You are so right. Honey, I was a stay at home mom when the kids were little that my husband would have ever said something like you aren't working so you have no say or you aren't working. Woo, chile... I think they are young but I don't think he was any more childish than excited 45 year olds wanting a Disney princess movie wedding or fairy wedding or a doll house wedding (girl, I was creeped the heck out).

@@lorijenkins419 He barely opened his mouth at the original sit down meeting with the wedding planner and the bride was already starting with the "it's MY money", "you've been back long enough to get a job", "you didnt pay for the invitations so you dont get a say", etc..it is one thing to be the one paying the bills and having your budget be respected but that does not give her an excuse to speak to her future husband in such a demeaning way, especially on television. 90% of the scenes are her shitting on the groom due to finances (plus bringing it up in front of people when he isnt even there). These issues should be discussed in private. She wanted to force him to wear pink solely because of her paying...if he was the one paying and he forced her to wear a certain dress people would call him out yet nobody says shit about her doing it.

@@naiadolling Yupp. If she has such a problem with him not contributing financially then she shouldn't have been marrying him. It's not like this was a new issue, either don't agree to get married, have a longer engagement until the financial aspect is taken care of, or suck it up and treat him the way she would expect to be treated if she was the one who wasn't contributing.

@@yolanda-kayrobinson6254 I agree. To me that would be red flag. I don't think it is right that she kept putting him down. Everybody wants their dream wedding rather you are the bride or groom, so there is no reason to criticize.

She literally made comments about him not having money in 90% of the scenes she was in, hell there were scenes where she was still talking about it and he wasnt even there. I completely agree that he needs to contribute to their life together but the way she belittles him in front of everyone and anyone at any opportunity is disgusting. Even after he got a job, she still didn't want anything to do with any ideas from him even though he now had an income. Its obvious that the bride wants to be the one to wear the pants in the relationship and have complete control. While some of his ideas were a little out there at least he wanted to be involved and cared enough to want to make their wedding day memorable. She has no creativity or imagination at all, just the same ideas that every generic wedding magazine has. I think the medieval theme could have been really outstanding if she could've stopped with the "me me me me me" mentality, loosened up, and actually tried to have some fun. It was definitely a wasted opportunity. Hopefully his next wife will have more of a fun loving spirit to match his cause I don't see these two lasting with how nasty and critical she is towards him.

He ended up getting a supervisor job of events. I didn't see anything wrong with after college not going straight to the gas station for a job (nothing wrong with the job or anything, ijs). My daughter finished nursing school and it took a few months but she got a job a good clinic. She didn't just get a job (not putting them down) I'm just saying there is nothing wrong with getting what you want.

As I have been watching these more and more, I have really started noticing that this planner definitely has biases against things and isn't afraid to show it. It's pretty aggravating.

Having been to a real medieval wedding, where the groom was Henry VIII and was in a Kentish Castle in England, they can be amazing. Everyone wore costumes, there was real jousting, knights galore, and festivities applauded by banging on the wooden tables. The saddest part was the photographer dropped his camera and accidentally exposed the film, losing all their pics. We had to send them any photos we had of their special day. My dad was a monk, my mum a nun, brother Blackadder style outfit. I was a regular little rich girl lol.

Ok so by your logic Lori that means that any bride who isnt financially contributing to the wedding should have their ideas completely ignored. Or is it different since "men are supposed to be the providers" or because "a wedding is the happiest day in a woman's life"? The 1950's called and they would like their stereotypical gender roles in society back. While you might think his ideas were dumb there are many people, including myself, who would have loved to attend a medieval themed wedding. There are plenty of ways that the theme could have been incorporated in a non tacky way that would have made the wedding memorable and fun. I'm sorry but her simple black and baby pink theme looked like every other wedding.
