This short guided meditation available on the free Plum Village App plumvillage.app/ is an excerpt from the 'The Way Out Is In' podcast series - conversations between journalist and Plum Village lay friend Jo Confino, and Plum Village monastic Brother Phap Huu alongside other guesting monastics. These meditations conclude each episode with practice contemplations on the theme.

#25 'Meditating On Death': In this episode Brother Phap Huu and Jo contemplate death and dying by looking at the teachings of the five remembrances and 'no birth and no death'. In loving memory of Thich Nhat Hanh, the two talk about his teachings on 'continuation', and also what it means to 'die well'.
In the closing meditation, Brother Phap Huu invites us to contemplate these teachings:
''I'm aware that I am healthy now and I want to live to nourish my wellness everyday. Let us enjoy the simple things of life. I am also of the nature to die, when it comes may I have a smile upon my face.''
