so you can go wild with whatever is in the resource storage or your inventory without worrying if you are taking from the seed needed for next crop. Once you have flax you can higher another villager to make thread and linen cloth then you can make bags with I believe it is leather and the linen cloth. Xp all round and a more durable bag. (Made at the table in the sewing hut) Flat bread can be a good food for the village once you get there. Also the windmill was previously the most efficient way to make flour.... perhaps it still is if you wish to sell or craft with flour a lot going forward Oats and Rye line up very nicely to rotate so they are a crop combo I do tend to micromanage... Looking forward to seeing you explore this update more and delve into the animal husbandry side... sheep were my fave money maker. Wonder if that's still true? The sold for a good price from a breeding standpoint and both male and female produce the wool which can be sold or processed into other things to be sold or used for crafting. Question: can you collect manure still from the piglets?

Your excavation shed can now get copper ore, and when you get the technology unlocked, you can put in the mine. Once you do that, you can get Iron. Some deep caves will give you iron, but not always. It is always deep into it.

Great series so far. Have owned the game for a long while but never got into it enough so learning a ton.

I'm playing the campaign or the story mode and I believe you are playing the co-op mode alone, I tried that once and didn't make much sense as I started in a big city and the map was different. I exited and went back to playing the story mode. The grind has been slow as I've been picking on things and game mechanics slowly, just practicing now and will start fresh again. Thanks for these videos mate.
