Mee Hoon Kueh 面粉粿(面粉糕) | Singapore Comfort Foods 古早味面粉粿食谱
Hey everyone, welcome back to g8stromania. Today, my mom will be sharing a comfort food that many Singaporeans enjoy: Mee Hoon Kueh. This recipe will be using hand pulled "noodles", 100% authentic and we will teach you how to make them. It's also a rather simple and old school dish, definitely one that everyone in the family will enjoy.
For this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:
220g plain flour
110 ml water
200g minced pork
4 prawns
150g spinach
4 dried mushrooms
60g anchovies (Ikan bilis)
30g shallots
Pork Seasoning
Dash of white powder
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tsp light soy sauce
1 tsp Huadiao Wine
2 tsp sole fish powder
1 tsp corn starch
Steps:
1. Fry anchovies until fragrant and crispy
2. Fry shallots until fragrant
3. Add water, and anchovies to make stock soup base.
4. Add the pork, and kueh.
5. Add prawns, simmer, veggies and mix well.
6. Ready to serve!
